Hello, This review will be long and detailed for better reading experience and understanding of how the staff is like, in my experience. I had 2 root canals before, both caps fell off, one year later, i finally decided to see a dentist, I didn't care much to find a dentist until my sister pointed out my bad breath lol. And look what's in the mail? A paper advertisement of Vimal Patel, DDS Dentistry! I mainly read and noticed the part where it said, "We even help patients with no Dental Insurance!" Because I have no dental insurance. So I call and the lady on the phone is very nice and proffessional, she help me fast to scheduelle my dentist x-ray and exam, only 2 days in future, very fast, i was expecting like a week or 2, but 2 days in advance, very nice! I asked her if it was like the flyer said, $39 for teeth xray and exam, she confirmed yes. Inside their office is a lovely pictures of fishes on the cielings, i'm sure everyone will love to see that! Very creative mind who ever thought of that awesome idea. The inside of the office building is very neat and clean, no bad smells what so ever, unless you have breath. And when I came into the office, they charged me $39, they hold TRUE to their word! I love that! Because my previous dentist that was super far away, would say a low price on the phone to me and when i came in the next day, the price i paid was all of a sudden more than what was promised on the phone. So, this dentist at Dr. Vimal Patel is a good place, they hold true to their word or whatever is on the flyer. Thanks for that, really. Sneha was my financial adviser and she is wonderful, helped me get the right payment plan that works for me, she's patient and kind, friendly. I think it's a pretty cool payment plan too, btw. Sneha also gave me a discount for the cleaning, because i had the flyer with me that stated $75 cleaning and whitening. Stephanie was my x-ray picture taker, she did a fantastic job. very sweet, all the staff at this location. She gave me 2 coupons to refer my friends/family members too, for $75 cleanings. Everyone talks to everyone like real people, not like mindless robots. But yes, everyone is very proffessional as well, this place is really good, mainly because of the staff whom work really hard for their patients. So, patients, please be nice as well. Dr. Vimal Patel examined my teeth, very fast, took pictures. And when you arrive, the wait time is minimal, like 5 or 10 minutes, not long before they call you in. So, you know the staff works really well on scheduling. Even though I schedulled for an xray/exam only, i asked if i could also get a cleaning the same day, so they checked to see for any cancellations and gave me a cleaning 3 hours later, i just had to drive back, but that's okay, because i live only 16mins away, but it was still same day. Front desk, Wendy, is really good too, proffessional, kind, possitive, quick and attentive to everyone upon arrival, gets straight to the point. Brenda, the dental hygenist is very friendly too and was very gentle on cleaning my teeth. I felt nothing, she also gave me tips on how to floss and brush my PERSONAL teeth, like the areas she see's in MY teeth that are problem areas for me. My previous dentist never did that, I thought that was really cool of her too. She also gave me a free toothbrush, floss, and mini size toothpaste, the toothbrush is really cool too, it goes in all directions, i'm really into the design of the bristles on that toothbrush. I've never seen a toothbrush like that before. Anyways, 2 days later, was my appointment for my 3 cavity fillings. Again, quick and easy schedulling, done at the earliest. Alyssa was mine and Dr Steven Gilberts assistant for my fillings. She did a great job at making me feel comfortable and laughing as well as Dr Steven Gilbert. They both took their time and were patient with me until the fillings were nice and level for biting. 3 white fillings for cavity, took like around 30-35mins. Fast. All in all, Dr Vimal Patel, DDS Dentistry at 240 East Stetson Avenue, Hemet, CA 92543 is a really great place to go and get your teeth fixed. It's a nice place, filled with great staff and a great atmosphere. You enter happy and you leave happy. And upon reading other peoples reviews, many have been 5/5 satisfied with this place as well! And I have never ever read the reviews before I entered this place, until I was asked to leave a review. So, it's great to know that other people have had a great experience here too, not just me. And in the waiting room, the patients all look good too, no one looks agitated as if they've been waiting for an hour or more. So that is good too. read more

So let me start off by saying I absolutely HATE the dentist. It gives me so much anxiety when someone even brings it up. This is caused my numerous bad experiences in the past and also, is there even anyone who actually likes the dentist? I mean come on, the smell, the sounds, it's not everyone first choice on the list of things they want to do. So, like many people who have dental anxiety, I put it off for years. (Which I have recently found out by numerous people is actually very common, don't be ashamed.) and of course after many years of not going, I wind up with some pain. I still put it off for a few months, and then I get an abscess. And then I know, it can't wait any longer. I have to freaking go. So, I open yelp and dr Patel is one of the first offices to pop up. I read every review. Not even kidding. I was pretty much sold with everyone saying how great this dr is and his assistants when it comes to people with a fear of the dentist. Then, I read reviews of other offices to explore my options. Then I wind up back here. I work up the courage to call and make an appointment and here we go, it's actually happening. When I get there, the girl at the desk was so amazingly nice (I'm so sorry I didn't catch her name) I get called in not very long after I finished filling out my paper work. And was greeted by Jocelynn, who would be the assistant helping me today. I immediately told her I hated the dentist and I was extremely nervous. She told me she completely understood and from that point on, I felt so comfortable. She made sure to tell me everything that was going on and when she was doing the x rays she told me how far back she was going to have to go and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I can't thank her enough for how sweet she was to me and didn't look at me like I was insane. (Like other dental assistants have in the past) thank you SO SO much jocelynn, you are a huge reason I will continue coming back! When the dr Patel came in he asked me how I was doing (don't think any other dentist has ever asked me that before) I told him I was nervous and he said that it was fine and when he went in to check my teeth he made sure to ask if he was hurting me at all. Then when he was done and he was looking at my x rays he asked where I worked and actually made conversation with me. I've literally never had a dentist be so nice and caring before. I'm used to them just coming in and out without even saying anything to me. I went back to today to get fillings and again, he made sure I wasn't hurting every step of the way and asked how I was doing all of the time. Also the assistant today Alyssa was also very nice and told me how great I was doing when it came to getting the numbing shots. Overall thank you to dr Patel for being so understanding about how nervous I am. And thank you for making sure I am okay every step of the way you have no idea how nice it is to actually have a good dentist for the first time in my life. And thank you for having such an amazing staff who truly cares about their patients. I'm so sorry this was so long but I really hope it helps someone out there who was just as nervous as I was and helps them get into the dentist sooner rather than later. Charged $110 for service D1110, months earlier billed $60. No explaination could be obtained. In September 2008 I visited Dr. Patel to have an inlay glued-in. After the inlay was placed, he suggested that I would benefit from a "cleaning" as he noticed some buildup on my teeth. I agreed. Within a very short time the "cleaning" was completed and then his wife polished my teeth rather quickly. For "cleaning" my teeth (only the area with buildup) I was charged me $110: This service was performed in about 10 minutes and included no X-rays and no "oral Evaluation" checking the mouth in detail. This seems to be an uncustomary charge for his service based on my past experience. A review of the itemized September and June 2008 billings either show an outsized increase in the fee for: D1110 "Cleaning-Adult (Transitional or Permanent Teeth)" or a mistake was made. In June 2008 the fee was $60 and in September the fee was $110. A cumulative fee of $110 was charged to me in June 2008 for several services associated with service D1110. These additional services were: $10 D0272 (medical) 2 Bitewing X-rays $10 D0220 (medical) Intraoral - 1 Periapical X-ray, First Film $10 D0230 (medical) Intraoral - Additional Periapical X-ray $20 D0150 Comprehensive Oral Evaluation These additional services and D1110 tally up to $110. I wrote Dr. Patel several times by mail inquiring as to the $110 fee for service D1110. I even delivered a copy of letter to his office in person. I never did receive a response or explanation. I did partially resolve the issue with Dr. Patel when I visited his office to verbally inquire. I posed my inquiry to his office assistant who queried Dr. Patel who then inquired "how much do I want" to which I responded $50 and I subsequently was given a check. I still have no explanation for the apparent over-billing of service D1110. read more

The incompetent X-ray technician had to do the X-ray 3 times because he didn't know how to do it properly and finally, he stopped trying after we got really upset with them. After that, GREEDY DOCTOR PATEL came into the room and showed us with a special camera ON HIS BIG SCREEN TV which he has there especially for UPSELLS imaginary cavities that my wife apparently had (LIES) and told us it would cost $3000 dollars!! We didn't want even to listen to him because we already have experience with business men in disguise as doctors so we started to walk out and he got all upset and wiped his greedy smile from his face. BOTTOM LINE - THIS IS A GREEDY AND A DISHONEST SO CALLED "DOCTOR" AND HE HAS A WHOLE UPSELL SYSTEM OVER THERE IN ORDER TO MANIPULATE OLDER AND NAIVE PATIENTS INTO PAYING HIM THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR TREATMENTS THEY DON'T NEED AT ALL. Thank you Dr. Patel & wonderful staff, I'm beyond pleased, Im the biggest baby, and have put off going to dentist due to the fear of pain and just not comfortable with anybody in my mouth lol... But the sweet doctor and his staff were all so nice and caring, they understand the anxiety that goes with going to any dentist, and. Assured me that I would not feel any pain at all. I had a Root Canal & extraction and felt no pain at all, I also appreciated that he kept checking. On me asking if I'm OK, and talking me through each step, Dr. Patel's bedside manor is Excellent, his affordable payment arrangements allow patients to afford getting all treatments necessary, and he and his staff makes you feel comfortable and at ease. My daughter who had a bad experience elsewhere also had anxiety seeing a dentist, and also seen Dr. Patel and felt no pain and trusts him. She loves her dentist!!! Im no !longer afraid of seeing a dentist, I'm comfortable with Dr. Patel, and will keep him as our family dentist!!! I would highly recommend Dr.Patel to everybody & anybody, afraid of taking that step , I promise you, you will never be afraid ever again, after meeting him and his caring staff. I have been seeing Dr Patel for a couple of years now and I really like him! If you are looking for a great Dentist that understands you are a bit nervous. He is gentle and talks you through what he is doing and he always ask if I'm doing ok. He doesn't have a problem or get mad with stopping for you if you need a break. And the Biggest thing is getting the shots to numb you. He is the only dentist I know that is gentle and you don't feel it at all! That is huge for me!! I hate shots! Since he has been good with me, I take my kids to see him as well. He talks with them and puts them at ease. I am also able to be right by my kids side while they are sitting in the chair. My youngest usually wants me to hold her hand while seeing the dentist and he is fine with you being there! He even talks and shows me inside their mouth for any concerns for him or me. I really like that. I also love the girls at the front desk. Very nice, polite and always has a big smile. The dentist assistants are friendly too. I haven't come across a bad person there. This was my children's and my first visit to Dr. Patel and we could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. To be honest, none of us had been to the dentist for a few years, so I was afraid of what may come. My kids, ages 7 and 6, were a little afraid. I made my appointment first to make sure it would be appropriate for my kids. My checkup was great and I had no new cavities. However, I did need a filling replaced (it had fallen out) and there was significant decay once he started drilling. No problem. While he suggested a crown due to the extensive decay, I only had filling money, lol. But I will definitely have him do the crown when I need one. It was COMPLETELY PAINLESS! I didn't feel the shots or the procedure. My kids also had a fantastic experience. Dr. Patel and the hygienists were professional and age-appropriate. They worked on both kids at the same time in different rooms. Neither kid had cavities and they both got to select a prize from the treasure box. Today was our very first visit to Hemet Family Dentistry. We had just moved to Hemet and our son needed major dental work before he needed to leave out of state to return to college. We had several challenges to overcome in order for this to happen today; finances( no insurance).. They not only offered Care Credit( a fico based credit) AND a private plan ( non credit based).From the moment I called to walking in the front door( beautiful decor), the mood is light, happy & professional . State of the art equipment( important because it revealed our son had a few more cavities than a X-ray he had taken somewhere else a few days prior). The work our son needed was extensive (11 teeth). Dr. Did it all in just a few hours( teeth whitening also). Painless injections!! They also gave us several discounts where ever they possibly could( unheard of)! I started going to Dr.Patel early this year and can honestly say that him and his staff are by far the most knowledgeable, professional and caring dentist office I have ever been. He has personalized my smile by taking care of my needs first (root canal, infection and full mouth clean up). Their flexibility between their two offices the Moreno Valley and Hemet allow me to fit my schedule needs. Carla the main office receptionist is a pleasure to work with and it's a great asset to the office since she is extremely detailed in the cost and options based on your dental insurance. Today I was pleasantly surprised when a young gentleman with the Name of Angel subsided my fears, not only was he trustworthy he made me laugh really hard thank you Angel that was refreshing and is always welcome in my book. My visit was based on x-rays due to bad tooth thus needless to say my visit turned out to be quit the pleasant one. I am TOTALLY RECOMMENDING DR. Where do I start? I've never had a pleasant Dentist visit until I found Dr.Vimal Patel. I am so amazed on how profesional his assistants & him are! I had the pleasure of being helped by Alyssa, Stephanie, Marwa & Joselynn and they were all equally incredible, they reassured me every step of the way that I was in good hands & if I felt any pain just to let them know. I had 9 cavities & now I'm down to one which is being filled on my next visit & I haven't had pain not one day! I have been there 3 visits, soon it will be my fourth & I can't believe I can just walk in there with no fear or being nervous at all. This guy ruined my life . I walked in asking for help with 1 tooth that another dds had broken the root of by taking a grindIng tool to it to make room for a crown that was poorly fitted plus upsold me into two crown which I didn't need but then proceeded to put a severe crack in the tooth above so I went to Patel for relief. instead tried to upsell me into $5000 of work but when I said no he took that tooth plus the two teeth out on either side..repeatedly w/ out taking no 3D printer not duplicating those teeth spent a year and a half ' adjusting' so I have spent the last 5 years or so in such pain it's going to e me writing reviews on his careless greedy... oh don't worry about the $ we have Care Credit... and No the really nice guy & nice staff doesn't make me feel better. The only dentist I trust. W/what teeth I have left. My last visit was after a 2 year lapse. They wanted to take out a tooth on my bottom front and put in an implant. Way too pricy since there aren't many left on my bottom. Lol. I declined this procedure and will get a full denture bottom implant at some point. It did not make since for me to do this when I'll eventually have to do this procedure anyway. It felt like I was being sold a car. The staff is very friendly. The office manager is top notch. The dentist, I love & trust. But I realize it's about the $$$. I most likely will have to go somewhere that I don't want to go to for the simple reason of being cost effective. I have been a patient at this dental office for years and yesterday was my first time taking my daughter. I've always received the best care so I expected no less, yet they managed to exceed my expectations. Upon arrival, immediately we were taken care of by Marilynn who was friendly and efficient with getting us checked in. My daughter was very nervous to go to the dentist for the first time but Michael ensured that she was comfortable and explained everything he was doing, step by step. He took great care of her and was very professional and proficient throughout. We left ready for our next appointment and she's no longer afraid of the dentist! I have been going to Dr. Patel for over 5 years, because he is the best! Not only is Dr. Patel a great dentist, but he is a great person. The office has assembled an incredible staff that is friendly, and sincerely cares about your dental and personal well being. Racquel, the business manager, is by far the best in the business. She is incredibly personable, and works very diligently to ensure the most from your insurance. You won't have any questions about billing or payment options, as she has all the answers! You will not find a dental office anywhere, that is so friendly, values you as a patient, and cares about you as an individual. Best and most gentle dentist I have ever been too!! Dr Patel has performed 2 root canals and multiple other procedures on me and there has been no pain!! I started off telling him I was terrified of the Dentist and he assured me right away that whatever he did, he would make sure he didn't hurt me, and he was completely right. He has a great sense of humor and now I also have my children seeing him as well. I'm moving to AZ soon and will be making the trip to Hemet for my dental appointments he is THAT amazing. Plus there simple pay programs has allowed me to get work done that I normally would not have been able to afford. And Raquel the manager is an absolute sweetheart. 5 stars all the way!!!! read more

I began dental treatment with Dr. Patel about a year and a half ago. I had just moved to California when one of my crowns cracked. Being new to the area, I just starting googling dentists close by. Luck was with me that day because I came across Dr. Patel. Since the initial appointment, I have had extensive work done and it has all been first class. Although no one enjoys going to the dentist, it's always been a very pleasant experience with Dr. Patel and his staff - Vanessa, a tech, in particular. And by the way, I've never had a dentist give "numbing" shots like Dr. Patel - completely pain free! I would highly recommend this office for anyone's dental needs. read more
