It's possible to find the particular Oregon liquor store that carries your desired product on their website. When the scotch I desired was only available in Bend, Oregon, I inquired as to whether this store would order the scotch for me. They said yes (a different store in Lake Oswego flat out said no way) and were extremely helpful. So this is my "go to" liquor store when I am in the Lake Oswego or Tigard area.

But what a difference a change in ownership has made (we miss you, Kev). The store has steadily gone downhill. First it was not restocking the more interesting specialty malts. Then it was not restocking basic things like Golden Promise. Then it was the yeast selection. Then the cleanliness started to go downhill. You go in there and all the surfaces are dusty and sticky with malt dust. It was never like that, ever, before the new owner. The last straw was recently. I went in to stock up for a batch. Almost every base malt was out. No Maris Otter, no Munich, no Vienna. That can only be one thing. Terrible planning. Terrible management. I walked out and ordered online. I don't plan to return.

It just feels like everyone is welcome, we get to pick which wines we want to taste, and there's a bottle of something for every preference. $15 for 6 2-ish oz pours and there were more than 12 wines available, so my husband and I each made our picks with only 1 overlap and got to try most of the offerings. We stock all kinds of wine in the house: red, white, bold, dry, sweet, earthy, blackberry, and more. We bought a bottle of the white blend and twilight blush because they were delightful and flavors we felt were missing from our cabinet. I see us stopping by a couple of times a year for an easy afternoon date to get some fresh air, sip a variety of wines, talk and decompress, and still have enough money to take home a bottle or two without breaking the bank. She completely ignored us as we stood in the foyer, obviously waiting to be seated. If you're going to work in hospitality, at least be cordial. We finally were taken care of by Sam who made up for our initial impression. Sam was warm, friendly, and hospitable which complimented the great wines we tasted. There wasn't a bad wine in the bunch.
