Clam chowder is one of the mildest soups I have ever eaten, but this place put so much spice in it that it was unedible. Clam chowder is not known to be so spicy. Also, the chowder looked more like potato chowder... big chunks of potato in it. And the steak bites were awful. Oswego grill serves up way better steak bites than this place. I wouldn't recommend this place for the food, but the service was outstanding. read more

I came back here yesterday for some snacks and to watch the game and the place was pretty packed. There was only one server/ bartender working, and she was running around everywhere. He turns it to zero, stares us down, and turns on some music after we spent close to $100. Loved it. Came with my good buddy Julia who was paying. She heard great things which didn't jive with the current 3 1/2 Stars. After a great meal, they earned my 5 stars. I had a Reuben that was just perfect. Very tasty with the right mixture of meat cheese and sauerkraut. Monique helped us (she's awesome) and recommended the side Hungarian mushroom soup. She said it was to die for. It was fantastic. Julia had the burger and tots. She said the bun was soft and fresh. She really enjoyed it. It was lunch time, so wasn't into any cocktails. I enjoyed the two beers I had while I visited this establishment. From the very first encounter with the bartender I could tell she didn't like me. It was really off putting but I still remained polite and tipped her. I played some of the lottery machine and went to cash out my tickets. I waited a few mins for her to acknowledge me and then a woman came up next to me, and the bartender immediately asked her if she needed anything.. the woman was like, umm I think this man was here first.. it was really strange why this female bartender did not like me.. maybe they don't like visitors who aren't locals.. Went in a few nights ago and witnessed the bartender and cook having an argument. Cook was so upset he thrashed around the kitchen then left the place to sulk outside. The bartender was slow. I blew it off. Came back tonight and the bartender was almost non-attentive. More time vaping outside than taking care of customers. I had the potato soup. The cook asked how it was and it was great. He took my order for a plate of skewers and 40 minutes later I never got them. I informed the bartender when I closed my check and she said "if you didn't tell me, it won't get cooked." But, like I said, the cool took the order because the bartender was non-attentive. I realize now I am the victim of the tiff between bartender and cook. This place is destined to fail. read more

If you are looking for a casual spot to relax and have a drink with a friend, this place does fine. If you're looking for a bar with really good food, drink selection or something more, I'd go somewhere else. The ambiance was really noisy, so much so that my brother and I had to repeat ourselves often even though we were sitting across from each other. The food served its purpose and wasn't gross, but wasn't great either. They had a limited selection of beer on tap and did not have a drink menu on the table. My biggest gripe other than the noise was the clientele. There was a mix of middle-aged customers who were acting like they were 21, and people in their 20's who were loud and some of whom looked questionable. The staff was friendly, the prices were reasonable and they had plenty of visible TVs with the sound piped in through the place making it a better spot to watch a game than most. I've had this place on my list of places-to-try back when it was full of 5-star ratings, but my recent experience here left me very confused. The owner (I presume) informed me that the restaurant part of this place is in transition after turnover, with a smaller temporary menu. The BLT Sandwich wasn't good, resembling something you would get at a gas station deli. The bread was hard as a rock and cuts the roof of your mouth, and the inside was barren and thin for $9. The tuna albacore sandwich was just gross, bland and tasteless and I was done after one bite. The steak bites, which weren't on the temporary menu mind you, were the only good thing there, although they were a bit cold which led me to believe they were most likely pre-cooked and reheated. The place was clean and the people working there were very nice and polite. It's probably great for getting drinks after work. Went here for lunch today with my wife. She had been there previously for happy hour as it is close to her office, and enjoyed it. Got there shortly before a Duck game and there were many Duck fans. There was also a birthday party going on at many tables in the center of the bar. Conversations were loud, so someone at the bar turned up the sound on the TV's, which made people talk louder, so the TV's were turned up again. The noise level became unbearable, so we moved to the tables outside. Our server, Alicia was understanding and very sweet. She provided great service, and is the reason for the two stars. I will say my wife's burger was cooked just like she asked, however they forgot the avocado she asked for. Alicia brought it out and deducted it from the bill. My main gripe is that I ordered Eggs Benedict and Alicia told me they had no Canadian bacon, so my options were sausage or bacon. They serve a club sandwich, so shouldn't they have ham? I didn't bother debating, but asked for the bacon. When it arrived, I got half an English muffin with one overdone egg, bacon and hollandaise sauce. One egg and half an English muffin? It's called Eggs Benedict. Implying more than one egg. I have never ordered Eggs Benedict and been served one half an English muffin and one egg! Ever! Has anyone? Served with two greasy hash brown patties and charged $13. Not impressed. Alicia was great, but overall, disappointing. read more

We attempted to try this place for the 1st time after living in the neighborhood for 2 years. With all the restaurants closing in the area, we have been trying to support local businesses near us. Well, we shouldn't have even bothered. We walked in and took a booth rt near the door after looming in the doorway waiting for someone to greet us. A server walked by us 2x and said nothing so we assumed it was a seat yourself situation? We sat for a few minutes and I assumed the servers were just a little busy and we would see someone soon, so in an effort to help I went and grabbed us menus. The bartender (Kim?) also made eye contact with us. My boyfriend and I sat patiently waiting while checking out the drink list on the chalkboard over the bar. Both the server and bartender continuously glanced in our direction, but never came over once. My boyfriend and I work in the business. And I am a regional manager for a very successful chain of gaming bars here in the Portland metro area. We know service. Good and bad. And this was appalling! The bartender came and bussed the table right next to us, looked at us, but said not a single word. In our frustration and not wanting to pay for atrocious service, we decided to skip eating there and just have a quick drink and gamble. I was absolutely willing to just write it off as maybe they are having a bad shift? Maybe it was just so busy in there that they are catching up? I was giving the benefit of the doubt. But THEN, I approached the bar to get us a few beers so we could gamble a little before going elsewhere to eat and the bartender gave me a nasty look and said 'Yeessssssssss????' as if I was bothering her!!! So condescending. So rude. And the absolute antithesis of customer service. Idk who the owner of this establishment is, but I would look long and hard at these 2 employees and reconsider if they are making the best choices for your business. Neither of these employees would ever work for me as that behavior is absolutely inappropriate and is detrimental to any business. I would urge Kim to find a new line of work as she is clearly not competent enough to handle the Food and Beverage industry and appears to be VERY miserable in her position. 0/10 read more

Super great little place around the corner from me!! Very dog and Vegan friendly! So total no brainer for me! The owner and bartender are both quite accommodating! There isn't something specifically vegan on the menu, but they are crazy happy to modify anything to make it vegan! The tomatoes and avocados on my sandwich today looked right out of a magazine!! The interior is very clean and so are the bathrooms!!! The best part is the green space right next to it! My pup and I can throw the ball and I can enjoy some food!
