My son went sat in waiting room for over and hour to then be told that they would not be able to see him because he was seen by another dentist and they needed his dental records. Why in the world was this not informed to me when they were scheduling the appointment ???!!!!! Are these girls not trained when they are placed in a position where vital information should be related to a potential patient? Note: the dentist you book with on ZocDoc may not be the one you'll see on your appointment, so it'd be best to confirm if you're going for a specific dentist.

This experience turned into a nightmare. I have never been afraid of dentists as I have generally had good experiences. I take very good care of my teeth, but for some reason, I suddenly needed two filler replacements and two onlays. This is the most amount of work I have ever needed. While I thought this was crazy, I went ahead with the replacements, because I was moving in 6 weeks to yet another city and my office trusted this dentist. The dentist did some of the work and then let his assistants work on my teeth. When I left I experienced quite a bit of pain. They told me to come back in for some adjustments. I was told I would be seeing a dentist. When I got there, the dentist said hello and then the assistant worked on my teeth. Again, I left and had pain. I was at the dental office every other day for a month trying to get "the adjustments" fixed so I wouldn't have pain. I have never had to get "adjustments". In my experience, dentists have gotten their work right the first time. My last experience was my final onlay. Again after the onlay was put in I had to get adjustments done cause I couldn't chew without pain. The assistant working on my tooth didn't numb me. She drilled away hitting a nerve. I screamed in pain and tears rolling down my cheeks. I kept telling her it hurt. She said, "I know. I am sorry. I am almost done." It took nearly 3 months for the nerve pain to go away from that tooth. Another tooth continues to bother me. The dentist told me he drilled close to the nerve. He then told me, in 3 months if I still have pain I will need a root canal. Well it has been 5 months. I still can't chew on the right side of my mouth. Why the "F" do I need a root canal after seeing this dentist. I didn't need one before! I didn't even have problems with my teeth before going to this dental office. This dental office also had the audacity to bill me once more after I moved. After they told me I had everything settled. Two months after I moved, they told me my insurance wouldn't cover EVERYTHING. Awesome.. since when I was there they told me my insurance company would pay up to this and this amount. I paid the hefty remaining balance. In any case, I am now in another city... still in pain with no dental insurance and deathly afraid to see another dentist (I didn't have a fear of dentists before). I never want to experience this kind of pain again, both physically and financially.

Dr. Matlach was the most thorough dentist I have ever been to, and I have been to some amazing dentists. He explained what he was looking at and why he was looking at them. He also showed me some things I could fix cosmetically and assured me my teeth looked great and we only had to do it if I wanted. The hygienist, Genene, was so amazing and gave me a lot of tips on how to care for my teeth and what can affect them. This establishment is amazing and everyone working there was so kind and helpful. I trust him 100% and, even though I no longer live in Long Island, I continue to make the trek out to Roslyn in order to see him. He is a perfectionist. The crown he placed on one of my upper molars is so much more comfortable and lightweight than another one applied by a different denist. Dr. Perzov accepts my insurance, which is a major plus, and his staff is excellent about making sure I get my teeth cleaned every six months. Speaking of staff, his employees are THE sweetest people. The dentist was nice and explained everything to me in detail about payment, however he isnt the greatest when it comes to his professtional status to dential work being done. He was suppsoe to do one of my teeth the mold tooth all the way in the back. I have had problems eith the tooth and we were trying to save the tooth instead of taking it out. In the beginnging he did say he can save the tooth. However, when he started the procedure he felt that he wasnt able to save the topth, simply because i was telling him what to do. How to numb me, because he only numbed the central nerve, which wasnt numbing the tooth it was only numbing the surrounding area of the tooth. As, soon as he put the drill next to my tooth, i still felt the pain and refused the process, until he numbed not only the central nerve of the behind the tooth but also around it and on it. So instead he said i cant do it, because i telling him how to numb the area. For the last couple years, I only ever used Dr. Blades for routine cleanings, but my experiences were all super positive. The office was clean, wait times were never very long, the doctor and staff were both very polite/friendly, and parking was easy (I was able to pull-up right in front of the building). I was never pushed to accept unnecessary procedures, and Dr. Blades had very helpful dental advice. I also like how they used text messages to remind me of upcoming appointments. The only negative thing about this office was the doctor's name. Who wants to even think about "blades" when going to the dentist? I somehow doubt that Dr. Blades would be willing to change his name to "Dr. Brush" or "Dr. Smiles" though. The fact that he has been so successful with such a bad name is to his credit. With a name like "Blades" he has to be good!
