I stopped in the day before dropping it off to check how long it would take and was told a few days at most. I dropped it off on a Thursday and was told it might be done that day, probably by Friday, definitely by Saturday at the latest. They said they would call me to update me. No one called, and Saturday rolled around so I called and found it wasn't ready. We had a big party to attend the next day where everyone wanted to see the new ring and alas could not. We were both very disappointed I stopped in the following Tuesday and was told it would DEFINITELY be done by Thursday, someone would call me when it was ready. Thursday rolled around, and no one called. I called them and they said it would not be ready until Friday. This meant my fiance had to completely change her plans and drive an hour out of the way because it was late again. Thankfully, it actually was ready that day, but a week after we were originally told it would be ready, then again a day after we were guaranteed it would be ready again. The lady who I spoke with during the week was very apologetic and nice. I spoke with the owner once and he seemed clueless as to who I was and where my ring was, and did not seem to care. There is another lady who worked weekends who was not nice and very bossy with my fiance. It seems like no one really knows what is going on and I would not recommend this place to ANYONE. They charged us the full estimate despite all the F*** ups and getting the ring late. They did good work, however the overall experience was TERRIBLE and considering it was my fiance's new engagement ring, she was extremely disappointed, and rightfully so. GO ELSEWHERE.

So much so that she wanted them to work on a very old, special piece left to me by my grandmother. For Christmas, Mom took me to meet Suzie who worked with us to redesign my Arlene Francis style diamond heart. It had a cross in it that we wanted to replace with another heart. Suzie made recommendations and was very helpful. Tony worked with us every step of the way and, with an eye toward perfection, told us he didn't think one arrangement would look as good and showed us another idea that would look better. I also asked him to repair a custom charm I had since I was a baby. When he was done, both pieces were exquisite. Big Ben's has a beautiful showroom and they are really friendly and experienced. He said he could do it he gave me a price and I left a deposit of $650. On a follow up appointment we even gave Bill more jewelry that needed repair. After no follow up calls my wife went in December and demanded all our jewelry back and except for a wax mold nothing was done for 2 months. No jewelry was repaired it was as we dropped it off. Perhaps health issues has slowed Bill down but we were not satisfied with our encounter. We have asked for some of the deposit back with no reply.
