Visiting the area and locals recommended this place for a weekday lunch. Had very good service and our meal was tasty and delicious. We had sandwiches and burgers then finished up with 2 desserts to share. Beware that our table of 5 was automatically hit with gratuity added to the bill. My family and I chose this restaurant to celebrate my brothers, his wife's, our father's and mine birthday and our mother joined us. Our birthdays are close so we decided to celebrate a nice dinner all together. The service was good attentive and accurate with the orders. The interior was being renovated apparently adding a bar and other updates but it didn't really bother us as I'm sure it will look great soon. So hard to judge the ambiance other than casual and clean. The food was very very good. Ordered the fried calamari which in many places its chewy or not fresh tasting but here is was near perfectly crispy and not chewy at all. The marinara dipping sauce was quite good as well. The bread on the table was excellent would have like some olive oil for dipping though. Veal dilation appetizer was very good nice and cheesy too. Gnocchi bolognese, the sauce was near perfect and the gnocchi themselves were perfectly tender. The chicken franchise has a perfectly cooked fresh cutlet The chicken parm I asked for light sauce and it came out with my request fulfilled perfectly, the cutlet again was fresh and perfectly crisp and tender. And the perfect amount of cheese baked on top to be slightly crisp on certain spots The chicken Marsella was good but the sauce was the only thing lacking (actually the only thing lacking out of everything ! We also got a meatball parm sandwich to go which was excellent, great bread which was toasted (something many places forget but it's key) and the meatballs were outstanding ! Highly recommend this place and I only wish we had room to share a pizza to be able to review that. read more

Been there 2 times and will not bother again. First time ordered Beef stroganoff. Totally bland flavor. Meat was very tough. Noodles were not prepared correctly and stuck together in clumps. Second time ordered the Lasagne. Again, no flavor. Not sure how much of the lack of flavor was due to the weak sauce, which tasted like plain tomato sauce not Italian in any way. To say the experience was underwhelming is being kind. The fettuccini bolognaise was less than al dente and tasted like a can of manwich sauce was thrown on top . Extremely sweet and no real flavors , other than sugar, discernible. The side of meatballs were clearly frozen from a bag, as all were perfectly even , equally spongy and flavorless in a totally different colored sauce. Salads were exceptionally small and bread was scant with no dipping oil offered. No thousand island or Russian dressing . Cheese was in a shaker and nothing more than a cheap version of kraft. Even the Pepsi was flat. Additionally, the restaurant is under construction, so we understand that. However, the side entrance should at least be clean and dressed up with potted plants and a clean doo,r as the interim entrance through the pizzeria. Instead, you enter through a weed patch and dirty door with crumbled paper sign. Definitely gives you a feeling of back alley dive. This place has really taken a hard dive. Visited Vincenzo's for dinner for the first time. Despite having a reservation, we did have to wait quite a bit for a table. The interior is beautiful. Our server was nice, and our food came out quickly once ordered. Our meals came with bread and a side salad which were both okay. We dined there with our family. We left a 30% gratuity. When we saw our credit card they additionally charged an 18% gratuity on top of the 30% we already left. When we called the restaurant , the owner said she wasn't sure if the waitress would be willing to give it back? When nothing happened we called back and the owner then told us the waitress "just left on a 3 week vacation"?. Mom and Pop restaurant since 1973. Met the owner as she went table to table greeting and checking on everyone. Such class that you don't see very often. Ordered the Combo Francaise- Filet of flounder and shrimp dipped in egg batter and sautéed in lemon butter sauce over capellini ($26.99). It was one of the specials for the evening. VERY good! This BYOB place is pretty great overall- great atmosphere, friendly attentive staff for our party of ten. We came here with a reservation on a Saturday evening to celebrate my grandparents' 94th and 96th birthdays, and decided on Vincenzo's because they looked like a nice Italian place that was located somewhere in between our family's shorehouse and our grandparents' house. The bread basket was tasty, both the seeded and unseeded breads, and brought out with both butter and seasoned olive oil. The waitress did a pretty good job of keeping the water glasses full and refilling the bread upon request. Most meals came with a soup or salad- I went with the caesar, which I enjoyed, and everyone else enjoyed their soups and salads, with the exception of the minestrone being a little bit watery. I really enjoyed my gnocchi, but I thought the sauce was a little salty. My aunt enjoyed her fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli, and my sister and mother loved their eggplant dishes. My grandfather felt that the steak was not more than "ok" but my grandmother was very happy. The only downside is that if you bring your own cake, they do charge a $10-$20 cutting fee, depending on the size of your cake, which is pretty steep. I guess they really want you to buy theirs. Overall though, great experience and we'd probably meet up here in the future. read more

It's not the best Italian food I've ever had, and I definitely don't prefer their pizza over another restaurant in the area, but their minestrone soup is the best. We visited VINCENZO'S for lunch earlier today. The food was excellent and the portions were so generous that we asked for boxes to take home for another meal. It is also quiet and relaxing, and no one rushed us after we finished our meal and talked. We've been here before and we'll go again. One little quibble: Our two beverages, an unsweetened iced tea and a coffee served in a very small cup, came to about $8. A little steep, we thought. I'm sure they do refills if asked. The grandeur does not carry forward with the food. I don't know if they have separate menus for lunch and dinner but when I visited (pre-Covid) they had very limited vegetarian options and I had to settle for a portobello mushroom sandwich. The sandwich was adequate but the strawberry salad was atrocious. The food is what you would expect from a family owned Italian restaurant, the mussels veal parmigiana is always an excellent choice as is the Update 11/11/17 What a disappointment...!!!! We ordered 9 whole subs for a small party on Saturday and what was delivered we were more than a little disappointed with. All of the sandwiches including regulars, turkey, and vegetarian that were ordered we had to cut off all of the ends because there was nothing but bread inside!!! The fillings for all of them were very skimpy and to make matters worse they were not dressed with the the onion and tomato inside, these were served separately in large slices, not the thin slices that are normally served on sub sandwiches. I've never had antipasto come with tuna salad on it before. Also there were vegetarians in our group and the minestrone soup Was made with a chicken stock,So was there butternut squash soup! The seafood portions and we're good, exceptional was a scallop and shrimp in a white sauce over angel hair! The bread was great as was the dipping oil. The tomato sauce had no pieces of tomato in it and it was kind of just bland and not spiced. Desserts also we're hit or miss the cannoli was terrific as was the peanut butter pie. We did not realize they did not have any alcohol so I recommend BYOB if you want to drink, they didn't mind serving bottles of wine to people. I loved the waitress but she kept calling us guys do you guys want anything do you guys need anything else... She could've simply said would you like anything else, and would not of been insulting every time she spoke! read more

It's been a year since I last reviewed this restaurant. The last time we were here it was such a fiasco that we didn't return for a year. But I'm glad we did. Our waitress this time was outstanding. Pleasant and very accommodating. The last time our friend had a problem with the pork chop but I ordered it this time and it was delicious. My husband and our cousins enjoyed their food too. I also had the minestrone which I wish I had the recipe for, it was delicious. Other dinners were a specialty salad and a chicken dish and I believe a panini. No one had any complaints. I really thanked the waitress as she was so terrific and she will never know. That she is one of the reasons we will be going back. Next week we plan to go back and order the pizza. Good and Lousy This was the first time I ate at Vincenzo's, we recently moved back to NJ from North Carolina, I was so happy that Vincenzo's was less the 4 minutes from our house, the Women who took our order over the phone was very nice and was very warm, kind, and welcoming. So I ordered scallops over marinara with linguine. The pasta was very mushy and over cooked, the gravy was totally tasteless and the scallops did not taste fresh and were rubbery not unlike little hoocky pucks the bottom of the take out container had lots of milky water from the pasta, it took me less then 4 minutes to get from my house to the restaurant and the food was done at almost the time I arrived there so this proves that the pasta was not fresh and that it might have come out of a Microwave oven how dare they serve food like this paying customers it was disgraceful and very disappointing , scallops an marinara is my wife's go to dish when we eat Italian we both shooked of the poor quality of her dish believe it or not the same dish from North Carolina was 1000 times better. On the other side the Pizza at Vincenzo's was absolutely delicious the ingredients were fresh the crust was nice and thin and they did not skimp at all on the toppings (Sausage - Onions - Mushrooms - Garlic) I will not be going back for the pizza even though it was good. They do not deserve my business and I am planning to post signs at the Dog Park and inform all on Nextdoor of my experiences at Vincenzo's. read more

First time here and the food was delicious. Being a vegan it is usually difficult to find vegan options, I was so glad to see this place actually had options for me! I had spaghetti in garlic and oil, it was perfection! I've ordered this at other places and the garlic is normally burnt which ruins the entire meal. Not here, I finish my entire dinner.
