Last September I took my mother out for some lunch. I remember going to capri many years in Searstown Aka Shore mall. We ended up ordering a pie and a salad. Then to my shock the staff started to remove our chairs. Then they started hovering over us and took our pizza away. They brought it back in a box. I asked " are we being thrown out ? Don't come for the ambiance or fancy service or you will be disappointed. Come with an empty belly an loose clothes. The menu is your typical Italian fare with unbeatable prices! I never understood why some Italian restaurants we're so expensive. The prices here are ridiculously reasonable and it's BYOB. My family shared a cheese pizza, meatballs, calamari, and I had the homemade fettuccini with meat sauce. The calamari is lightly breaded in a spicy pepper sauce. Definitely something that I've never had before and it was the star of the meal. The meatballs we're also delicious. Everything else was good, but the meatballs and calamari we're exceptional. Well I am THRILLED I discovered this gem because the cheese pizza is some of the best I've had! The slices are smaller than your typical NJ / NY slice BUT the flavor from the sauce, cheese and the crust totally makes up for it! I even ordered 2 slices TO GO! Do NOT recommend this place. I would give it zero stars if I could. The owner, Rocco was so obnoxious and disrespectful to my mother! She has been very ill and recently home from the hospital but we were able to encourage her to go out to eat last night. Unfortunately, she couldn't eat and to make matters worse Rocco bullied her several times about not eating her meal!! My grilled chicken on my salad wasn't cooked thoroughly and my dad's "lasagna" looked like slop on a plate. For the prices there were no soups/salads and no Italian bread served despite the menu saying the meal came with it. I used to order pizza from here weekly but I don't think I will be anymore. It's not a bad thin crust pie but the last 4 or 5 times I ordered the cheese and toppings all slid off during delivery. Today I ordered a chicken Caesar salad and had to throw it away. The chicken smelled and tasted like it had gone bad and the lettuce was soggy and warm. Those were the only ingredients which is kind of lame on its own. read more

I'm honestly shocked at how completely irresponsible and outright stupid a restaurant and it's staff can be. No masks on any of the employees, including the people preparing your food. Keep that in mind if you're thinking of ordering from here. I'd expect this type of disregard from a restaurant down south, but for NJ? Most restaurants and businesses have adapted. Least you can and do and MUST do is wear masks as you are handling food and interacting with customers in a cramped environment. Go to literally any other pizza place. read more

Worst experience ever I was there on 12-28-18 I wanted two plain slice of pizza to go. I saw that there were 3 plain slices that were clearly old and dried out. They looked like the front of snow skies. I asked the young male worker for 2 fresh slices and he said ok. The worker then bought out a fresh pie. The younger female worker then got really mad at the young male worker and me stating "there all the same". She then threw the pie on the counter and reluctantly cut the pie. Capri Pizza has only improved since it moved from the mall. They added this prosciutto sandwich to their menu and it is absolutely amazing. They bake the bread and everything. I highly recommend that sandwich and also the Grandpa pizza. There's nothing better than a huge fresh slab of mozzarella cheese. The service is impeccable as well. read more

We got on line and did some researching when we found Capri (thank goodness) the service was very prompt and professional, food was served hot and the portions... just know when they say large they mean it. When the owner was coming around to see how our meal was, and heard that we were from out of town, he sat down for 10-15 minutes talking with us about the different things to do in town, where to go (and not go). This is the last time I will order from this place. First of all they use no PPE. No one is masked and they get belligerent if you say something but this time I ordered delivery. It took an hour and a half for the pizza to be delivered and it was ice cold plus they got my order wrong. We were so hungry by the time it got here that we just nuked it and ate it but of course it tasted terrible. If this was the first time this had happened I would chalk it up to bad luck but this was actually the THIRD time it happened. I know I know after the second time I should have found a different place to order from but I'm stubborn that way and keep hoping for a nice hot pizza but alas this seems to be the norm for them.
