Sweet people!. They take care in the preparation of their menu. This is the definition of a nice cozy neighborhood restaurant. Their predecessors just were here in this location for years. New owner bought about 5 years ago. You can see the care and things as simple as their Caesar salad. Incredibly well tossed, served at room temperature. Totally enjoy it. I ordered prime rib and I ordered it medium rare on GrubHub. It came well done. Prime rib that is well done is a travesty. So it taste like crap and I did not get any horse radish sauce. Additionally, they need to get a new chef. The amount of salt they use in everything is so much. In the one bite of prime rib that I took, the au jus tasted like I was drinking salt. Went for carryout. Mussels Fra Diavlo and Parm Crusted flounder. At pickup I was informed of NO ROLLS come with the Fra Diavlo when we always get them with Happy Hour. Come on... that's the best part of the mussels are soaking up the sauce. Parm Crusted flounder comes with two sides as told to me on the phone order. Never said it was an UPCHARGE for them depending on what side you order. The (new) girl who I spoke with on the phone never talked about an upcharge for ANY certain sides. Tried to blame ME for their failure to say. My bill went from $35 + tax ($14 mussels and $21 flounder) to a total of nearly $49 dollars. As a loyal customer since it was Fallston Seafood I couldn't believe how impersonal and uncaring they were. HOW PATHETIC! I will have a hard time going back. read more

Went to Vince's today for lunch. All I can say is EXCELLENT food and service. I had the BEST soft crab sandwich ever. The soft crab was crispy, plenty of mustard and I believe there were 2 soft crabs on the sandwich!!! Our table also got the crab pretzel for $5.00, the WED. special. Another great choice. Then came the DELICIOUS STEAMED CRABS. Perfect seasoning, plenty of mustard. BEST we've had all year !!!! Beer was COLD !!! In hindsight, the fact that the restaurant was almost empty and their was only one server at 12:30, should have been a sign of what was to come. This was the absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. The server was unpleasant and rarely checked in. I ordered the crab cake platter with the expectation of a jumbo lump crab cake, given the price. It was filled with filler meat and a random piece of lump meat here and there. When I tried to send it back, the server rudely responded that I had eaten half of it and tried to justify why it looked like pulled chicken or pork instead of a crab cake. I asked to speak to the manager and a very young woman came out. She had a similar attitude as the server. I said that I agreed to pay for half of it, but she did not think that was a fair idea. We had a great dinner on Friday night at the Fallston location. Our hostess was Maeve and she was very nice and seated us as soon as we arrived. She made sure we had what we need to start off before our waitress Taylor arrived. Taylor was AMAZING. We asked her what she recommended and she gave us several recommendations. We settled on the Friday night special which was a HUGE ( I'm not kidding) crabcake sandwich and it was enough for two people!!! It was DELICIOUS!! I also got calamari that was great. We were then informed they were out of the $9.11 crab cakes but we could buy a regular crab cake sandwich for $26. We ended up just leaving. My husband and I were driving home from our granddaughter's elementary school's wonderful Veterans' Day Assembly when Vince's Crab and Seafood House on Mountain Road in Fallston came into our vision. We decided to stop by for a steamed crab treat. To our surprise they had a very generous steamed crabs special for veterans. We ordered that and a pitcher of Heavy Seas Loose Cannon draft, a local brewed beer and one of our favorites. Our waiter, Luke was very informative, attentive, and friendly. Ask for Luke and you will be taken care of very well. The crabs were seasoned and steamed well and were delicious. The melted butter added to the excellent flavor. The beer was served in cold, frosted glasses. The food and experience were excellent. We had such a nice time without spending too much money. We are looking forward to going to Vince's Crab and Seafood House in Fallston to try their daily specials. read more

This place is terrible. The food is ok, definitely not great, but just okay if you stick to the basics. And at that it's extremely inconsistent. Their customer service is terrible. They constantly screw up the orders, which would be tolerable if they made any attempt to make it right. But instead their managers make excuses and are rude. Really rude. Like it's an annoyance to tell them one of their employees messed up the order and you would just like your side of broccoli please. Or that they gave you the wrong pizza and my kids won't eat pepperoni so please issue me a refund because I don't want to drive the 30 minute round trip to get the right one at 7pm on a Tuesday. But they insist you have to come there to get the $13 credit because they "can't do that over the phone." No thanks. Keep my $13. I won't be back. read more

I used to live near the Vince's Crab House in Middle River & we ordered from there all the time. When we moved up to Fallston and saw another Vince's close by we were so excited! Unfortunately the menu here is very different. We used to order the boneless honey old bay wings all the time - they are the BEST at the Middle River location. Sadly they don't have honey old bay or boneless wings here. We did carry-out and got the crab pretzel. It seems this location uses a different crab dip on top. Just wasn't the best. I then got the seafood quesadilla and it was the most sad looking quesadilla I've ever had. The top wasn't even connected to the bottom because it was not cheesy enough and barely melted together. There was a thin line of crab meat then some tiny, overcooked shrimp sprinkled around it. I will never order this again. I used to get this all the time from the Middle River location. We also got the coconut shrimp. These were quite good. It came with orange marmalade and I think a sweet Thai chili sauce. I am willing to go into the restaurant to try some entrees in person. This was our first time eating here. We had the cream of crab soup... the flavor was amazing and it was very thick. Just had the cup and only could eat half so I had room for dinner. It was very filling! Steam shrimp were great in flavor and size. Broiled crab cake is one of the best cakes! It truly was an 8oz Lump crab meat cake...delicious flavor. This restaurant is a half mile from us and we've been going there for years. When we travel to see family in New England we take about a dozen "raw" crab cakes. Yesterday I picked up 10 for $200. After I paid and was waiting for my order I noticed their Specials included a Crab Cake with fries and a drink for $17. I asked if I could get the special price. The response was "Sorry that is for the Crab Cake sandwich. Those are cooked". Mind you I'm getting exactly that portion of crab cake. So a raw crab cake that you don't have to cook, with out the fries you don't have to cook and the drink you don't have to put in a cup you don't have to buy, costs more than the "Special"? My parents ordered pizzas from here on Saturday and while the pizza was good, service was terrible. We ordered the pizza around 8. We were told 20-25 min, I drove to pick it up at 8:35, was told it would be a few minutes, at 9 PM I finally walked out the door with my pizza. While the place was empty and there were plenty of people working (probably due to their recent outbursts on social media) my food took forever. I've had friends and family rave about the size of the crabs at Vince's so we went for the first time today. Ordered a dozen medium and a dozen large. They look the same in the bags AND they aren't all that big to begin with. We drove a distance so didn't discover it until we were home. My husband spent years on the water on Solomon's Island crabbing for his grandfather's business and he told me the majority of these crabs were actually smalls. A 12" crab cake sub was $27.00 AND they added another $1.00 to cook it!!!!! Again, this was no big deal either and certainly not for the price of what is an entree with sides at other restaurants. Capt. Jim's in Middle River is a better value or even Schultz's in Essex. One and done Vince. read more

I was going to try this restaurant for the first time. I got a flyer in the mail with coupons for a free 16 inch cheese pizza with the purchase of one. I called the restaurant to place my order and the person that answered said that deal was for dine-in only. Well at the top of the coupon it clearly states dine-in or carryout only. I advised her of this and she told me she was going to check with the owner. She comes back on the line and says the fine print says one coupon per table and that means for dine-in only. Long story short they lost a potential repeat customer and never gave me the chance to be a first time customer due to not honoring what the coupon states. Now we wish they just bulldozed the place. $57 for a single pizza and three salads seemed pricey, but once again, we are in the country and choices are few. The pizza, honest to God was not even as good as the 7/11 pizza sitting under the warming light, the salad were adequate, but not worth the price. The staff seemed ambivalent. Hoping for a change to come again. People out here will pay top dollar for good food quick, and this only fits the top dollar part, nothing else. My last visit until something new appears there. What a sad disappointment... We discovered the wonderful Fallston Seafood Restaurant right before it switched hands to Vince's. We were assured that the quality-as well as many of the menu items-would remain the same. So, we were quite looking forward to returning for another great meal. We arrived for lunch about 11:30 and there was only one other couple in the restaurant but already the sweet (but untrained?) waitress seemed overwhelmed. It took quite awhile to get our drinks and our soup appetizers took even (way!) longer. I was shocked when she put my husband's cream of crab soup on the table as it shook like jelly. Really gross looking. My shrimp and tomato bisque was so awful I could not eat it. The shrimp were over cooked to the point of being rubbery and the bisque had a taste and consistency that I did not like at all. (bisque is a difficult and advanced soup to learn to do and maybe I am a bit of a bisque snob, but gloppy and gelatinous just doesn't cut it for me) My crab cake was a wet variety-which I don't mind-that had no jumbo lumps. It mostly consisted of what looked like special meat although it is possible that the maker just roughed up the crab so much that it broke down. The flavor was decent, but there are so many places around with much much better versions that this would never be enough to entice us back. The shrimp stuffed with crab imperial was another example of over cooked shrimp and the imperial had a hardened crust instead of being creamy and luscious. The French fries were a most interesting version-which I have not seen before-that were almost fried potato skins. We liked these. Finally, as far as the food goes, the cole slaw which was so wonderful when this place was Fallston's was mushy and bland. The ambiance was hideous. I am not a fan of loud music in a restaurant but Vince's had no music at all-just a depressing silence that could not keep me from having to listen to the man at the next table discussing his bloody urine and the tests his doctor put him through to find out if he has stones. (Is it a stereotype that older people seem to think it is appropriate to discuss their most intimate health issues when meeting friends for meals???? We encounter this often. My husband and I are no spring chickens and we have our share of aging problems but we would never think of going into gory personal stories when eating out) Service was painfully slow.
