Worst place ever!!! Don't go! My daughter went in for a simple fill and the woman tore up her nails so badly with the grinder on her skin! Her cuticles were so red and sore when she left and they didn't even trim the cuticles! It was from the grinder and her jabbing at my daughters nails with HER OWN NAILS!!! My daughter kept telling her it hurt and the mail tech didn't care! They never used any lotion on her hands and there was polish all along the sides of her nails on the skin as well! When I called the salon after I saw her nails and heard what happened they were so rude and played dumb like they had no idea who she was or what happened! The skin around her nails is so red and sore I am hoping she doesn't get an infection! Do yourself a favor and go some place else so this doesn't happen to you also! The gentlemen who did my nails was nice and asked me every step if I liked or disliked anything and I didn't say anything I just said everything was fine. He asked me if I wanted coffin shape and I responded, yes. This was one of the most terrible pedicures that I've received and I've been getting pedicures for over 20 years. The person doing the pedicure was very shaky and had no clue how to do a simple French manicure. It also took 2 hours. The manager would not listen when I told him that it was not good, he took a quick look and deemed it ok. He rang up my total and figured that I hadn't paid enough because gel was used and French tips. I stated that this seemed unfair and very greedy. This was the 2nd time that I've received poor service. Very poor management, he was more interested in who was coming in the door than the customer standing right in front of him. They are horrible.. I used to go to Jason there and he was the only one I would let do my nails.. He has left the shop and of course they won't tell u where he is.. The guy at the front told me he had someone who was good with designs.. Let's just say the nail tech was honest and said she was not good but would try.. I showed her a picture and she did try but my fill in is all on my skin and I will have to get them redone this week.. When I got ready to pay he guessed on the price by saying do u really like them. I said it's ok and he asked me are u sure.. I advised him it doesn't look like the picture but she told me she wasn't that good when u lied from the beginning.. 38 for the fill and he added 20 for the design when he first added 10. I will never go back because he changes prices as he feels and my nails will not last because the acrylic is on my skin and my nails will lift.. Beware u have been warned.. I do not recommend this business. As the the young lady was finishing my pedicure she messed up the paint on my large toe. She tried paint over it and made it worse. I asked her if she would fix it. She got an attitude and would not redo it. She started yanking my foot around. And told me to get someone else to do my nails. This place is absolutely terrible. When you walk in it's beautiful and you feel like you're going to receive luxury service since there on the pricier side. However, I don't mind paying when the quality meets the price. I've tried this place a couple of times over the last couple of months. The last time, which was about a little less than two weeks ago I wasn't happy with the service, but, as a business owner myself I know that sometimes things happen, and people have off days. I never asked for a discount I did explain to the gentleman at the front how I was not happy and he just kept saying I'm sorry. I came in Saturday and I was informed that they were very busy to come back Sunday. I asked if I could make an appointment on Sunday they said they do not make appointments. I came in Sunday and then I was informed that they can't do anything they're too busy And then made an appointment for today at 1 o'clock to have my toes done with white powder and a fill-in I get an hombre I normally spend about $200 every two weeks. I come in today and was informed that whoever they had an appointment with me, never showed up for work. Well, that's not something that can control. Things happened in peoples lives, then I proceeded to get the deluxe pedicure, which was not so deluxe as they did not clean under my nails clip around any of the skin. The gentleman that's up front came over as he knew that the young lady that was doing my pedicure. It was not doing it correctly. It was very sloppy the nails and not shake properly. Amongst many other things. I then told him that this is not acceptable to pay $122 it was $65 for the pedicure and $57 to put the powder on because I like white powder. Needless to say I'm going to post pictures and you will see what a terrible job. my right foot has powder and acrylic under the toe that I can't even breathe then it's so sick the powder on the right foot uneven. He told me to come back and he will fix it and I kept saying I don't feel I should pay the $122 unless it's fixed now but I will be more than happy to pay at least half and then I would pay the rest when I come back and it's fixed. He didn't want to hear that he was not interested in any of that. I asked him for his name, and he refused to give me his name. He basically was like I don't want to keep talking about this. He wanted me to be quiet and pretty much leave. I have never ever had a problem paying for a service ever. It is not even about the money at all, however, it is about receiving terrible service, which I most definitely received today. I am really disgusted and needless to say I paid the money and left and now I'm seeking another place to fix this mess. Oh yes, and I still don't even have my fill-in, so I just wasted almost 3 hours for nothing. Save yourself a trip. I don't even bother with this place. read more

This was probably the worst pedicure I have ever had. We had a 1015 am appointment and we got there early. We were out in less than 45 minutes. They rushed and were not very friendly. My polish was messy and smeared. They did not put on a top coat and the lady who was doing my friend's pedicure walked away to start helping someone else before she was finished with her. Plus they did not have all the options of the Greensboro Vinci and were more expensive. I will not return. read more

My experience at Queen Nail was nothing shy of a joke. I asked for my acrylic nails to be taken off and to receive a basic manicure. My nails were naturally very brittle from the acrylic, but the woman tending to me cut 4 different nails short enough to make me bleed (even when I told her she was hurting me and to be careful). Next, please see the attached photo for the AWFUL polish job I received. A child could have painted my nails better. Finally, the owners of Queen Nail are just plain rude. My husband and I moved from Greensboro last summer but hadn't found a new place for our bimonthly pedicures. Today we came here and it was GREAT! Everyone was so pleasant to deal with. Anna and Lily fussed over our feet and toes, paying attention to all the little details. One thing we did not like was finding out it was an extra $5 to sit at the dryer with our toes (after we used it). We've never been charged for that anywhere else. Well...I will never be going to this place again. I had a cracked nail and went to get it fixed. Mind you, the cracked nail looked healthy and was in no way infected prior to my visit to this nail salon. I woke up two days after with a swollen, throbbing finger that had such a limited range of motion that I decided to go back get the nail removed so I could go to the urgent care. As soon as the SNS was removed my nail was bloody and weeping. Even worse, the nail tech took the electric file she was using on me, without washing it, used it on another client, and again without washing it put it back on my broken nail. I went to the urgent care and was told I got an infection from the salon and would need to be on antibiotic for the next 10 days. The nail tech called me giggling, as if it were a joke, but later got serious as it dawned on her that I noticed she had not been using sanitary practices and even admitted that she was not cleaning her tools! The manager who contacted me was very cold, and a solution still has not been reached. My entire family has decided maybe nails and ESPECIALLY this nail salon isn't for us. read more

I have had two bad experiences with getting my nails done here, specifically with one lady. There is a husband and wife duo that works there. Don't EVER let her do your nails. She is rough with your hands, jerking them around and when she did my acrylic, she put it on my cuticles. When she went to file the acrylic down, it ripped off the skin at the base of all my fingers. When she put alcohol on it, all of them burned really bad. I expressed concern to her, as well as the other people there and they just ignored that she was hurting me. She rushed and did a poor job both times. This lady is petite with dark hair to her shoulders and bangs. I now understand why the previous owners of the salon didn't take her to the new location. I went for a pedicure last night. I have a huge family event, so this pedi was important. ( Open toe shoes) First, I was not greeted, I got a finger point to a kiosk and a grunt. By the owner! Then.... waited..no one said anything. Finally I was pointed to a chair...no thank you, please follow me...more grunts and hand gestures, again by the owner. A very nice woman approaches...i point out my broken toe bed( lost the nail about a week ago, toe next to big toe) ask for an acrylic nail on it so it will look normal. I think I'm told no, but she will make it look like the others with length. I trust her, I've stated what I need and am paying for... ( Full disclosure, when the salon was queen nails, I got to know a few of the staff, I work next door and we would chat coming in and out of work. Very nice people, they made my day some days, and if u work in service, you understand that, we also watched the new owners take over) At three more steps in the pedicure, I asked again for the correction on my toe. When it came time for polish, I stopped her and asked again...and I was told no, I did not understand the answer, but the message was clear. ( I've had acrylic nails, an easy fix for the toe, and there was enough to attach it too) It's very upsetting to need a service and not have it done. My pedicure looks like crap, it looks like a child did it. I have a glump of color on a half toe... I paid for nothing as now I will have to go to another salon and pay yet again to actually have feet I won't be embarrassed of in family photos years to come. Overall, over priced salon in any regard. Full story, I did not appreciate the way the new owners moved the store fronts, there is still trash behind the building that the new owners never cleaned up. I miss queen nails and the lovely crew that worked there. Save your money, and go somewhere else. Also, as a really shit move, if u use any card, they add on a charge to cover cc expensive, again work in retail, and was a former account manager, the charge is over inflated, so they make more money off you. I already had heard about this, so I had cash. I stood waiting for five minutes to cash out, a woman kept playing with her phone, her back to me...then walked away... without even saying anything. This place is not worth the money. I paid $90 for a gel manicure and pedicure, and both last an hour total, for both. My toes are shaped crooked, and just to make sure I wasn't tripping I've asked multiple of my friends and coworkers who frequently get their nails and toes done if I was being reasonable, and they agreed I was being reasonable. I asked for a light blue color and the color that was put on my toes was the opposite of what I picked. When I arrived at the nail salon I was given one pallet of nail selections, and had to pick from those options when the color I originally wanted wasn't even on it. Come to find out there were 3 more trays of selections that I wasn't even able to look at to choose from. The pedicure was okay scrubbing wise, but the nail tech was rough and I felt as if she was being intentional with how rough she was being with how hard she was digging into my cuticles. One side of both of my big toenails sits higher than the other, and I now am having to go elsewhere to have them shaped and painted better. As for my manicure, the paint is caked up at my cuticle, and I have a total of 4 hangnails from both hands that she did not cut out. My time here was rushed and unsatisfactory to say the least. I do not mind spending money on amazing service and am typically a big tipper, but this place is not worth it at all. I've been 3 times to this location and each time the shaping is absolutely terrible on my toes. This was my first time getting my nails done and the efforts for painting are terrible as well. I will say the staff is nice but I'm here for my nails, and all of the nail techs are not at the level to be equivalent to prices they are charging. On top of all that to have my time there be as short as an hour for both a GEL manicure AND pedicure and to pay that much money is absurd. This location seems to care about only getting your money versus getting your money and reciprocating it with a quality experience. Will not be back. read more

Obviously they are doing something right sometimes because this was the busiest salon I have ever seen. However, my experience was less than pleasant from start to finish. I did not call ahead so I have no complaints about the wait. My complaint begins when I sat down for a gel manicure. The chair had no cushioning left in it. It was hard and very uncomfortable. The gentleman who was going to do my manicure started to buff off a layer of polish in order to wrap them with foil. I don't like the practice of buffing first because inevitably they buff too hard and end up scraping my nail. Today was no exception. On top of that, he disregarded the two spots where I had torn my cuticle and roughly buffed those sore spots also. Finally he wrapped my nails. When just a few minutes had elapsed, he returned apparently determined to remove the polish. When it didn't come off with the blunt tool, he took out the cuticle scissors, opened them up and used the flat blade to scrape my nails. As you can imagine, he took layers of my nails with the polish. There were several places where he actually tore the nail. I was incredibly upset and told him I was no longer interested in having a pedicure nor did I want him to finish the manicure. He called someone else over. The new lady sits down, apologizes profusely, and asks me to give her a chance. Then she tells me he doesn't actually do nails, he was just trying to help. Are you SERIOUS? I won't detail the rest of my visit, but here are a few highlights - my hands were "soaked" (maximum of 1-2 minutes) in plain room temperature water, no cuticle oil or lotion was applied, cuticles were barely touched, polish came out dull, which I didn't even know was possible, shaping is mediocre at best, polish residue was left under my nails and on the side of my nails, so I have a chunk on the side of two nails that I will have to fix. I know there were likely other issues, but I paid $23 to be incredibly disappointed. I'm guessing I caught them on a bad day, or ended up with a bad tech, but I'll never be back. If for no other reason than the fact that the guy who doesn't do nails was doing acrylics when I left. read more

I went to Queen Nails for the first time today, and I will never go back to my previous nail salon again. I had been going to a place slightly closer to my home, but after a so-so experience there, I decided to try this place, and I'm glad I did. Although it was fairly busy on the Friday morning when I showed up without an appointment, I was greeted right away and ushered back to a pedicure chair very quickly. Here are the things I liked, especially as compared to my previous salon: there was a large selection of polish colors, and a lot more of OPI (my preferred brand). The place was very clean and attractively decorated, making it feel like more of a luxury experience, although the prices were comparable. I was offered a complimentary beverage--not necessary, but a very nice touch. The massage chair was nicer than those I've seen in other salons. There were four levels of pedicure, and I was offered a menu showing the prices of each and what each included. (I've been to other places where the staff just asked me what kind of pedicure I wanted, and I was too shy to ask for details of each). The pedicure itself was great: leg and foot scrub and massage, paraffin--totally relaxing. My nails look great, too, which is obviously important. I was a little bummed that the polish seemed kind of thick, but I chose a bottle that was nearly empty, so I should have known that was a risk. I also got an eyebrow wax that was quicker, less painful, and better looking than waxes I've gotten elsewhere. Everyone was very polite, and the owner, realizing that it was my first visit, checked in to make sure I was satisfied with the services I received. I assured her I was. First, I have to say that I do not enjoy getting my nails done. I never have. I don't go to the nail salon to feel pampered or to relax. I like to get in and get out with a great manicure. With that said, I have been getting my nails done here for two years. The staff is very friendly, and the salon is clean and comfortable. Let's just put it this way, for this being my first time getting my nails done in over 4 years, I am pretty disappointed in the way things turned out. My friend, my mother and I decided to come to Queen Nails to get our nails done. Yes, they were a little busy.. However, I don't find that to be an excuse for it. A first impression to me is very important and will determine whether I return or not. I'm not saying exactly that I would never return but I would most definitely not come back without making an appointment. It was around 6PM when we walked in. We were welcomed and told to pick out our color. We picked out what we wanted and sat down. My friend and my mom were seated almost immediately. Because of how long it's been since I've gotten my nails done, I sat there patiently and waited. It wasn't until maybe 10-15 minutes later that I was called to a seat by whom I'm assuming was the owner. I went and sat down at her station. She asked me how long I wanted my nails and what shape I wanted them in and began working on my nails. No longer than 3 minutes in, she answered a phone call (I thought that was pretty unprofessional)! I felt like she was definitely rushing with me to get me done with. My cuticles were cut a little too short, I'm surprised they weren't bleeding with how sore they felt. I had acrylic under my nail and on multiple fingers. However, I didn't think she was done with me so I didn't say anything. She told me to go wash my hands and I did. Let me just say this, she finished the acrylic BEFORE my friend got done with the same procedure and she was seated a while before me. At this point, I knew I was being rushed. I came to sit back down only to see my purse moved to a new chair. The lady explained to me that she had an appointment so someone else would have to finish my nails. I let it go and sat down next to my friend and waited. Because of how long it had been since we looked at the colors, we forgot the number for the gel nail polish. My friend asks to see the swatches they had so we could be positive of the number and gets ignored. Thankfully, the right ones were brought out. At this point, my mother, who only got a manicure, is sitting under the nail dryer already done. After her nails are done, she reminds the lady who worked on her nails that she wanted to get her eyebrows waxed. It is very clear that she had forgotten that she wanted to get them done BUT makes room in her schedule to go do that right after it was mentioned. Bravo to the lady who worked on her, she was actually satisfied with her experience. After a couple minutes, someone comes over to me and puts the paint on my nails. I thought they were going to fix the fact that I had acrylic on my nail and under it, but nope. After the paint gets added to my nails, I decide they don't look horrible - which is one of the only reasons I would go back. My friend and I were slightly disappointed that there were a couple bubbles in the paint, but on my nails they weren't so noticeable. We were under the assumption that to have gel is only about $5 more than regular paint. Boy were we wrong, it was $12 more so I am really hoping they will last longer than regular nail polish. The price is good for the service, but if it's a busy day and you plan aren't on getting SNS, run. Acrylics and a regular manicure are put on the back burners and tend to be a last thought as far as customer service goes. As soon as you stand up to leave they usher you back to your seat in an effort to make you wait it out and spend some dollars. If you're in a rush, good, they're always in a rush anyway. More often than not it results in shotty work regardless of how often you frequent the salon and your loyalty as a customer. They are usually pretty agressive and made me believe getting my nails done SHOULD hurt, which it absolutely should not. If they're busy, it's probably best to go elsewhere, if not this place isn't too shabby. read more
