We've taken our kids to Sherri's All-Star Haircuts several times. Appointments are always good but usually we just walk in and they work then in without a problem. I've gotten my hair cut here the past 2 times and have been really happy with the stylist. The first visit was a trim of my usual haircut, nothing special. This past time I went all out with a completely new style. I told her what I wanted, showed her a few pics I'd found, and Sherry Ray started cutting. Since it was such a drastic change she held back a little which I appreciated. After convincing her that I wanted to go for it she gave me what I wanted and nailed it. I was really pleased that she pulled it off because you never know what someone you don't have much experience with can do. I'll be going back for my trims from now on. read more

Let's start out that I am reluctant to leave a review because Sherry, the owner has always been stylist that I go to and she is phenomenal! However, she is currently unavailable due to medical issues and I went to the other Sherri hoping that since they work together that there would be some consistency. I am very no I am highly dissatisfied and unhappy. The haircut I just got was done with a straight razor versus cheers I do not allow. to be used on my hair, however, before I could even notice what was happening, the cat had begun and was very rapid and completed before I could say much. coming from a long line of stylus and cutters I know what I'm looking for and I have high expectations and these were not met. I also realize that you cannot clean up a razor cut very quickly and easily. It has to grow out before it could be done correctly so now I'm dealing with a crappy head of hair for the next two or three weeks. I was very explicit of the type of haircut that I wanted what I expected and that she needed to read the notes that were in the system which she did but she neglected to follow through in cutting with scissors versus a razor totally unacceptable. unfortunately since I don't know if the owner will be back, I am now forced to go look for a new stylist. My recommendation is to anyone who has very specific requirements, make sure that you communicate and ensure before it even starts, check to see what is in their hand. read more

I was looking for a really good haircut. Trepidatious that I would be disappointed or that I would have to wait till it grew out to cover up a miscalculation. As a result of uncertainty about where I might find this in a new location, I had put off choosing a stylist until I couldn't wait any longer. I wasn't searching for a fun party with the styling of my hair as the theme for a broader "experience." Just a top-skilled job, with not a lot of leeway for "almost" in a first try at the place I would pick. And certainly I dreaded the prospect of my head being the centerpiece of someone's art project, like those I saw advertised in most of the promo-photos online -- though I do realize that the sort of high quality I was hoping to find might not grab your typical prospective client's attention if you took a picture of it. I found what I was looking for here. Sherri gave me in every sense the finest haircut I have gotten in years. And I had been used to very good quality over a couple of decades in Philadelphia. The one I got here is better. The reason you want a careful job with an all-scissor cut is to avoid the sight of clumps where hair was chopped off, or the appearance of having been attacked by a sheep-shearing machine. And you hope for good judgment in the proportions of hair that remains on the top and sides. Also an aesthetic sense about the balance and composition of the shorter version of wayward hair that has grown chaotic. Maybe a whole new start. Honest excellence is really quite rare in many of the services and skills we seek. You should cherish it when you find it. I have been getting my hair cut at Sherri's since 2008 when I moved to GSO. I've never gone anywhere else. Sherri is the best and she always hires fantastic stylists. I've never had a bad cut. If you want a real barber she has one stylist who trained at barber school. Hot towel, straight razor, hot foam, need I say more? Sherri always calls me and my children by name, and she remembers small things about our family and interests. She is more like a family friend. Go try it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

I've been coming here for haircuts now for over 2 years now. It used to be called Big League haircuts, but Sherri the manager apparently bought the place and put her name over the door. They beat SportsClips to the line on the concept. A cut, shampoo, and shoulder massage for $15 bucks. Andrea and Ronni usually cut my hair and have always done an awesome job. I would go there just to get my hair washed! It's a nice change from the normal barber shop setting and you've got the choice of conversation, TV or both. Not a bad haircut. It's a good shop but seems to be more focused for kids. Small tube TVs at each station. I was too nervous watching the hairstylists every move to bother with TV. Haircut turned out good so I guess I shouldn't complain. Cost $16 for a men's cut no wash. read more
