But they've always been sure to ask if I'm in pain, and apologize if they've nicked even without me saying or flinching. I have very thin and weak nails and they're always kind when I ask them to be light with the dremel tool. Most, if not all, employees speak English extremely well and are very light on their native language between each other so I can join in on conversations and have a good time, especially when they joke with eachother. When I asked them to remove the remaining nails, they tried to charge me an additional fee, which felt unfair given the situation. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this place due to the lack of accountability and unprofessional customer service.

First they had to remove my previous manicure from my nails, which took a while but I did not mind because I'm trying to keep my nails healthy. My cuticles grow fairly fast, so they also needed to be trimmed, and during this, my manicurist nicked my cuticles on numerous fingers- causing them to bleed. The manicurist was aware of it and apologized throughout the appointment. The manicure also wasn't the cleanest job I've had either. She was still very apologetic for my cuticles, and gave me a coupon for my next visit to make it right, acknowledging that this is not a normal experience. I have one difficult, thick nail that some places refuse to cut. They did not mention it here at all on both occasions that I went, they just cut it. On this occasion, I asked the male manicurist not to cut the cuticles, but to just push them back.. He did not listen to me and continued to cut the cuticles. He drew blood three times on my toes. Since I am on blood thinners, the bleeding did not stop immediately, but took swiping and cleaning several times. I did not carry on or repeat my requirements, but I do have autoimmune diseases, and I am hyper vigilant about not wanting to get infections. Also, on the manicure, there was no rubbing lotion or anything on my hands or arms, all he really did was put the polish on. I asked that he did not cut my nails, as I had already done that, and he did follow my request of not cutting the cuticles. I like this salon because there is not a heavy odor of acrylics and polish. They do use good-quality and sanitary products. I will continue to go to the salon, and make my requirements more thorough, and insist that "no cutting the cuticles" be adhered to.
