I was SOOOO sad to hear that this place closed down a few years ago. I stumbled upon this place as the vegan food scene in the West coast of Florida was still in its infancy. However, this restaurant was quite the oasis in the 'vegan food desert'. There was a decent variety of entree options on the menu, the sitting area felt like a classic fast food chain so it felt special as a vegan spot, and the store merch was great! It was the vegan Buccee's I didn't know we needed - way ahead of it's time. I came back later to find it had become a Slutty Vegan location - whose food was still not a disappointment. It's still great! They recently hosted a Slutty Vegan Atlanta residency during the month of August 2024. I love it when vegan restaurants support each other like that. How great would it be to actually have a Slutty Vegan restaurant in the Tampa Bay area? I'm hoping it was successful enough to consider this possibility. I kind of wish I had tried it earlier in the month. I ended up going back a second time with a friend. It was 2 back to back visits for me. That Dancehall Queen Burger was bursting with flavor. I could taste the grill flavor from the Beyond Burger as well as every tasty topping. The sweet jerk plantains are the star of this burger. The jerk seasoning on the plantains gave it such a nice kick of heat. The special sauce and added dill pickles (per my request) gave it a lot of zest. As I've already stated, I went back for that same burger the very next day. The fries were also delicious & crispy. The sweet potato pie from First Batch Artisan Foods just brought everything to the next level for me. So sweet & delicious! My friend talked about getting the Fussy Hussy, but I think she ended up with the One Night Stand. She absolutely loved it. We thought about saving our pies for later, but ended up eating all of it while we were there. The great part is that I didn't feel overly full. Just totally satisfied. Thank you Vine Vegan for introducing us to Slutty Vegan. I hope there will be some sort of collaboration again soon. Vine Vegan is a gem! Everything I ordered was delicious. I entered and was greeted when I approached the front counter. She was assisting another customer and told me she would be with me shortly. I ordered the Thursday special queserrito, a side of sweet potato fries, strawberry cupcake and a soda that was very light. I enjoyed every bite. Everything was hot flavorful and delicious. My partner has decided to go vegan for blood sugar and health reasons and has wanted to try this restaurant for a few weeks. I wasn't particularly hungry and it was dinner time. After looking at the menu on-line, I was willing to give it a try. We arrived to make our way to the counter to order. I already knew what I wanted, the picadillo empanada and a side salad. My partner, in true form, had a boatload of questions about the menu. "Would you choose this or that," or "what about this?" The patient girl at the counter answered all of his questions and he decided on the Caribbean Bowl. The place wasn't packed, which I loved, but did a great take out business! The place had a calm about it, and that I loved! We didn't wait any longer if we were in any other restaurant for our meal. I was impressed with vibe and presentation of our meals. Of course I asked for more avocado lime crema for my empanada. My first bite into my empanada was crunchy and perfect with the crema. I could drink this sauce!! My first impression of my side salad was there were too many green olives. I felt it took over the flavor of this wonderful salad and dressing. I love chickpeas, but they take on whatever flavor you give it. And it was the green olives. I do love green olives, but thought it was too much. My empanada was golden and in that avocado lime crema, it was in heaven. I tried my partners Caribbean bowl. I wished I was more hungry as that was a delight. He didn't care for the same dressing, but his taste buds don't count. He dislikes just about everything. So, thumbs up on a great bowl as he enjoyed it without the dressing. BTW, I used it!! I will be back with him when I'm more hungry. The plates coming out of the kitchen to the seated guests looked amazing! I was so excited to finally check this place out over the weekend, and the Lil' Breakfast Sammie that I got (with a side of tots, obviously) was savory and flavorful, with Just Egg and vegan sausage and cheese. And you can enjoy breakfast for dinner here because they offer breakfast all day in addition to the rest of their tasty menu. The restaurant was cute as can be, with inviting decor and a fun photo wall with their "Don't kill my vibe" neon sign. The staff was friendly and helpful, and everyone in my party loved their food. My sisters even took vegan Cuban sandwiches home for their husbands (who are not vegan or vegetarian), and each was very impressed with the flavor. I loved this place so much I came back two days in a row. And the second day I bought some really cute merch. I had this on my list of vegan places to visit when I got to Tampa. My group decided they want to go to the Orlando outlets at 7am and I was not for it so I decided to book a massage and have lunch. Who knew the massage spot was doors down from Vine?! It worked out diVINEly. It was a great day to say the least. The first day I got the Caesar salad and the cheeseburger bowl (can't remember the name) and a smoothie. The second visit I got the Caesar with chicken and the patty melt (I don't think that's the right name either lol). Everything was delicious. The Caesar dressing was so flavorful. Just passing through... looked on Yelp and found this little gem. The decor is earthy with faux green vines. Plenty of seating, even a chill room to just hang out and relax. There is no table service, you order at the counter and they give you a number for your table. The daughter of the owner, Angelina, was very friendly and help us to make our food selections. We ordered the Impossible Smash Patty Melt $13 and the Sepa Salad $13.50. Both meals were made to order by the chef/owner Danielle Stevens. All Vine's recipes are created by Danielle. We had ordered the salad with the dressing on the side and it was served with the dressing on the salad. They said it would take 5 minutes to remake the salad. We had to eat at separate times since one meal was hot and the salad cold. Oh well, these things can happen. We will make Vine Vegan a regular stop whenever we are in the East Tampa area. read more

I drove from Orlando and met up with friends in the Tampa area at this recommended restaurant - Vine Vegan. I ordered the Impossible Smash Patty Melt. Wow! That was delicious. It tasted like a patty melt made with hamburger. It was so flavorful, juicy, and cheesy. It came with their homemade chips, which was good, too, but probably needed some sort of dipping sauce. I was at first disappointed that it was a counter service restaurant since I hadn't seen my friends in a very long time. However, as it turned out, we were there for over two hours talking and catching up, so I would have felt guilty taking up a table from a server for that long. But it did take an incredibly long time for our food to come out (30 minutes?) and we couldn't get our iced teas until they were brought with our meals. Weird. So we were there for 30 minutes with no drinks. Anyway, it's a cozy atmosphere inside with seating areas besides the tables. And my meal was outstanding. Glad I found this place! We are vegan at home but it can be difficult to get vegan options out at most restaurants. The yucca fries are so delicious. The superhuman bowl is a bit pricey for what you get, and could use more flavor but also good. Service is quick, you order and pay at counter and food comes out to you. Forgot to post this, I normally do but this months are stressful for me. I been choosing something different every time i get out of my physical therapy sessions for my arm. I came here on Jone 15th. But the food quality isn't. i went for the impossible mash patty. Nice impossible patty type. I have eaten so many different types that i can taste the difference between these n beef. Would i give up beef? Never !! Lol I'm omnivore and won't stop eating flesh. But i like supporting vegans and alternative food businesses. Place was clean and there was another party there. Also exploring the place. I think if u avoid the fridge by the front and stick to whats on the menu? The price is ok. I walked out with $26.75 cuz the tiny pie was blessed by a rabbi from the far away lands. $7 for a tiny slice lol the soda was $3.25 a but over for my taste. They where both good. But the pie hurt me most. $7 bucks in cheese cake factory would've gotten me a bigger one. The sandwich was good, tasty just like most vegan beef patties. I upgraded to fries. They were nice n crispy. I think they are still upgrading or moving into the lot. I saw some folks working inside. Before u go get a table. This was my first time coming here i was torn between getting the cubano and the smash patty melt, but thankfully they offer a combo option called the Sandwhich Lover's Special for people like me who want to try both (i.e half cubano and half impossible smash patty melt). I really liked the impossible smash patty melt much better since it tasted like real burger to me. I also like the butter sourdough bread they used for this since it makes it more interesting than if they just used regular hamburger buns. Vegan cubano is a great substitute if you're truly vegan or just temporarily choosing healthier option and avoiding meat. But I would not recommend this if you know what a real cuban sandwhich tastes like because you can't help but compare, it's not bad at all, just not nearly as good as the real thing. We got 3 different sides and by far the best tasting was the Yuca fries, comes drizzled with some oil and herbs, they are delicious, crutchy and hot. Get the yuca fries over the Tator tots or the Mac and cheese. Food was ready and came out hot and fresh in 10 minutes. Inside is spacious and clean, there were plenty of open tables, we had no problem finding a table on sunday afternoon for lunch. I've been eyeing this place since they opened up! I thought it was a restaurant but it's more of a sit down coffee shop place (like a Starbucks or crispers where you order your food at the register and then sit down). They have different coffees, free wifi, and a cute corner of furniture where you can bring your laptop and do some work while chilling on a vegan drink. My husband ordered the Cuban sandwich and I ordered the meatloaf. The Cuban sandwich was delicious. Honestly, if you didn't tell me it was vegan, I wouldn't of known. Chips were delicious and fresh as well. My husband liked it and didn't have any complaints. I ordered the meatloaf which came with a side of mashed potatoes & gravy as well as a side of green beans. I also ordered a strawberry drink to wash it down. My food was good. I seriously have no complaints. I stumbled upon this amazing vegan restaurant and it was a great experience, in more ways than one! First of all the food is delicious and scrumptious! I got the breakfast sandwich and french fries (the crinkle cut which are my fav!). I was able to sub a GF bun (they had english muffin so I'll try that next time!). I also got the cuban bowl for later! I did have that for dinner and it was great as well! Yummy flavours and the beans were 10/10, next time I'll get a separate side of those! There were so many choices on the menu I can't wait to go back. I am also GF so some of the items are either made with seitan or breaded so I can't have those but I'm used to that. There was some confusion as to whether one of the bowls was indeed GF or not so I picked one I knew didn't have any gluten. I also love that there are milkshakes too, I'll get one of those next time too! I think I'll have to go back several more times!!!! The atmosphere was delightful too! Charming, spacious and trendy with an Insta wall where you can take a pic! Tables and booths were plentiful and a little couch chair set up as well. The restrooms were tidy and clean and that's very important! The vibe is laid back, calming and infectious! Here's the other reason this restaurant is so amazing! I was there at 12:48 (the time on my receipt) and it was BUSY! That's great! There's a strong delivery component so orders were coming in from every direction! People were there to pick up mobile orders as well. "The natives were getting restless"...meaning some customers were complaining about the wait time. That's why I love the picture at the register "We're not fast food we're fresh food. Wait times may vary thank you for your patience" That says it all! Healthy eating isn't always quick and easy and coming to a vegan restaurant one should know this already. I've lived a life of eating this way and it takes time for preparation and that must come with patience. So, back to the natives...one customer in particular started complaining very aggressive and loud. The front staff explained there was a delay and apologized, continuing to ask for patience. She stated she had been here for an hour...here's my favourite part...it was 1:08. I looked because this was the woman in front of me ordering for 3, a mom, dad and little girl. I thought to myself "I've been here for an hour?" Well, remember the time on my receipt? 12:48 to 1:08 is only 20 minutes. Something wasn't mathing She was relentless in her complaining and I thought to myself "what does she think they're doing back in the kitchen? Eating bon bons and watching TV" They're doing their best and it's super duper busy!" Then a member of the staff came out from the kitchen and made a announcement for everyone to hear that they were working as fast as they could and there was just a bit of a back up and she asked for extra patience. The afore mentioned "restless native" basically said she was tired of waiting and why wasn't the food ready and repeated she'd been waiting for an hour and so on and so forth. The staff person was very patient and apologized and said her order would be out as soon as possible. I was very impressed with everyone's patience with this particular situation. Rhetorical thing is...th grumpy Gus grumps of the world are just that...grumpy! Often times they just want everything to be about them, not willing to take certain circumstances into consideration! Fast forward to after I got my meal and was salivating at its deliciousness as I was eating, I decided to go to the staff and tell them what I thought of my experience. The one unruly customer had since left so I felt comfortable talking with them. Ana was the staff member I spoke to and she was so kind in explaining to me that there was new staff and it was a busy Saturday and they were really doing their best. I explained to her that the rude woman had not actually been waiting that long. She explained the restaurant is family owned and the owner is there 5 days a week and cooks herself and is a big part of the customer service. I shared it was definitely delicious food and so worth the wait! I told her of my plans to write this review and she said it would mean so much to the owner. I want her to know that it really was a GREAT experience despite the wait time and I will tell everyone I know all about you and your FABULOUS food! It's hard to find Vegan and GF food that's full of flavour and not just vegetables and rice! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience! This place is incredible! If this place was named Vine Cafe you wouldn't know everything is vegan. I'm not a true vegan, I lean towards being more of a pescatarian, but I could easily do this place numerous times a week. Decadent sweets, gourmet coffees, large portion salads, excellent sandwich choices, diverse menu choices. They have daily specials and a rewards system that is generous. My personal favorite is the Cuban sandwich, french fries, (garlic aioli is ridiculously good) and a cupcake! Coffee is top shelf & I added the T-Rex option, my only regret was I didn't order a larger size! The service is friendly, helpful, willing to make recommendations on any custom requests. The owner is super nice and has a fabulous memory. My daughter is a regular order on-line customer and the staff recognizes her, the vibe gives me the positive family & friend feeling. The restaurant is so cute, each table is spaced out to allow intimate dining, but can accommodate large parties. If you want to sit at high top tables, they have a few. The windows in the restaurant have a tint so you can look out, but people aren't looking at you while eating. They have a separate room that is ideal for a small company focus group or presentations. Parking is never an issue, plenty of spaces. Love everything about this restaurant and want it to be successful, because it's such an amazing restaurant. We've been mourning the loss of Brandon Vegan Deli ever since they closed their doors last year. We totally didn't know about this place until I was looking at another review for a new Nepali restaurant in "That's So Tampa". Up pops this place, literally right around the corner from where we live! I knocked off one star because they still haven't figured out how to process online orders in a timely manner from the Toast app. I won't dwell on it, but my advice is to call in if you want a to go order. One of my faves from BVD was their Cubano, so I thought I'd get one as an apples to apples comparison. It was actually better than BVD and I used to love theirs. Bonus, Vine Vegan has a deep fryer, so I added a side to my order. That is a lot of food, so I kept a half for lunch the next day. It would be great to split with someone as the fries were plentiful too. My wife ordered pancakes with a side of tofu scramble. Yay! A place that serves breakfast all day. She loved her food too and we both enjoy breakfast food for dinner. Finally the ambience of the place is a huge upgrade from BVD. Much more vibey of a feel and lots of space. Let me start this off by saying I'm a card carrying carnivore. Who married a vegetarian. So I was skeptical, but offered it up for date night. I had the impossible patty melt with maduros and she had the Cubano with sweet potato fries. And I will say if I didn't know the patty melt was vegan I probably wouldn't have been able to tell. Seriously. The "cheeze" melted like American and the patties (I got the extra for $3 on suggestions from other yelpers), kinda reminded me of White Castle burgers with the onions grilled in. I typically don't come to Brandon very often but today I came to fulfill a task and I was divinely guided to Vine Vegan. This restaurant is freshly new and with that being said the decor and ambiance was very nice. Green velvet couch with plants all around. Very large space. You order first and then they bring you the food. The gentleman that helped me was so kind and helpful and patient (being that I had no idea what I wanted in the moment) So many vegan treats, goodies and options. Beautiful energy felt from the kitchen and all the staff. I am not a vegan however do enjoy vegan clean eating from time to time. Mainly because the energy is so sacred and filled with light. I do care what goes into my body and try to find a balance with the ALL that life has to offer. I walk in and Elton John is playing, that's a star. Customer service was amazing! Another star. My oat milk latte was better than nearby coffee chains, another star. The vibe and atmosphere was super cute and clean, that definitely deserves a star. And last but not least, to give this place a final star, totaling to 5, my vegan breakfast sandwich was out of this world. I'm not vegan but I have got to say this was better than animal products and I felt amazing afterwards. I wish I could give more stars for their Cuban toast, never had I ever had Cuban toast I actually loved! So delicious. I don't know how they do it but keep it up and I will be back. read more

This was just ok, it just tastes like expensive fast food. We had several things and only the burger was good. The "chicken" teriyaki tasted frozen. The smoothies tasted cheap and too sweet. I guess I was expecting more of a fresh and healthy spin on the food. read more

My mom is vegan, and I'm willing to try most anything. After hearing about this place for a bit, we decided to check it out for lunch today. If you used to frequent the Rolling Pin store, you will not recognize it. It's cute, with cafe tables, a little lounge area with comfy chairs, and lots of green and vines. The menu has a good selection, serving breakfast all day. They have smoothies and juices, and there are sweets available from other vegan establishments (such as WeVegan). My mom ordered the Sandwich Lovers Special, which is half of the Cubano sandwich and half of a patty melt, served with house-made chips (you can also sub fries or tots for a small charge). I got the breakfast burrito with sausage and tots on the side. Everything was piping hot and delicious. The portions were good for the price. My burrito was very large and I had a tough time finishing it. It was crammed full of tofu scramble, vegan cheese, "sausage," and hash browns. I tried a small bit of the mojo pork from the Cubano and I wouldn't have been able to tell you that it wasn't the real deal. Stopped here again while in town and it was delicious as the last time! Lady working the counter gave the recommendation of the buffalo wrap, which was very good. My husband got the American wrap again. Our son had the mac n cheese. We all have French fries. Love the sauce they serve with them. I'm pretty sure we paid $11 for a small bowl of mac n cheese that was supposed to be a kids meal. There was also a side of Mac n cheese on the menu that was much less. Not sure what else we got for the extra charge. It was okay, not very saucy. read more
