I was surprised to find that the 6-inch plain ham-and-cheese sandwich was the same price as the Cuban sandwich--$9. In my opinion, $9 for a basic 6-inch ham-and-cheese sandwich is quite expensive. When I asked about the pricing and tried to get some clarification, I felt that the staff was not willing to help. Their attitude made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Because of the way the situation was handled, I ultimately decided to return everything and leave. I understand that restaurants set their own prices, but I believe customers should be treated respectfully and given a reasonable explanation when they have questions or concerns. I'm Not saying that I was mistreated but i didn't get a reasonable explanation they way they explained to me was like the bread is $2.50 the cheese is $2.50 and the ham is $2.50 it just doesn't make sense a Cuban has pork cheese ham salami lettuce tomato pickles it just doesn't make sense. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable returning.

She then motioned for my chicken salad container, saying she needed it. I placed it on the scale and set my other items on the counter. The cashier then asked, "Are you okay?" I simply shook my head because, honestly, I wasn't. Instead of recognizing why I was frustrated, she continued talking, making comments, and escalating the interaction rather than simply ringing me up. At that point, I asked, "Do you want to argue? Do you want me to go back and forth with you?" I then asked who the manager was. She pointed to a woman beside her, who identified herself as the owner. I asked if she could ring me up instead. Even then, the cashier continued making comments. It was only after she continued engaging me that my voice became louder in response. Rather than addressing the repeated comments from her employee or asking what had happened, the owner immediately said, "Do not raise your voice at my employee." That response was disappointing. There was also no acknowledgment that the interaction had been escalated by the cashier's continued remarks before I ever raised my voice. It took 15 minutes and multiple request for the bill before we just went to the front and forced them to check us out.
