I was so confused when I first saw the reviews for this place: tacos, paczki, and mainly what seemed to be European style cookies and baked goods at a place called a Mexican Bakery? Imagine my skepticism. Well, rest assured, Vinewood Mexican Bakery does indeed sell typical panaderia fare as well. Conchas, marranito, fruit-filled empanadas, and all sorts of other pan dulce and treats. They have a small section on the countertop where they sell bagged day old bread, four for $2. You can't beat that price. We picked up some conchas from this section. Is it the best concha I've ever had? No, but it's light and airy, slightly sweet with a crumbly cookie top, and most importantly, extremely affordable. What more could you ask for? Also - as a side note, the tacos are sold at the El Bigotes that's connected to Vinewood, not actually at Vinewood! read more

Came here for a quick lunch- the tacos were great! The meat was well seasoned. They gave free chips and salsa prior to the food coming out. It was $8 for the lunch platter. It was hard to find since it's listed as a bakery, but the tacos were definitely fantastic. The Service was great and the woman that helped us was sweet. The food came out quickly. 9/10 read more

I walked in on Fat Tuesday after working and not being able to hit Hamtramck. After looking for bakeries that were open after 5, I stumbled on Vinewood! They were open until 8! Unusual for any bakery! Small, Family owned and operated. We need to continue to support places like this. In the middle of a neighborhood, you'd pass it if you werent looking. In typical mexican style, grab a tray and start to serve from the glass enclosements. They do have some stuff behind the counter youll need to ask for. And a few mexican products nestled around. Its also attached to El Bigote's, so make it a day! Walk around Wyanotte, grab a few tacos, and then enjoy some dessert. Btw, The packzis were delicious! And after getting packzis for so many years from Ham-town, we could tell the difference, These ones from Vinewood had a signature Mexican flair, Im sure they put some extra canela in the dough or something lol. But hey! I'll be back next Fat Tuesday! I know they will be open and the donuts will be delicious. read more

I really like this place, quite charming and quaint. It is nestled in a little neighborhood in Wyandotte. I had been zipping through the city had a good lunch hit the park walked it off and remembered that I wanted to check this place out. Well I am pleased I did they offer all kinds of delicious treats for sure. I got a coconut strawberry cake and a raspberry coconut type of goodie both were pretty good! I wanted to try the tamales but I passed, they also offer burritos. I will have to update on my next visit and there definitely will be a next time this place is pretty sweet. Plus almost forgot to mention just a hip hop skip and away there happened to be an estate sale where I scored the most awesome cast iron skillet for two bucks! Triumphant super happy about that. If your in the area I would definitely recommend stopping by this place, it definitely has personality. read more

Decided to try out this new bakery in Wyandotte! I was plenty surprised at the cheap prices and high quality baked goods! From fresh bread, pastries, cookies, conchos, etc! I have now returned several times and will continue to keep going back! I was a little confused when I first walked in but here is the basics, when you walk in to the left is a stand with trays. This is an authentic Mexican bakery located in a cozy corner in Wyandotte. The aromas as well as the flavors have made us come back four times in the last four weeks. The empanadas and the conchas are my personal favorite but I have tried at least ten varieties of great Mexican bread and none have disappointed. Yes Mexican Paczki only in Wyandotte find them on Facebook, me neighbor supply Tequila right from Mexico so we pounding Paczki today with a kick. Luis and Xochil Aguinaga, owners of Vinewood Mexican Bakery, 988 Vinewood, in Wyandotte, are busy preparing paczki from scratch for their steady Paczki Day sales. Grab a tray and tongs when you walk in and help yourself (this seems to be the norm for the few Mexican bakeries I have visited). You'll find plenty of Mexican staples like bolillos, buñuelos, conchas, churros, empanadas and orejas. Since it's across the street from a Polish church, I shouldn't have been surprised to see pączki available. read more

I've lived in Austin Texas for quite some time so being in Michigan now I was excited to see a little bakery of all my favorite goodies. The selection on cookies and baked goods is wonderful. Not lacking much. I don't even know what I picked out but it was one of the most delicious little cakes. I ordered a half pound of tamales and they were only $5! Seriously amazing too. They were out of burritos but she made up some within a few minutes and after bringing them home I have to say the chicken one was one of the best I've ever had. I wish they had a horchata machine.
