I was so excited that this Rite Aid had Thrifty Ice Cream. I drove and hour and a half on a Saturday morning in fog for this ice cream. Went in, saw the ice cream "shop" in the corner and when I took a peak at the flavors available I was told promptly that the shop was closed due to short staffing. WHAT???!!!! I saw three employees in the front, not assisting any customers, there was no line at the registers, not another client in my view range. Short staff, sure I get it, but if I saw a crowd and employees scrambling then I would take that reason. From a potential client wanting ice cream, nope, this was just an excuse. I told one of the employees that I came from so far, and she said nope, can't short staffed. If you don't want to sell ice cream, at least tell me that the freezer was broken. Anything else really to justify not being able to scoop three single ice cream cones. Annoyed.

And today I went in to get some chips for the grand-kids and this guy who was at least a head taller than me and I'm 6'1 walks by and says "Hello, ya ya doing" Felt like old Oakdale again. Then when I couldn't find my chips I asked the gentleman named "Isaiah" (Hope I spelled it right) at the register if they had anymore since their was only one bag and the web says plenty. That Young man went way above and beyond being a cashier by going down the isles looking for the chips and then the tall guy showed up who I figured to be the manager and he helped. Got the chips for the kids thanks to those 2. And it was really nice having a manager walk by and just randomly say hello again. Thank You Walgreens for Hiring great employee's who bring back that good ole feel of Old Oakdale. If ya need any stuff from the store head to Walgreens. They will remind ya how Oakdale used to be.

I needed to print off a book for studying. It was a decently large book (312 pages). I printed it…read moreand they had it ready pretty quickly! When I went to pick it up, they had it in a box ready for me to bring home. When I took it home, I began hole punching it and suddenly realized that I had a pretty big problem. The pages we mixed up! It looked like parts were together but then they would get all mixed up. It took about 1 1/2 hours and three people to put it back together in order. It caused more anxiety than I needed in that moment and for these reasons, Im giving 3 stars.

I was diagnosed with a mental health disorder this past year and getting my meds is the worst. I have to call every month to ask them to fill my prescription. And every month they make me feel like I'm drug seeking when I'm just trying to get my meds so I can be normal. They are rarely kind or compassionate or empathetic. I'm very disappointed with my experience and warn everyone not to go.

She suggested I'd speak with her. So glad she did. The Pharmacist herself helped me. They were so busy that morning. But, all I could think of was the pain my daughter was in and I was clueless on what to give her. Luck was on my side another Pharmacist walked in. She told her what I needed and she got right on it! Thank you for having patience to deal with a 70 year old woman that was about to loose it. The medication worked! It kept her pain under control until her prescribed medications were filled. However after waiting an ungodly amount of time just to get the prescriptions for my terribly sick 10 month old, who was losing her mind and coughing so much she vomited all over herself as we left the store, I wasn't going to wait for a pharmacist. Thank goodness for YouTube. May just switch to Amazon pharmacy after this experience. Please do better.
