If you're ordering medication that needs to be refrigerated, they can't guarantee you that will still be useful after delivery because they have nothing to do with the Postal Service and the promptness that it takes when something needs to stay refrigerated. Spent almost $200 on a medication and delivery took two days with normal ice pack... and they take no responsibility if the medication is no longer useful. If you're going to use this pharmacy, be sure to pick it up in person or you're screwed. read more

Went to River Oak pharmacy to get my Covid vaccine they said that it was going to be a $40 co-pay and that it was no longer covered by the government and I said well it's supposed to be covered because I have United Health insurance and then some administrator came back while I was in the waiting room and said I had to "pay an administration fee and you can't ask for reimbursement from your insurance company and you can't turn it into anywhere and we're not giving you the shot unless you sign this paper saying that you understand that you can't ask for any reimbursement for this from any place else and you can't tell anyone about the fact that we charged you a fee or report it any where, and that we made you sign this paper." Part two: then when I got the shot they told me that it was only $25 and when I paid for the shot they gave me two receipts one for the $25 and another one for $140 showing that my insurance company covered the $140 so what's up with all of that? read more

I changed to River Oak Pharmacy after having problems with Rite Aid filling my subscriptions on time. The day before I was able to pick up my subscription I called River Oak Pharmacy before hand to make sure it would be ready. The woman pharmacist I spoke to told me it would be ready by 11:00 a.m. I went to River Oak and was told by the same woman that my prescription was not ready and it would be another 40 minutes. I reminded her of our phone conversation the day before and she said she didn't tell me the pick up time for my prescription, in other words I was just called a liar. I was not happy and went out to wait in my car. A few minutes later she came out to my car and apologized saying she had spoken to me and one other person and couldn't recall our phone conversation. I have changed my pharmacy to Walgreens. Very disappointed. I had hoped dealing with a small local pharmacy would be better, but I was sorely mistaken. read more

I have dealt with this pharmacy for almost 30 years and have always found them to be helpful, courteous, and informative. Went here today, June 29th 2021 to drop off my husband and my prescriptions. I usually go to Rite Aid but since my husband has been coming to this pharmacy for 20+ years I decided to drop my prescription off as well. The male pharmacy tech said to me "The computer says you usually go to Rite Aid, why are you coming here today?" He advised me to go to Rite Aid to get it filled and turned me away. I don't appreciate being treated like a drug abuser. I have Graves disease now so I have sever anxiety and depression. My prescription was for Xanax. My husband is going to pick up his prescription for the last time and is going to Rite Aid as well. read more

They are friendly, convenient, deliver to Oakdale, Riverbank, and Modesto for free, are a compounding pharmacy and do special orders of medical supplies. They also have an extensive line of durable medical equipment such as beds, commodes, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, and lift chairs. Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced in some time. As one of the few compounding pharmacies around, I'd expect after ordering of materials that they'd be able to do the job, but a month later while my wife suffers and the doctors call them, we just get the run around and excuses. Turns out there was a simple answer, yet it came from a 15 min conversation with another pharmacy. This combined with another incident in which after an hour standing and waiting, they didn't have the antibiotic in stock for our child...which was apparently in their inventory system but that they couldn't be bothered to tell us that when they called. Best of all - when I changed to River Oak from another out the area compounding pharmacy, I did not experience any hiccups in the road of my health. The pharmacy is very inefficient. I payed for my medicine in advance and when I arrived after receiving the call for pickup it wasn't ready,when I came back they still said I DIDN'T pay for it and told me to pay for it AGAIN. I normally would have walked out and cancelled everything but this is a Compounding Pharmacy and the product they made was just for me. Therefore let me pay them, leave, and never come back. Throughout the ordeal the gentleman was murmuring angrily about me as he was severing me. It's fine to have a bad day but you don't take it out on me,a paying customer. Although I gave them one star I wish I could give them a -1 star. I don't recommend going to this pharmacy. read more

I live in Modesto, but my doctor uses RiverOak as their pharmacy for compounding hormones. Been using them for several years and they offer great service. I have my prescriptions mailed to me. They are fast, reasonably priced and have a very friendly staff. read more
