There is something soothing, though i know many who would disagree with me, in small, neatly organized places full of shelves be they books or bottles or elsewise. Vineyard is one of those places, open enough upstairs but more closed in when one ventures down to the back to peruse Italian wine or the beer selection, floor to ceiling with tidy bottle displays, the contents of which made my heart sing... for all their capability in a few labels to simultaneously make my wallet cry. The gentlemen on duty when I arrived were solicitous and helpful, glad to answer questions with honest information and recommendations, deferring to one another when a better answer might be had and giving advice without condescending as I have had occur elsewhere. If uncertain, always ask. They know their stock and the stock is -good-. Both the bottles purchased for myself and for gifts were well received when I returned home and I regret that I do not live closer. read more

Great open air place to grab some great wines without spending a fortune; you can if you would like though. They also have a nice selection of some unique spirits. We stopped in while they were doing a wine tasting with wines from Chile, we were blown away and ended up just buying these wines. This place has an affordable, thoughtfully curated, and diverse selections of wine, as well as a knowledgeable staff. I've also been a member of their wine of the month club for a number of years, and enjoy the variety and quality of the monthly deliveries as well. Each wine in store and in the wine club comes with a write up about flavor profile, regional detail, and often a reviewer consideration. The whole place makes wine shopping accesible and enjoyable. I stopped by the Vineyard Wine Shop after the gym yesterday in hopes of procuring a good bottle to take over to a friend's house. I was pleasantly surprised by the size and selection of the shop, and am amazed I hadn't checked this place out before. They had some wine up front, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. When an employee saw me awkwardly looking for the cabernet sauvignon selection, he led me down the stairs to a room in the basement. The guy briefly asked me about a price point and tried to sell me on a cab that he described as lighter, feminine, and smooth. Me, liking the bigger and deep, bold reds, inquired if they had the Clio - a fantastic spanish Mourvedre that will tear up any $100 cab most days of the week. Surprisingly, they had a bottle in stock and I was happily on my way. This shop is a little pricier than the average price in town for the same wine, however, I found out it is the oldest solely wine shop in Colorado and is also locally owned. Plus, for the convenience and up-charge of being located in Cherry Creek North, I didn't mind supporting a local business. I was also given the opportunity to have the bottle wrapped in a fancy bottle bag with ribbon, which is complementary with each bottle purchase. If you are in the area and looking for a good wine shop, the Vineyard Wine Shop is definitely worth a stop in. I saw some interesting wines in stock that I hadn't seen in a lot of liquor stores, and the employees were all very friendly and accommodating. read more

Wow have you been here yet, wine lovers? If not, get here when you need to stock up. The bf and I discovered this lovely little wine shop on one of our morning strolls through the Cherry Creek shopping area, and I'm nothing but excited about it now. The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. They have wines of the month featured at the front. I'm a lover of French wines...I've never really met one I don't like. I've found though, that they are hard to purchase in liquor stores/grocery stores (where I normally shop) and here is where they all live! Vineyard has an awesome selection of French wines, and now I finally have a local shop to stop into when I'm hankering for a good bottle. Love love love, so in love. They also do wine tastings here, and I fully intend on participating when I can. read more

I've been keeping an eye on this place and been meaning to venture in, and I'm glad I did! The staff was really friendly and didn't mind letting us browse their collection. I saw a lot of interesting stuff that you're unlikely to find anywhere else. I asked about a few of my favorites, which they unfortunately can't get due to the very limited distribution, but they were very knowledgeable and willing to help. I also feel like the prices here are really reasonable, though I didn't do an actual comparison....just a gut instinct and initial observation. Don't forget to check out the cellar downstairs! And don't miss the room off the stairs - this is where they hide their port....and some beer! read more

This wine shop has free tastings a couple times during the week! We had stopped by here after we ran into a free tasting going on, on our walk back from an appointment we had in the area. It was a great time to try samples of different wines we havent heard of before and also mingle with the crowd of people. They have a nice selection of wines both upstairs and in their basement. They also had a person downstairs educating others about different types of wine as well. This would be a great spot to stop at after a day of shopping in the area or to grab a bottle of wine to take home after dinner. This is a place I definitely will be back to, to try some free samples and hopefully meet some other people from the area. read more

How do you define serendipity? For me, it's discovering a wine shop that offers a free tasting on a Friday afternoon. My friend and I were wandering around Cherry Creek looking for liquor stores to augment his supply. After leaving an overpriced shop, we discovered the Vineyard. The young man working there was incredibly knowledgeable and invited us to his tasting that began at 2 PM. We killed some time and were treated to 4 pours, in a glass, of some excellent summer wines. Each one was better than the last one. While I don't live in Denver, this is a definite stop for wine lovers -- you can order by the case and even join their wine-of-the-month clubs. read more

I ordered a gift basket to be delivered to a friend for her birthday. There was a small glitch in the delivery, once it was discovered, Nathan went above and beyond to fix it. He called the recipient and explained what had happened & let her know that her gift basket was on its way. Mistakes happen.... What doesn't happen so much anymore is a business that acknowledges and "own's" a mistake and works very hard to fix it. When I spoke with them on the phone I never mentioned anything about the delivery charge, but I received an email within the hour informing me that they were crediting me for it. This is a classy place, that truly appreciates your business, and oh yeah, they have a huge selection of great wines and a knowledgable staff. read more

I LOVE THIS SHOP! I went looking for a "wine of the month" program and they had the best prices. I went in and boy was I surprised and happy. They have the best and largest selection of wine I have ever seen. I signed up immediately and I never been unhappy. Every bottle they have given me each month has been delicious and I always buy more. Their prices range from $8 to hundreds of dollars and each bottle is worth it. I also love their free wine tasting. I normally don't shop Cherry Creek because some of the stores have snobbish employees, not here. Wonderfully happy and down to earth employees. Love them all. (Free parking in the back.) I would encourage everyone to go to the Vineyard. It is DEFINITELY worth your time and money. read more

These guys are the BEST! They have a lovely selection and go above and beyond in their customer service. They helped us out in a bind when we needed to deliver a gift and had not realized that you cannot send wine through the postal service. (who knew?? not me!!)
