I'm beyond grateful for Dr. Chacko…read more Over the years, I've worked with several therapists and none of them were the right fit. I usually left feeling misunderstood, stuck, and frustrated with a lack of progress. I'm also not someone who typically writes reviews, so the fact that I'm taking the time to write this says a lot about how strongly I feel. I first reached out to Dr. Chacko for help with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Now 4+ years later, I can say without hesitation that he has been a genuinely transformative force in my life. What makes Dr. C stand out is how fundamentally different he is from any therapist I've ever worked with. He deeply cares about his patients. He goes above and beyond. He's honest, straightforward, and a good human. He says the things you need to hear and always with compassion. He's deeply empathetic, emotional, and genuine. There's no clinical distance or therapist "mask." He's right there with you as a real person. And he's also not afraid to get vulnerable himself. Sometimes he'll ask if he can share a personal story to help make a point, which means a lot to me. Those moments make our sessions feel more human and meaningful. It's not the typical one-way therapist-patient relationship. He takes the time to really understand you. Not just your symptoms, but who you are, how you think, and what you actually need, and because of this, he gets to know you deeply over time. The fact that he's both a therapist and an MD adds another layer of trust, especially when navigating issues like ADHD and anxiety. I can say without hesitation that working with Dr. C has changed my life for the better. I'm grateful every time I walk into his office, and I can't recommend him highly enough.

The person who helped me get set up was polite and knew what forms I needed. Once inside the room, the assistant was efficient and didn't waste time. They asked good questions and took notes on everything I said. The doctor came in not too long after and took time to review things with me. They spoke in a way that was easy to understand and didn't overcomplicate stuff. Looked into a few things and gave some thoughts about what could be going on. What I liked was that they didn't just give a quick answer and move on. They asked me what I thought and made it feel like a two way conversation. I walked out feeling heard and informed. Not perfect but definitely better than some other places I've been to.

However, I do wish my symptoms had been taken more seriously. I brought up my symptoms multiple times, and although tests were ordered, when they came back normal, there was no follow-up. It often felt like, "This test is normal," but there wasn't a next step to address why I was still experiencing symptoms. One of the concerns I mentioned was that my hair was falling out at a high rate. I also had constant bloating. Further testing wasn't pursued--perhaps because I was young and appeared healthy, or because I'm a woman and these changes were considered normal. By the end of 2023, I was tired of feeling sick and decided to change insurance. There were many symptoms, but one in particular became unbearable. I was constantly bloated--my stomach felt very heavy. As soon as I took a bite of food, I felt full. I felt like a pregnant woman days before giving birth. I hadn't yet had the chance to establish care with a new doctor, so as soon as I received my insurance card, I went to urgent care. Based on my symptoms, they ordered bloodwork and a CT scan. The bloodwork came back normal, and I was told I'd be contacted if anything else came up. Not even halfway home, I received a call telling me I had ascites (fluid buildup), which can be a sign of cancer, and that I needed to go to the hospital immediately. I was admitted for a week. They removed 2 1/2 liters of fluid, which explained the bloating. The moment the fluid was removed, I felt instant relief. I later underwent debulking surgery and was diagnosed with stage 3 low-grade serous ovarian cancer (LGSC). I've since gone through two rounds of chemotherapy, with a third possibly coming soon based on my bloodwork. I understand that cancer may not have been preventable, but earlier detection could have made a significant difference. I'm sharing this to raise awareness: when patients say they feel sick, we do. At one point, I started to believe it was all in my head. In a bittersweet way, finding out there was a real cause validated what I had been feeling all along. My symptoms included constant headaches (severe enough to affect my ability to work), fatigue, acid reflux, persistent bloating, hair loss, night sweats, hot flashes, pencil-thin stools, and debilitating cramps--even when I wasn't menstruating.

Dear Kaiser Permanente Member Services (Attn: Case Manager for #ISN2427820),…read moreThis is an aggressive follow-up to my initial grievance submitted on October 21, 2026, regarding the pharmacy section's refusal to cover my prescribed medication at $400 USD per month, forcing me to pay out of pocket every month despite my coverage. Your automated acknowledgment on February 2, 2026, promised prioritization and forwarding to a case manager for review, investigation, and resolution yet over six weeks later, I have received ZERO updates, no case manager contact, and no resolution. Your inaction is unacceptable, unprofessional, and a blatant violation of Kaiser Permanente's obligations under California law to provide timely grievance responses (within 30 days standard, 72 hours for urgent) and accountable service. This delay demonstrates a lack of meaningful resolution and accountability, exactly as I warned in my original complaint your employee(s) involved deserve immediate investigation and disciplinary action.
