However, the office discontinued Medi-Cal coverage and I am no longer able to see her. My main review is for the front staff. They're either very rude or have no clue what's going on. Each time I talk to the staff, they either have curt responses and don't actually bother to try to find a resolution, or the staff is inexperienced and always tell me they'll "call me back" with an answer AND THEY NEVER DO. Overall I find the front of staff very unprofessional and no one seems to have the answer to anything, nor the will to try to help patients with administrative problems.

My parents had been seeing their previous primary care physicians for over three decades, but recently, the service became unacceptable. Dealing with outdated office systems--like being forced to physically pick up a paper referral in 2026, was incredibly frustrating. I had been encouraging my parents to give Dr. Le and Dr. Do a shot because I knew how impressive their practices were. They are modern, tech-savvy, younger physicians who leverage the latest technology to enhance patient care, which I find incredibly important. My parents finally made the switch, and they had their first visit today (June 4th, 2026). My mother became a patient in 2021 during a very critical time. She was rushed to the emergency room due to unexplained internal bleeding and severe bruising. No one could determine the cause. I still vividly remember the first time I met Dr. Lee--it was close to midnight, between 11:30 PM and 12:00 AM. Despite the late hour, he arrived at the hospital promptly and took immediate action. At first, I assumed he was the night-shift doctor, but I later learned he had already worked a full day at his clinic and was still making himself available to care for patients after hours. That dedication left a lasting impression on me. Eventually, my mother was diagnosed with a very rare condition called Factor VIII Deficiency. Her own brother, who lived in Vietnam, had sadly passed away from similar symptoms. We consider ourselves incredibly fortunate to have met Dr. Lee and his daughter, who both cared for my mother with such compassion and professionalism throughout the years. Even during her chemotherapy treatments, Dr. Lee daughter personally visited her in the hospital to monitor her condition. When my mother later traveled to Vietnam to visit family and encountered further health issues, Dr. Lee responded to my calls--even from overseas--and guided us on what steps to take until she was able to return to the U.S. That level of commitment is rare and deeply appreciated. I live far away from my parents so was never able to take them to their doc visits, but upon reviewing my dad's management in the past few years and speaking to Dr. Nguyen on the phone recently, I can see that he does not know what is going on with my dad. He also orders for imaging without having a reasonable indication. He gets frustrated when I ask follow up questions because I can tell he's very rushed and wants to hang up, he kept cutting me off and said he's going to hang up a few times while I was still talking, and his replies is, "it's fine, whatever, you guys don't have to do it". I also walked in on my mom one time while she was having a tele visit with him once, it took a total of about 3 mins, and all I can hear is every time my mom ask a question, he cuts her off and talks over her, and in the end he said "I'm very busy, I gotta go" and hangs up. My mom then tells me that's how he treats her and my dad at most visits. I have never in my medical career treated any of my patients like this. I was taught to respect patients and listen to their concerns, because it is a privilege to even be able to see and treat patients. I hope for other patients' sake that Dr. Nguyen's doesn't treat them the same as he treats my parents. Elderly patients can be frustrating, as they have a lot of medical issues, and they may not have a full understanding of their illnesses, but that does not mean they deserve to be treated with any less respect. I advise people that not all FM doc out there are supposed to be like this. This is NOT the standard of care. There are really good and caring docs out there, so please find yourself another pcp who actually will listen to your concerns and treat you with respect and dignity. Everyone deserves that.

My husband took me to the emergency room instead of returning to her clinic. Blood tests were done immediately, and I was admitted to the ICU due to hyponatremia (low sodium levels in my blood). The hospital staff told me the timing was critical and that they saved my life. This happened seven years ago.
