My husband took me to the emergency room instead of returning to her clinic. Blood tests were done immediately, and I was admitted to the ICU due to hyponatremia (low sodium levels in my blood). The hospital staff told me the timing was critical and that they saved my life. This happened seven years ago. She's great for primary care, and keeps her patients above factors like financial interest or just "ticking boxes" in providing care (that most other doctors do not). A-rating for the Dr. However, there are problems with the front-office staff. They often try to manage the doctor unprofessionally, instead of the other way round - while running her office. Specific problems experienced were: Doctor was running late with our appointment, and we needed the full appointment time that we paid for (out of pocket, in that instance) and I was making sure we were not exceeding our time. The uncouth staff would butt in while the doctor was taking her time to explain matters on her own volition - to push her on to the next patient. If this staff were being so diligent, they would have paid attention to the fact that the doctor was running late and prevented that. There were other issues as well, such as careless simple blood-draw from untrained staff that led to bleeding that the staff did not even notice. So C- or D rating for the front-office staff that one might have to deal with, for the benefit of the good doctor.

I've made a number of appointments for routine stuff, pick up a prescription or get a flu shot or shingles vaccine and I'm in and out without even having to see the doctor. 4. When seeing the doctor she takes the time to discuss the medical issues. I never feel rushed or neglected. She is thorough. 5. Dr Huynh really cares. She takes the time to go over my history and issues. She talks to me about different treatment options. She is not a pill pusher; she discusses methods of self-care before prescribing a drug. If he writes a Rx she is very thorough explaining how to use the medication and what the possible side effects are. 6. She gives good advice. Again, I feel she really cares for my well-being. She seems well informed regarding medicine and treatment. I've been her patient for five years now and I'm very happy. 7. I have no complaints about her front desk staff and her nurse. They competent and matter of fact. They have always answered my questions and explained any billing or other questions I have asked them. Personally, I don't have any major health issues, so it's not a big deal if I don't see the same doctor for every visit. However, it's frustrating when I get asked about my condition from previous visits because I'm seeing a different doctor. Not saying it's not relevant for them to ask but there's lack of knowledge built from having an existing relationship with your patient. Worse, they did not transfer our records, forcing us to start over from scratch. They also charged an undisclosed $100 "Outside Orders Review" fee, despite advertising transparent pricing. Overall, this clinic wasted our time, mishandled our case, and failed to deliver the service we paid for. Avoid at all costs.
