I live nearby and have frequently thought about stopping here. Then COVID happened and I haven't had a need to get much done. First impressions of this store is that it's very clean and presentable. It didn't have that mom-n-pop appearance but looked more updated and kept. I appreciated the modern decor and really love the door! The employees I interacted with were very kind and welcoming. I actually got to exchange some good laughs as I took the photos included in my post. The service alone Would bring be back in a heartbeat. The proving here was great as well! DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANER. NEVER. This is coming from a loyal Carriage Cleaners customer for 3 years with no issues until a recent incident. For context: My wedding is 5/11/2024. I recently purchase a brand new Calvin Klein Tuxedo for the wedding. I wore it in December 2023 for another black tie wedding and upon return to Atlanta I dropped it off at Carriage Cleaners along with another full suit, white button down, and work slacks. After new years I stopped by to pick my clothes up and they couldn't locate them. Itemized details below. Throughout this process I have gleamed that it seems an employee stole my items due to how expensive they are. I am being offered 10x the cleaning price which is $400 and doesn't even cover the Tuxedo jacket. I have had multiple conversation with the employees and the one conversation with the owner Mr. Lee, who refuses to take any accountability for his business and his employees. They do not negotiate in good faith. I have been in contact with the Better Business Bureau about the company and am currently in the process of filing a lawsuit. I have a call set up with their landlord for later today and am in contact with the local news. This is by far and away the worst operating dry cleaners in the southeast, with rude and unprofessional ownership and employees. Sad to see this place has such bad reviews. We've been coming here for a couple years and they do a great job and are reasonably priced. I will say, the woman who used to work behind the counter was not pleasant, but the new lady is wonderful. Since I've been pregnant, she rushes out to help me get my stuff and always brings my items out to my car for me. This place used to be good, but now it's has new owners and their work is awful. My white shirts came back brown and wrinkled. I love a crispy white shirt and all of mine are destroyed. I'm so annoyed with them. I wish I still had my receipts because I would make them pay for my clothing, which is not cheap!!! BEWARE IF THIS PLACE. I used to come here, from over an hour away, because I loved the pride they took into making sure my clothing were taken care of properly. It was great quality for a great price and reasonable timing. The reason for such a low rating is due to issues with my wedding dress and the poor communication from the owner of the store. Whom I still have yet to speak with. I dropped off my wedding gown and veil to be cleaned as I had more than one ceremony due to family out of the country, etc. (July - September 2019). I made them very aware of the fact that I needed my dress cleaned by a certain time. They gave me the date and time that it would be ready. Thankfully, I told them I needed it two weeks before I actually did because it was almost two weeks late. When I did pick it up, it was the day before my husband and I left. I do take responsibility in not checking to make sure everything was there before departing. However, I made it to where I needed to be for the second ceremony and the veil was not there. I called them to ask if they had it and why it was not with the dress. Turns out they had lost it. About three days later, I called and told them I would be coming back for a refund and would like to speak with the owner. At the end of this phone conversation they had suddenly found my veil. The owner kept pulling me around, I was told I would get a call and I never did. I stopped by three different times and no one would help me. I expected a full refund for the cleaning of the veil. I was told that I would get one. That never happened either. Mind you, I had called at least 7 different times trying to get the issue resolved. Nothing ever came from it and I had to attend my second ceremony without my veil. I had professional pictures being taken that day and it is very bothersome that my wedding look was incomplete due to disorganization of this dry cleaner. I walked in the door to pick up my shirt and The employee had a mask around her chin not covering her mouth or nose and the first thing out of the employees's mouth was "do you have a mask?" I said "no, I've been vaccinated and I've had Covid and I was tested for Covid two days ago and was negative". She replied "we still ask that you wear one". I paid for my shirt and I left. She didn't say thank you for the business or anything. I'm not going to bow to hypocrisy or ridiculous politics or lack of common sense. I won't be back to this business. read more

They did a good job on my dry cleaning. As with any off-site dry cleaning operation timing can be an issue -- same-day service is not guaranteed -- but I was not in a hurry. Prices are reasonable. Personnel are friendly. read more

I had gone to this cleaners a couple of times and have never had an issue until I had my sons shirt stained in multiple areas along with some of the thread coming out. I had called and told them what i had discovered and all they said was they were going to let the manager know and that they would contact me. I never heard anything back from anyone which was disappointing. I would have been happy with a call back and an apology in regards to the stains but I didn't hear anything back. They lost a customer I won't be returning. I will say that The girls I spoke to were very polite. They said that they would waive the $05.00 and give me 10% off of every order moving forward, but the inconvenience far outweighs this kind of discount. I'll never go back again. read more

Needless to say, times are tough for small businesses--but Carriage Cleaners' must either have an abundance of customers or just those who are willing to put up with service that that--just maybe both. I asked if she was the owner and she stated that she was the manager. If you managed anything of mine the way you pretend to manage Carriage's customer experience ---you'd be managing finding a new job. Just a little advice---if it's feeding time and before the scheduled time to begin treating your customers like garbage---or if you're simply not ready to be nice...keep the door locked, the lights off and feed out of sight. Been here once, maybe twice before, but never again. Dropped off 4 long sleeve Ralph Lauren dress shirts. Was initially told almost a week before they would be ready, which I thought was a tad bit long. Anyways, go to pick up on the day after I was told they would be ready, shirts not ready and was asked to comeback tomorrow. Before I even wake up, I listen to a voicemail which is the cleaners asking for an additional week to locate my shirts. I give them the week, still no shirts. I was told I would be compensated, which I eventually was. But I was told that they would only cover 70% of the costs of my shirts. Of course this wasn't going to fly with me. Eventually got the price I asked for, but I have never experienced such bad business. How can you lose someone's property, which I still feel someone stole, and offer them 70% of the costs.
