The Lyndhurst sandwich was really good. It's the chicken cutlet and prosciutto sandwich with fresh mozzarella. I just wish it had some condiment like olive oil and balsamic vinegar, pesto, or red pepper spread. Staff were friendly and ambiance is a normal Jersey place. Hands down the absolute best fresh mozzarella around !!! Come for the mozzarella but omg don't leave without one of their killer sandwiches. Live around the corner and have been meaning to get here sooner than today,even as far back as when they were on ridge road. Sad i missed so many good meals all this time. Ordered a square pie today and it was perfection. No pics of it because it went down too fast, as did the fresh mozzarella i sliced and had with it. also bought a bottledcoffee soda, it was soo good. They have high quality fountain sodas as well as bottled specialty drinks. all the employees and vinnie are extremely nice and make you feel at home. We were offered a dessert dough ball while waiting for our pizza, as well as a drink. Will def be back, just sad that i missed out on such good stuff all this time!!! We had sandwiches and pizza twice. The first time sandwich bread was fresh & crisp second time bread was soggy old & mooz was just like a glop on top (not even melted properly) the pizza crust was pale hardly cooked and half the slice collapsed because it was wet. I want to like this place but I can't waste money on bad food. read more

Me and 5 friends booked a Mootz making class for Friday, January 5th. It was a BYOB. We arrived, got settled and were immediately given a fresh, delicious caprese salad. The veggies were fresh and the mootz was warm, salty and, above all creamy. Almost immediately, an antipasto was given to us. Ham, salami, capicolla, hot sopresatta, prosciutto, stuffed cherry peppers, and roasted peppers filled this beauty along with sliced provolone. Every ingredient was top quality. Garlic rubbed bread was also served. After the antipasto we were asked if we wanted a pasta course. The wives said yes and gave chef Vinny a few characteristics of how they wanted their pasta. "Small, creamy, veggies " were the instructions given. Not ten minutes later we were all served fresh penne with a cognac cream sauce, shihitake mushrooms, crumbled sausage and fresh parsley. PHENOMENAL!!! Vinny sat with us, told us his story (quite interesting and compelling) and also listened and interacted with us all. After all that Vinny and his staff set up mootz making stations for each person in our party. He explained the process to us all and then took the time to work with each of us to get a great mootz turned out. When we were all done, and I mean DONE, Vinny's staff brought out fresh canolli and dessert. I know I'll be back. I hope to see you all there. read more

The staff are sweet and professional somethings that is hard to find these days. Much respect to the family that raised such young men and women. My first time here I got 2 sandwiches and fresh moth ball after few customers walked in and got the fresh motz. I got the chicken motz, arugula and balsamic on this very soft bread. This thing was huge. Although it's a bit pricy it had enough of the ingredients. They weren't cheap with anything. And it will feed 2 people . I came here twice now and each time each sandwich was enough for 2 people. I didn't try anything but the sandwiches and they were great. Arrived about 20 mins before closing, ordered an antipasto salad to go and purchased fresh mozz and another cheese (about $40). Waited about 15 minutes for the salad which came out in a bag, stapled shut. When we got home, we realized all of the meat and cheese was left out of the salad. The store offered to replace the salad if we wanted to make the 30 min round trip to take care of it ourselves. Not super helpful or convenient. Cheese was good but would be sure to check my order before leaving if ordering anything else. read more

Stopped here over the weekend with my friend before our yearly road trip. Tried a chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella and balsamic sandwich. Nothing too crazy for my bland palate. I will be back. The fresh mozzarella cheese was melty and fresh and stretchy and salty the way I like my cheese. The chicken cutlet was hot and seasoned well. It was on some good Italian bread and that's all I needed. Next time I'll try more variety and something messier but this time I was driving and holding my sandwich. read more

Entering the restaurant it has the atmosphere of an old school pizza place. The smell of my childhood pizza place memories came back to me without looking at the menu. The owner greeted my group with a smile and handshake. This is one of those places that keep people coming back for more. The sandwich is enough for lunch, dinner, and a late night snack. Every bite full of flavor even if you just get a mouthful of roll. The bread is so fresh you could just eat it alone and the vodka sauce is close to the best I've ever had. The tomato sauce is really good also it has some really great tomato chunks in it and is seasoned with a secret family recipe only few places know. I highly recommend this place even if you go for the aroma of delicious food and just enjoy a cup or Italian coffee. The waitress is extremely attentive and when not serving food she kept cleaning so you know the place is clean.
