Just note that when paying in store, there is a 3% credit card fee so consider bringing cash with you. To start, we got garlic knots which came with marinara sauce. They hit the spot. My husband got chicken parm over spaghetti and he was quite pleased with it. No complaints. He has about a lunch portion leftover. I got the Chicken Sorrentino over penne which was wonderful. I am probably able to make 2-2.5 meals out of it. We also got 2 sets of 3 pieces of Italian bread and some extra marinara sauce. The food was super hot even by the time I got home which I was happy with as takeout can sometimes be off temperature-wise. Spent a few days working in NJ and had to get some pizza. This place was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. Great selection of exotic slices, both my friend and I ordered the Drunken Grandma and the buffalo. Both were excellent. The first time I came here, the pizza was really good. The next time I went there, the pizza slice was burnt in the bottom. I showed the young man at the counter. He tried arguing with me that it was not burnt. It was burnt! I wanted a new slice. NEVER ARGUE WITH THE CUSTOMER. The new slice wasn't burnt but was barely warm. I didn't eat it all and placed it in the counter and left. They gave me dirty looks when I left half the slice there. I'm over this place. I dont why it gets so much attention. I'm really glad this restaurant opened up in such a convenient place in town. My family and I have been here twice and both times were fantastic. The service is friendly and quick and the interior is beautiful, neat and tasteful. They even have fresh flowers on the table sometimes! Don't skip their pizza. It's absolutely delicious. The crust is thin. The sauce is really tasty. I'd say one of the best in town. They do have an extensive menu though so don't forget to try out other dishes. Sunday night dinner brought us to the newly opened Casa D'Amici. We ordered via the phone and brought it home. Parking is somewhat tricky. I'm not sure if you're supposed to, but we parked in the back of the CVS parking lot. Upon entry, everything was clean and everyone was very nice. Food was ready to go at the designated time. My wife and my son both got the chicken parm dinners and I got the chicken, sausage and broccoli rabe. Chicken was very tender in all the dinners. Only thing I am slightly critical of was the broccoli rabe. That's a rough thing to master. It was slightly over cooked. Not horrible but not great... then again I'm a total broccoli rabe snob. All in all, a very solid chicken dinner all around. The prior tenant at this little slab of real estate?  Rizzoli's Little Italy. (I was a massive fan and a few of their offerings were the absolute best I've ever had.)  But change is inevitable and I was excited to give 'the new kid' a try.  Large plain pie... 3 stars. It's large, for sure. Per the norm (nowadays) - whoever is manning the pizza wheel-cutter seems to intentionally miscut them so you have six massive slices and two little guys (you can't fathom the drama this causes when I get home and trying to determine who will be 'stuck' with them!). The actual flavor/crust/what-have-you... decent. Totally decent. Even in a small town like NA with just a few pizzerias - I'm not sure the likes of Ferazzoli's or La Venereare at risk of being usurped by Casa D'Amici.  Garlic knots... 4.5 stars. Banging.  They are delightfully chubby, oozing garlic and oil. So messy (in a good way) - you might need utensils to properly attack and eat them.  Cavatelli and broccoli... 4 stars (actually one dish that Rizzoli's had mastered like few others) A boatload of sliced roasted garlic (hey, I'm not complaining - but the Mrs. probably wasn't thrilled about my post-dinner breath), crunchy broccoli, a noticeable hint of salt throughout... yeah, I dug it.    Restaurant (completely new/different from the prior place) - clean, vibrant, happening (on both sides of the counter). Staff - I dealt with two young'uns who were very friendly and professional. Pricing - a bit higher than I was expecting/hoping, but not outrageous by any means. Parking - this intersection can be lunacy, no street parking available - but there's a bit of a 'back lot' with a handful of spots.  On my visit (middle of the week) the place was jumping.  That was good to see and while I wish them nothing but continued success - I'm not sure we were impressed enough to add them into our weekly rotation of local places to snag a pizza. read more

Casa D'Amici is located at 599 Ridge Road and is on the corner of Ridge Road and Jauncey Avenue. It is primarily a Pizza place with Italian offerings. I was in town during the holidays, so I stopped in and purchased a pizza to go, half Pepperoni and half Mushroom. The pie was quite good. The owners were very friendly and offered me a complimentary drink which was very generous. The people who work here are family members and they are very professional and courteous to the customers. They work hard to earn your business. The pie was $23.50 and two toppings for a grand total of $25.06 and $5 for a cash Tip. The place is about a month old and the seating is spacious, clean and inviting. My server was Nancy and she was very helpful and gave me a copy of their new menu. I was in the mood for a Grandma Pie and the pictures I've seen coming out of Casa D' Amici looked good, so I went in, with a friend. Service was EXCEPTIONAL, Incredibly friendly and welcoming. The place itself is very nice looking. Fresh flowers at each table are a lovely touch, The Grandma Pie was delicious. It's slightly thicker and softer than some of the Grandma Pies I've had. It has a bit of a Focaccia quality to it as well. The ingredients are high quality and the pie was absolutely scrumptious. I will definitely go back! BYO too, which is also welcome. read more

As someone who attended culinary school, consults in the catering business, and lived in Brooklyn post-college for awhile, I know my way around great food--especially pizza. So when my wife and I stopped into Casa D'Amici on a pleasant July evening during a walk, we weren't expecting to be blown away. But from the moment we arrived, it was clear this place is doing something special. Casa D'Amici is located right on the main drag in North Arlington, with an inviting façade that immediately caught our eye. The dining room was immaculate and well-kept, with a visible attention to detail. There's also a counter up front displaying slices of their signature pies--again, everything spotless, organized, and professional. Looking back toward the food prep area, it was clear the team here holds high standards for sanitation and food safety, which as a food professional, I always notice and appreciate. We arrived on a fairly busy Saturday night around 9pm. Initially, we were planning to grab something to go, but the energy and atmosphere drew us in to dine there. The service was prompt, courteous, and genuinely warm. The staff not only knew the menu in and out, but they were enthusiastic to talk about the quality ingredients they use--a great sign in any restaurant. Now for the pizza. I've long said, "There's no real pizza in New Jersey"--and I say that only half-jokingly. But one bite into a plain slice here, and I was transported straight back to Bay Ridge. The crisp, the flavor, the perfect balance of tomato and cheese--it was all there. You can taste the attention to detail. The presentation was clean and appealing, and the texture of the crust was just right: thin, crisp, and flavorful without being oily or over baked. Before leaving, I grabbed a takeout menu and expressed interest in trying more of their offerings. A gentleman--whom I believe is the owner--asked my opinion on their popular Grandma slice and offered me a complimentary middle piece to try. Again, I was impressed. The homemade sauce, high-quality cheese, and fresh basil created something that was both comforting and complex. My only (minor) critique would be the crust--it could be rolled out just a touch thinner for my ideal Grandma slice. But honestly? It's the best Grandma slice I've had this side of the Hudson. Highlights: * Top-notch ingredients and layered flavors in the pizza * Impeccable cleanliness and attention to sanitation * Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff * A welcoming, casual atmosphere with real heart Minor areas for improvement: * The menu is a bit broad--tightening the focus will make it stronger and maximize revenue while minimizing waste * The takeout menu design feels a bit outdated and "diner-esque" * My only regret is not discovering this place sooner, despite living nearby for years! Casa D'Amici is the kind of neighborhood gem that deserves serious recognition. The ambiance was very nice and pretty, it was decorated with lots of flowers and is christmas themed making it very jolly. It is family owned who are wonderful and very friendly. They even gave us complimentary garlic knots. The food is amazing we got pizza that was perfectly crisp and the sauce was very flavorful with creamy cheese on top. I recently visited Casa D'amici and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. The restaurant is absolutely spotless which immediately made a great impression. Every detail from the shining counters to the tidy dining area shows how much care the owners put into maintaining a clean and welcoming space. Speaking of the owners , John , Roni and their entire family , Tom, Nancy etc , are some of the most passionate people I ever met in the restaurant business. They greeted us with warm smiles and shared stories about the inspiration and made us feel like part of the family . Their dedication to quality and hospitality truly sets this place apart. Now , onto the food . The GRANDMA pizza was perfection . The crust had just the right thickness with a beautiful balance of crispness and chewiness. The sauce was vibrant and fresh and the generous cheese melted into every bite. Their chicken wraps were just as incredible and packed with tender flavorful chicken and fresh ingredients. We had the Cowboy and the California. Can't go wrong with either one. Both delicious!! Tried this place after all the hype I read on my local Facebook page and unfortunately it's not to what I was expecting. I ordered over the phone for a pizza pie and a sandwich for pick up and was told 20-25 minutes and when i got there 45 minutes later and paid for it they told me it was coming out and would be a couple more minutes which resulted in another 15 minutes. And then when i complained they looked at me like if it was my fault. Worst thing was that I found them to be rude and didn't care about my business and i didn't even hear a sincere apology. Finally when I delivered the pizza pie to my two sons and after their first bite they complained right away and asked me where i got that pizza from cause they didn't like it, then i tried it myself and found that the pizza was not to my like either as it felt worst than the frozen pizza from the supermarket. The dough was hard and chewy and the sauce tasted funny. For as much as I like to support my local businesses, this one is not one that i would come back. I just purchased a large pizza (1/2 sausage & 1/2 mushroom), well done to take home. From the moment I placed the box in the car next to me, I sensed that there was something that wasn't right. There was no distinctive Italian aroma and the contents were heavy for a pizza. As I returned home, I opened the box and attempted to complete the original slicing but was unable to do so since each move had the toppings sliding off of the top of the dough. The dough itself was not entirely cooked. The sauce was bland and when I attempted to hold a piece in my hand, the topping slipped off. I resorted to using a knife and fork and it was extremely messy. We ate 2-slices, and I threw the rest in the garbage. Frankly, I was afraid of becoming ill. It was one of the most disgusting pizzas I have ever had. I've worked in Italian restaurants, and I know how to make a pizza. While I wasn't a cook, or a chef, I know good food. My wife was embarrassed because she is Albanian, and her family still has one of the best Italian restaurants in New Jersey. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but for $24.00, I was thoroughly disappointed. Of course, this is only my opinion, and I am sure there is probably a market for such food. read more
