I would have given Vinny 5 stars, if it weren't for the $25 haircut price plus the $2 debit card fee and then the request for a tip of $5 (20%). He got no tip because I felt the $25 price includes the tip. Aside from the high prices, Vinny took his time to cut my hair and make sure it was cut correctly. I requested a typical cut. No fades or other special requests. The place was empty and no waiting customers when I was there. Only one customer is allowed in at a time. Waiting customers must wait in their cars outside. I guess I will keep shopping around for another local barber. I would return to Vinny, in a pinch, but will continue to search a better value haircut. Oh, another reason I went to Vinny was because his shop was open until 6pm. read more

This is so uneven this isn't even funny. Asked for a medium skin fade and it's so uneven and patchy. Pictures don't lie. Don't go here for a skin fade. There were no mirrors to look at during the process which should have been my first clue. I tried to look at one when he was on the phone and he turned my chair so I couldn't. The conversation is what pissed me off the most. He went on to try to converse with me about how he believes dads in America shouldn't be stay at home fathers. I tried to stay silent (because that's not a conversation you have with a stranger) and he asked me twice what my opinion was till I finally gave it to him by simply stating I believe people should do as they please. There are plenty of stay at home fathers and that shouldn't be judged upon. It's their life not yours. He replied by disagreeing and continuing with that BS. Fuck out of here with your ignorant ass opinion. You should NEVER bring that in to your business keep it somewhere else. Could you imagine if a customer in his shop at that time was a stay at home father.... Not coming back should have realized it was only 13 reviews total not all of them with 5 stars... I'm back from my first cut with Vinny and am very much satisfied. Although today I came in with long hair down my back I'm no stranger to a quality barber. Vinny took his time and I walked away with a quality cut. His shop has a great vibe, is clean and he is friendly and personable. Even though Its been a couple years since I've had a hair cut my two school age sons have been getting their monthly cuts at other shops. We will all be going here from now on. Just found my new regular spot. Vinny is a perfectionist. He really took his time and the result was the best cut/trim I have had in a long time. He is a master with the straight razor and the decorations in the place make it seem like you are hanging out in an old school NY Bronx social club. The place is also really clean. Read the reviews, so I went to see if he could cut my hair like I want it. There was no other customers, so he had all the time in the world. I specifically asked him to use scissors, and not so much the clippers. Also told him that I needed my sides thinned out. After he took his time and showed me the finished look I told him that it was still too long and see if he could cut a little bit more. I guess he got upset and took the clippers and just roughly proceeded to cut most of my hair off, almost a buzz cut. When he turned me around I couldn't believe what I saw.
