Tina has been the owner since 2020 and she's continued to uphold the spirit of this landmark barber shop. She was very friendly and conversational! At first it's always awkward when I walk in to a new barbershop I've never been to, however once we got to talking I felt right at home! Tina provided a little history on the shop, I found out it's been in LE since the 1940's, wow! The shop had a classic feel but didn't seem like a stereotypical barbershop, it had unique features like a first responder wall full of patches and equipment. I also noticed some eccentric decor like a horse head sticking out of a seat. There's a couple of benches for visitors inside, however be aware that the waiting area is small and limited. Don't be surprised if you have to wait outside if it gets packed! I asked for a standard fade to evaluate the quality of the haircut I would get, I was very satisfied! The haircut was even, I didn't spot any mistakes. My haircut was about $25, with a tip it came out to $30 and some change. I'm so happy that this shop accepts credit cards and has TAP! I was so tired of all these other shops in the area asking for cash only! My visit was very convenient, I didn't have to wait at all! Tina sat me down and went to work! Parking was full outside due to other businesses so you might have to park a block down the street. Note: The shop is open 7 days a week!

First of all, if you're a male and you live within 30-40 miles of this guy and you're not getting haircuts from him, you are failing at life. Despite his lack of hair, he knows how to cut yours extremely well. In my last visit, I brought in my mop of hair I let grow for about 6-7 months. So I say to Vinny, "take this blank canvass and create a masterpiece". And in the fashion of Vermeer, Leonardo and Van Gogh he created that masterpiece I asked for. When I get my haircuts, I normally ask for scissors vs the clippers as I enjoy the texture scissors create and said that to Vinny. Then Vinny Looked upon me and said "Oh Ye of little faith!" and F***ING NAILED IT! If you want to walk about town and have people come up to you and say, "Gee fella! That's a swell haircut you have!" then go to Vinny. Seriously. Go. read more

I usually hate getting my hair cut. It's just a thing I usually like to avoid as long as possible because I never know exactly what to say to the barber and the end result is usually very meh. And I have never actually had a usual place to go to get my hair cut but Vinny is great! And I am now happily a usual there. Really relaxed environment. Which is great, because I can't stand the normal gossipy feel of barber shops or haircut salons. But most importantly, the hair cut is always great. I usually walk out of barbers thinking "Well I guess this is good enough" but now I actually really love the way it turns out. Great business. read more

I drove by a couple times on my way home from work, and decided to stop in on a whim after being drawn to the old school appeal. Inside, I liked the decor and overall design of the shop; I left with a nice, sharp haircut. I've been getting my hair cut here twice a month for going on two years now. I'm always able to stop by and get a fade and a beard trim, Vinny is a great guy and an even better barber. My hair is naturally challenging to cut, and not many barbers in town can cut African American hair!
