Another really great Italian restaurant right here in middlefield Ohio. Huge fan of the wings dry rub was ok a little spicy for me. I liked the Alfredo but it was a little pricey for me shrimp and scallops and you only get like 3 scallops for 30 bucks. Very delicious and really cool layout! The portions at Vinny's are massive and it is a huge value at their price point. To top it off, the food is delicious and some of the best Italian in the area. The servers are also very attentive yet blend into the background of the restaurant letting you enjoy the company of your party in peace. Vinnys was formerly a Wendy's restaurant but don't let that dissuade you. It was completely remodeled into a nice Italian restaurant, and I found it unique to see some of the "fast-food" architecture that remains as an Italian restaurant. After passing this restaurant many times we decided to try it. What a mistake. Italian restaurant? Asked if they had Chianti? No because no one ever ordered it. What? But there was Silver Oak on menu? Special was calamari. Pieces weren't even coated with breading and was very rubbery. Sent back. Ordered lasagna and chicken parmigiana. Lasagna was terrible. Sauce had no flavor. Tasted like it was in baking dish for days. Didn't even eat half. Chicken parmigiana breading so thick it hide the chicken. Breading wasn't even crisp. Chicken was moist but sauce was gooey and tasteless. Left lasagna and took one chicken breast but decided to throw in garage can on way out. Only good thing to say about Vinny's was the service. We came back to Vinny's and they once again have fettuccine for their fettuccine alfredo. (I noticed that JC's started carrying fettuccine alfredo when Vinny's dropped it. This spot offers safe pickup and delivery with ordering online. We've been here many times and everything has been delicious, especially the steak salad I got today. Let me start out with the important part. You're in Middlefield Ohio. Okay, if you're not aware this is a place that is not busting at the seams with generations of Italian Immigrants and their descendants. However, Vinny's could stand its own ground in Little Italy. It's very good. The only points off imho are for, well, I'm searching for reasons, and I guess it might be the atmosphere. Even that is really fine; pleasant, clean, decent and attentive service. All that said, I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. I've had the following and give each dish high marks... pizza, strawberry salad, roasted cauliflower soup, wedding soup, grilled chicken salad, and Italian sub. Terrible customer service. At 12:30 on a Saturday we were handed dinner menus. We stopped for lunch and were told they only serve lunch Monday through Friday. We were the ONLY customers in the place and they allowed us to walk out. read more

I'm from Detroit, and get go Middlefield twice a year. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. In Detroit, they could easily charge twice the price and still have a line out the door. Just great! Decor: Looks like they bought a shut down drive thru fast food restaurant and made it nice inside. All oak furniture, large booths, looks like they are building a patio. Service: Our server was super perky and friendly, but just ok. Interaction in kitchen shows the staff really cares. Cook was helping server in very constructive manner. Just had great feeling overall. Food: Off the charts! Antipasti salad BEST I ever had. Wife says same thing. Presentation best I ever saw. Flavor best I ever had. Dressing - better than my balsamic. Half order is HUGE. Enough for 4. I will copy presentation. We ordered the calzone. Large is big enough to feed 4 large, hungry teenage boys. Wish our server told us a small is large enough for 2 to share. Flavor: delicious! Toppings are unique and thoughtful. Dough is superb. Words escape me to describe how good this is. Stopped in for a quick dinner with the family, was welcomed and seated promptly with a steaming hot basket of buttery rolls. Blackberry mule was spot on, and the special "wild mushroom Alfredo" is the reason for this review. Easily one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had! This is our favorite place to eat in Middlefield! It is a wonderful little restaurant with such friendly and helpful servers. Once there was a drink on their seasonal menu that we loved and now when we ask they will always make it. The cassata cake is amazing! Came here for lunch. I ordered the salad on special it was the watermelon salad of some sort. Upon cutting into it I pulled out a long blonde hair (I have short black hair) I showed the server who as I was pulling it out. It was tossed into my salad. She apologized and said she would take it off the bill and asked if I can get me anything else. I ordered a different salad which was good. She also gave a dessert which we were not really interested in. When I got the check I noticed she charged me for my replacement salad. I asked her why and she said she would talk to the chef in charge. When she came back she said the best they could do was take half off my salad since she did take the other one off (the one with hair) so here I am an paying for a salad.
