Super dope wine venue that's much more than your typical bottle wine shop. So it's in a shopping strip mall area so there's free parking there. It's on toward the end of the shopping strip so it's not hard to find. You'll look at the building and there are some indoor and outdoor seats for you, and it's very neat and clean. Coming inside it's a lot bigger than what you would expect. They have a wall of wine, as they should, they have a back room where they do tastings, and not like four tables that are set up. They have like tastings and cooking lessons as well so there's tables and stoves and all sorts of things. They have a full kitchen with a kitchen menu that I hear. The fool was pretty good. I actually didn't try the food on the first time around because I just eaten and I just wanted to stop And to see what it was about because it's been on my list. When I went I sat at the bar and the bartender (Tay) took care of me. She was super cool and we had a good conversation. The bar has liquor there so it's not only wine. They have a very limited selection of liquor but there is liquor there. They have a cocktail menu, again. It's kind of limited, but they can pretty much make whatever you need. But the show the spotlight is going to be on the wine selections. Wish they had plenty of them. I was picking out a wine to try and she definitely helped and gave good advice and led me in a good direction. She was awesome. Now they have a wine club. This wine club is pretty good, so I may consider trying it. I'm already part of wine club elsewhere, but this one might be a little bit different. For the wine club you pay a price and you get about four bottles of wine, but you also get to do all of the tastings as well. You get the good a membership discount if you bring people in to dine-in as well. There's a lot that goes into it. There should be a picture of it in my review so check that out. Oddly enough, they also have trips that they go on for people who want to visit different wine venues. It's really surprising because that isn't a small thing to take group trips to some random part to sample wine. But if you're a wine drinker, and you have the the money to spend, this would be cool to be around like-minded people. They really have a lot to offer! I thought it was a really good random walk-in for me, I enjoyed it. My hub asked which of the pinot noirs our waiter preferred. She suggested the Belle Glos by Clark & Telephone 2022, he ordered a glass. When I tasted it, we ordered a bottle. It was stupendously delicious, probably the best pinot noir I've ever tasted and as thats one of my favorite varietals, that's saying something. This restaurant has a lovely spacious yet cozy interior, with a wine shop, wine school and a by-the-glass machine that allows you to get a taste (1 oz) or a glass of their finest wines by the bottle. I had experienced this marvel of a machine in Philly years ago and really loved having access to top wines by the glass or in a flight. Much fun, and discovered so many amazing wines this way. We ordered the Faux Poutine appetizer to share, he got the eponymous Vino Venue Burger as his entree and I got the Baby Kale & Roasted Pumpkin salad w cranberries, goat cheese and more. The Poutine blew me away. The meat was so tender and flavorful, the string potatoes so fresh, the gravy to die for, the cheese just right. Wow. Last Friday my best friend and I decided to try the Greek mezze cooking class they offered. Chef David was awesome and we went home with a few new tricks to utilize in the kitchen! At first I was a bit uncertain about what the $119 price for the class would offer, but it truly is a cooking class for the experience!! We were offered a small assortment of cheese & crackers before starting, as well as "bottomless wine" throughout the class. A station was set up for each "couple" to try their hand at a different dish or dip. My friend and I made all the chicken skewers! I can't stress enough that the class is more for the experience than walking out as a culinary master. We met some awesome people, left with our bellies full, and our minds relaxed with delicious wine. Literally, the best adult girls night for two mamas! We went to the Tuesday night Majhonng event recently. We were very disappointed in the level of customer service that was given to us. We asked for a wine recommendation from the server/manager, in which she chose a wine from the enomatic system. She failed to inform us of the difference in cost/ amount of wine poured. We mentioned that the amount listed on the menu as 1/4, 1/2 glass was deceptive due to not showing oz's. The up charge was $16.00, with most other wines listed at the $9 to $11 dollar range. Instead of apologizing, and trying to salvage a dissatisfied customer, she chose to be rather indifferent and unfriendly. read more

Even though I live so close to Vino Venue, I don't come here nearly as often as I should. I'm not a huge wine connoisseur but I do enjoy sipping on a glass or two with food or at a girls night in or out. I more recently got a chance to check out the Tapas Tuesday menu at Vino Venue and was pleasantly surprised by the $5 glasses of wine (Tempranillo & Rosé) and I really enjoyed the Gambas Al Ajillo (garlic shrimp). The shrimp were succulent and the flavors were outstanding. We also decided to try some items from the regular menu - the filet mignon and the Maryland crab cake. Both were pretty good, although nothing mind blowing. However, it was a hearty meal and I wasn't mad at all, especially for the price. I'm mad that I'm not here at least once a week - I'm going to start adding it to my happy hour/dinner rotation near home for a nice night out or a chill drink and snack. read more

The price ranges from $2-$3 for a sample and then increases if you want a half glass or a full glass. Amazing OTP find! I always say that Atlanta needs more wine-focused places. It is in a Kroger plaza in Dunwoody so plenty of free parking. My friend and I came on a random weekday afternoon. They were not very busy and we had basically the whole place to ourselves. We sat outside since it was a nice day, which was just a few tables set up in the plaza in front of the shop. We loaded $25 onto a card and there was an offer for $5 credit with yelp check-in, so we had $30. I wanna say each tasting was $2-4 so we were able to taste quite a few, at least 4 or 5 wines each. The wines are separated by red or white and poured out of little machines, and they had a section for more premium wines. This would be a fun place for an outing with friends or a date night! The restaurant serves as a place for meals, wine shopping, and event space. They have different specials on food and drinks everyday. We had great service and enjoyed the stuffed peppers and Brussels. Yum! We made a ressie for the patio. My only complaint is that for a wine space they don't do flights etc and Tastes and glasses are pricey for the location and chill atmosphere. 2oz pours are $5-6 and glasses started around $12. First off I want to say this review is only based on a cooking class not the restaurant. I hate writing bad reviews but I use Yelp a lot to help me so I want to help others make a decision based on my experience I had yesterday. My husband and I took the Pasta Sauce class for $55.00 each. It said we would learn to make 4 sauces and do so with a hands on experience. It ended up we only got to make one sauce (which we did not get to choose which one - basically who ever got there first got to cook that one). So we had marinara which we have cooked a hundred times and did not get to learn about any of the other three. The class says it is an hour and a half. It took each of us 20-25 minutes. All we did for our sauce was chop shallots and garlic and put everything in the pot. (Basically a child could do it.) We then tried each of the sauces with some noodles. The two cream ones had broken and were almost inedible. The class said we would also get homemade focaccia bread which was not there. I have taken many cooking classes and to say this one was the absolute worst is an understatement. The only saving grace was the wonderful group of ladies we cooked with and the wine we purchased separately. read more

Love the concept of having a prepaid card system to try a variety of wines in a large price range. Plus you get to choose if you just want a little taste or a bit more or a full glass of each choice of wine. Decor is modern, open yet warm. The servers all were super warm and accommodating too! Executive chef Patric Good is the mastermind behind the menu here and I'm really thoroughly impressed with the selections on the menu. We ordered several options from the first course selections, all outstanding but I truly wanted to lick clean the pimento cheese jar, it was that good and then some. Their signature burger was spot on, seasoned well and flavors melded perfectly and their jerk chicken was juicy and packed a great punch. Hubs and I attended a cooking class here this weekend - Global Cooking & Wine Pairing Series: Brunch in Burgundy. The cost was $74.99 per person. There was a small cheese and cracker station set-up for consumption before/during cooking. Otherwise, there were 3 tastings of wine served with the meal - a portion of each dish. There was no wine included during the prep/cook time so hubs and I purchased a glass. We tried to purchase a bottle of wine - but became discouraged by the $20 service charge that would be added. I found it odd to not allow us to drink a bottle of wine we were purchasing without incurring an extra charge, especially considering we were participating in an event which did not include it until 2 hours later. It was very strange to me. The menu for the event was the following: Burgundian Gougeres Croque Monsieur Quiche Lorraine Dessert Crepes The event consisted of 4 groups. I wrongfully assumed we would each be making everything somehow - or at least just our own food. This ended up being more like a pot luck. We were only making one of the dishes as were the other groups. And then we would all eat everything at the end. Hubs and I made the Quiche Lorraine. We were instructed to skip through much of the dough instructions due to time constraints. We ended up with a quiche with a raw dough because of timing issues. The chef also seemed to do a lot more for us than we would have liked. Understandably he was responsible for 4 groups so was likely trying to be efficient, but we would have liked to do more of the dough rolling and folding ourselves. The chef ended up doing 1 out of the 2 quiches we were doing. Most of my afternoon was standing around watching everyone else do things. There was a group next to us that needed to make a sauce and they needed a lot more assistance because it ended up like mashed potatoes instead of a gravy consistency. Perhaps asking if the guests understand the portion of the recipe before doing it for them would be good practice. My husband does a lot of baking at home and was looking forward to transferring the dough and forming it into the pan. The timing of the meal was also off which resulted in 3 cold items - all of which were supposed to be hot - and one hot quiche with an uncooked dough. I didn't eat much and ended up leaving hungry. I asked to take a slice of quiche home (as there were about 4 slices left over) and I was told it was not allowed. The reason was "because you might leave it in the car for 4 hours and then eat it. Sorry." Again - very strange to me but okay. I did not even care to press further. Other people wrapped up food in their napkins and shoved it in their purses - so I guess they knew we couldn't take any. The wine portion was great and really informative. The gentlemen was also around during the prep portion and was very friendly. The tastes of wine were generously poured. I really wish though we were offered at least a glass during the prep portion which was long - it really should have been included with a $150 brunch for 2. Overall, we had a nice afternoon, but neither of us were really blown away. Do not get me wrong, it makes for a neat outing, just do not have super high expectations for the food you will end up eating because of how this is structured. We will likely return for another class or event in the future, but will try some other places for cooking outings next. read more

They have wine stations that allow you to get a taste of a wine for a reduced price so you can try it to see if you like it. The burgers here are delicious and very juicy! They have shoestring fries so eat then quickly so they don't get cold. And they also have wine classes and cooking classes you can take here. The have the wine school of Atlanta. I took a Greek wine and food class last week and have to say I was disappointed. The event started late as they were having some technical difficulties, but the teacher was very knowledgeable, and we did taste seven wines, which would explain to us in great detail. My issue was with the an accurate description on the website. It said we may be served lamb meatballs, lemon chicken, and a charcuterie board. For $69 I would have liked to have at least some of that. All we received were two crackers ( yes, 2) with a piece of cheese the size of my thumbnail and 2 very tiny pieces of spanakopita with the first tasting of wine. After that there was nothing. But the teacher did make it a point to tell us how great all these wines would be with different foods. It would've been nice to get to try at least one or two other things The meet up group I was with they needed to go find someplace to have dinner after this was all over at 9:30 at night. After taking a wine class which was very enjoyable, I was very disappointed after dinning at this place. I was wondering why the restaurant was a bit empty for a Saturday night. The waiter assigned to our table was not friendly at all. Knew next to nothing about paring wines and hid in the corner of the bar, never asked to refill our water glasses, never checked back after the meal was served and we had to wait forever to get our check. For what you pay for a meal you would think they would train the wait staff to understand customer service and a welcoming attitude might make one feel they are getting their money's worth. They offer a full restaurant (no alcohol), wine from self serve machines, and cooking classes. My favorite is the wine from the self serve machines. You purchase a card and can load any dollar amount. Then you can decide how many oz of wine you'd like! It's fun! Came back today since hubby and I had the day off and needed a place to hang out while the maid cleans the house for the next four hours. They have fast free wifi and comfy sofas. We arrived at 2pm which is a limited menu but still includes a decent selection. The full menu is available at 5pm. We recharged our card with the handy Yelp offer of $15 for $20 of value. I already had a nice chunk of money loaded from my past visit so it was a great deal to add more value to my Enomatic card. Mark and I used the card to sample the latest collection that the owner has loaded into the enomatic machines. The current variety of wine is awesome. After sampling eight different wines we decided to purchase two bottles of Numanthia red wine from Spain. We also ordered the white bean hummus, a kale Caesar salad with grilled chicken and finally the burrata salad with roasted red and orange beets. Food and service were great. Amanda took care of us the entire four hours that we camped out. A really pleasant place to chill on a rainy day and work while enjoying good wine and food!! Update- 1-19-2018 Mark and I just had another awesome meal with great service! Chef Patric served Mark a five star burger that Mark considered one of the all time best of his life! I had the mushroom flatbread plus the fried ravioli. Mark also loved the iceberg wedge salad with the blue cheese dressing. We enjoyed the latest rotation of wines in the enomatic machines. We ended our dessert with the creamy caramel bread pudding with bourbon sauce. We also purchased two bottles of wine after sampling them. Great spot to host your next event! Came here for a company holiday party and hope that there will be more parties hosted here to attend in the future! I really liked the atmosphere- its casual but also nice, nothing too fancy, but rather an open concept. The service was superb, as they transformed the space to have seperate smaller eine refill stations aside from the main bar area. There was also an open faced kitchen where fresh horsedevours were being plated and served for the taking. Plenty of space to mingle- sit or stand- and it never felt crowded despite having an entire office & significant others attend. The charcuterie board exceeded my expectations for a venue hosting the masses, along with the other horsedevours being served around by the waiters. Had a great time in this space!
