Spanish tapas and lovely wines! A bit overpriced but still really enjoyable. I'd recommend for big groups and dates, and make a reservation beforehand if you can. I enjoy the wines, cheeses, and meats the most. It's a great place to come for a charcuterie board with friends.

A really nice wine bar in a central location. After getting off the train from London City Airport we were looking for somewhere we could chill while we waited on our Eurostar from St Pancs and we came across Vinoteca (hard to miss really). Vinoteca is large with a big seating area looking out to Kings Cross Station. We visited around 11am and it was relatively quiet so we were able to nab the prime people watching seats. We were also able to garb a beer at that time which was a bonus. The beer we were served was great. A nice Scottish Craft which went down all too easy before lunch. The staff were pleasant, serving us quickly and offering us food menus and wine lists. I would guess that this place would be busy at peak times being in such a great location. All in all a nice, classy place to have a pit stop while you wait for a train or connection.

All in All it was Excellent Located on the large Pancras square adjacent to Kings Cross St Pancras Vinoteca is known for having a good selection of wines and a menu with recommended wines for each meal. Frankly I am not a expert in wine having only begun to like the sweeter whites such as Riesling recently. However having been to the one in Smithfield I assumed that the atmosphere would be relaxing and good to catch up with a friend. The square was slightly bland and could do with some more trees and a water feature (maybe I missed this), but it was a nice day and it's comfortable to be out on such a good day. Initially I was dissapointed by the table they had given us having booked it. We were a party of three and the table was for two. We also realised that there was an outside area overlooking the square and since the day was very pleasant it would be better outside. A few words to the Front service staff and the waiter (I suspect this was the manager) got us a better table outside. Of course there is nothing wrong with inside as it has been decorated in a retro modern fashion which seems to be the norm these days. Starters were a cheese croquette and a meat platter with some bread. Acceptable and nothing to shout about. For mains we had the rabbit and the Bavette (beef from the abdomen or back) with horseradish and chips. I have never had rabbit before worried that it will be too gamey, however this was not the case. The beef was generous and medium rare as I wanted, the chips were tasty and the horseradish and watercress, a traditional touch, enhanced the taste. Ok, as I said I prefer white so went for this as opposed to the Red which is normally recommended. For a barbarian such as me it is no issue.. maybe one day I will get the pallette to appreciate Red but that day was not on then. Kings Cross has improved a lot having some new establishments and totally changing the decrepit image. Even though this means that it is rich corporate chains that gets hold of the various locations Vinoteca is a chain that has character and is well worth a visit.

I had some friends visiting, and they wanted to meet up for dinner. I kept seeing Vinoteca outside of King's Cross (as well as their other locations in London). Since my partner loves wine, I suggested it as a meeting place. As it was our first outing, and we had friends visiting, we opted to go for wines by the glass. However, they had an extensive wine list by the bottle with several good possibilities on there. I had a white wine from Portugal (amazing, I love Portuguese whites), and then a red from Portugal which was less so. But the Burgundy was fantastic. Food wise, we decided to share a cheese board and a meat board. My partner and I decided to get the special: A bone in rib eye to share. And it was massive. I asked for it medium rare, and it was a bit more rare than medium rare, but it was so freaking tasty I didn't care. The sides were also great, with some fresh horseradish and bernaise sauce on the side. For dessert, we all split the rosemary and buttermilk pannacotta, because we wanted to try it. We also got some Maury to drink as well. The Maury was less good than others I've had, but the dessert was fantastic. So all in all a good time was had, and the service was quite good. It's in a great central location, so I'm sure we'll be back to try some of the bottles of wine at a later date. On a side note, we were sitting indoors, but there is a huge outdoor seating area as well. There did seem to be quite a few smokers out there though, so just be wary of that.

This place is one part restaurant, one part wine shop and one part wine bar. If you are popping in for a wine then you can sit and enjoy the to-ings and fro-ing of surrounding offices and train departing tourists whilst catching some rays outside. Or of course you can sit inside at the bar or on a more casual table (because it could very well be raining). There is charcuterie, olives, nuts etc for your pre drinks/nibbles. The wine shop does takeaways, but you can always go in there and chose a bottle for your group (or just yourself no judgments). They have a varied array of bottles from everywhere- more on the £15 plus range. You won't find much on the shelf that isn't great all you need to do is talk to the girl or girl in the shop and they will guide you in the right direction as to what you may like. No need for an abundance of wine knowledge that's what they're there for. It's about a £5 corkage fee then on top of the shelf price of their wine to drink in or on Monday there's no corkage. Best to book. The restaurant is delicious and pretty unpretentious. The serving sizes are generous and for me it's a big ask to do an entree main and dessert. I would need to be rolled out. That being said there is a big emphasis on pretty fresh ingredients and there is a lot of veg and green throughout the menu. The steak is seriously popular and their seafood options are always great. My favourite thing they do, hands down, is the Mediterranean veg salad main. Sounds boring but it's amazing trust me. Their entrees are good too. The crab salad was great and the burrata salad was good but not what I expected and not to be ordered if you want to burst a large piece and see the creamy bits ooze out. The dessert was great. Tarts, puddings, pies, icecreams etc- all home style sounding but done perfectly. They also do breakfast and brunch on weekends! Decent coffee too... They have lots of wine events and tastings when winemakers pop over so go on their mailing list or following them on twitter...

    Good selection of wine

The service is extremely slow which meant we nearly left and went to another restaurant. We had to wait on average around 10 minutes each time we tried to get their attention which is why we ended up skipping desserts. The food is average, the beef was tough and a bit dry, the asparagus was lacking flavour and the side that came with the beef was very salty, which was very disappointing as I love potatoes. The only things we felt were 'nice' were the chips and rabbit pate... We had a starter, main and a bottle of wine each and it came up to around £45 each. Will not be returning.

I went here a few months back (Oct 2015) and was pleasantly surprised how quickly this area was redeveloped. It all looks so new and sparkly. The space inside the restaurant is just that. Fm very airy and spacious. It has a fab wine shop as you enter to the right too. Nice touch and all too tempting. The food was good, nothing spectacular but a lamb Barnsley chop with kale and potatoes were great. The charcuterie board was huge and I feel the portions were really good to match the price. Wine (white Riesling) was lovely too. All in all really nice. I think it would be awesome in the summer with its terrace too overlooking the new square. Defo one to visit again.

STRAIGHT TO THE POINT: Food: 4/5 upscale modern British Price: 4/5 reasonable for experience overall Atmosphere: 5/5. What do you expect? It's exactly indicative of the area. Well thought out. Good lighting. View of the kitchen. Industrial but hip. Wine: 5/5 for this type of place. As good as you will find. Service: Bartender was very knowledgable about wines and service was excellent and personable. Even to an out of tower southern boy like me:) Location: 5/5 if you are at St Pancras or King's Cross... It's perfect. Not on Euston St. Which is good. By the new theater. Very chick. BOOM!!!! And there you have it... Cheerio

Came here on a Friday night for a quick meal before heading off to meet some friends. A friend and I both opted for their deal of the month - bavette, chips and a glass of wine for £15. Now if this is your offer you should know tonnes of people will order it so therefore should have good quality steak but afraid to say both the steaks we had were far too chewy (this shouldn't be the case just because it is cheap otherwise it isn't a deal...). The steak was cooked well and charred nicely on the outside but the chewy bits let it down. I booked and we turned up a few minutes early. No problem as we were seated straight away however the service to order food and drinks was soooo slow, as was the time it took to bring the steaks (especially as they had informed me that WE had to be out for a certain time for the next booking). The chips that came with the steak were very good - they looked a bit pale and when I saw them my heart sank but they were actually very well seasoned and cooked. Along with this we got some fresh watercress and some homemade horseradish which was also very good. Unfortunately the sides to the meal were the best bit and the "deal" wasn't really a deal. The rest of their menu does look really good but I don't think I will be coming back for food in a hurry.... On the other hand their wine selection looks awesome so will be back for that!

A decent place for a meal or drinks (wine), especially on a day with great weather. The servers were very helpful and kind.

Very nice meal with a friend. The service was good and it proved to be quiet enough for conversation.
