Getting off the tube at St. Paul's on a Saturday evening you think you've just come up to a post-apocolyptic European city that still has its looks - the place is deserted. This is probably due to the fact that it's all business and financial buildings in the area and Saturday nights just aren't happening.
A quick jaunt down the road and you begin to hear the 1940s classics leaking out of the windows of a 3-story, dimly lit, wooden-floored establishment.
I was present for their Saturday Swing session and had an absolute blast. The 3 dance floors were perfect to mix up the mood during the night. The drinks were well-poured and the people well-mannered.
I would, however, like to see this place on a weekday...not sure it'd be so hoppin' - but then again, I bet a lot of suits go there for their lunch breaks, so probably not a bad place to go if you like, well, suits :) read more
