Definitely a nice place to grab some pub grub and well-made craft beer while sitting on the veranda overlooking the Wisconsin River. However, on our visit, it was rainy, so it was closed off. We sat in the corner, but there are plenty of seats at their full bar. They have an entire upstairs area that you can rent out for private parties. When I walked in, I noticed they have a cooler with their beers to go. I started off with a beer flight of five beers of some of their made here beers and guest taps. Our group of three ordered a turkey melt, shrimp bowl, and fish and chips. We also ordered the pretzel appetizer which the waitress forgot. The pretzel app and the fries showed up just after we got the main entrées. I do recommend the fish and chips because you get three large planks of haddock, but the fries are fairly average. Overall, the food here is between the 3 and 4 star range, beer is 4-5 stars. Interesting place outside, so stopped in to check it out. Great place; did a flight of beers. Staff were great. Very busy place and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. Had a happy hour. This location didn't seem that busy but the food seem to take a little bit longer than normal. Our server was very nice and friendly and made sure that we had our order correct. Solid burger. Stopped here after a hike and enjoyed a great burger with some excellent fries and live music overlooking the river. Top-tier service by the bartender (with a fantastic mustache) at the bar as well. All in all food was fantastic, the beer was cold, and the overall atmosphere had the potential to be 10/10. I have returned and will again. That being said, I did observe some other patrons being extremely rude to their server. Let me just say in a super busy restaurant with servers doing their best to make sure all patrons get their food and drinks in a timely manner there may be some mistakes - that's life. Do not be the person who makes their server burst into tears because they forgot one beer for your table. I just had lunch here yesterday with our eldest grandson. As usual the service was superb and the food delectable! I had the CBR wrap with their smashed red potatoes and a side salad. The portion was large enough for me to have my leftovers for dinner. My grandson had the fish sandwich and it was so big he couldn't eat all of his either. We both left feeling full and satisfied. We stopped here for some nachos and a beer tonight. I specifically asked for light on the beans as I do not like them and to have the jalapeños on the side. When our order arrived, it appeared, they added extra beans and there were no jalapeños on the side. I mentioned it to our waiter and said we would keep eating it since we were very hungry and in a hurry even though I was not happy about it. He did not do anything to try and resolve the issue. Sadly, let down significantly by the Vintage brewery for our daughter's wedding utilizing the 2nd floor. So many mistakes with the food and service. Nice people, excellent space, very poor execution. They've even admitted the mistakes and are incorporating changes to how they operate in a letter to us but their weak attempts at compensating us for the lack of appropriate service mean we'll never go to a Vintage again. We stopped in for a beer and lunch. Awesome views, great beer selection, and good food. We sat out on the back deck/patio that overlooks the river. They have a nice outdoor style bar where you can order. They also have an outdoor specific menu that focuses on grilled bar food (much smaller menu than inside). That food is made right out on the patio in a small outdoor kitchen area. Note there is no table service outside, it's casual order at the bar style. They have a smaller menu so we decided to order online off the indoor menu. Ordering online was super easy. We had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with their sidewinder fries. The sandwich was big for lunch so I was glad I split it with my husband. The chicken is very thick, I think it would be better if it was thinner but overall great flavor and very tasty. I love their sidewinder fries, they are a must order. I love that the patio is dog friendly. We brought our dog and many people stopped over to say hi. They even has dog treats up at the bar and a water dish. They have a big parking lot with plenty of parking spots.The inside looked nice and spacious. The bathrooms weren't great. They were small and the floor was sticky/dirty. Everything else inside was wellkept. The bar area looked really cool. I recommend stopping here and sitting out on the patio! read more

We saw this riding back to the campground and decided to stop for lunch. What a great find! Definitely recommend going here if you're in the area. Right on the Wisconsin river with great views and outdoor seating. The staff was so friendly and the owner came out to say hi and check how everyone was doing. Well that leaves the food to mention. All I can say is that it was very delicious ! We had the RIP Chicken with a chipotle peach bbq sauce on top of fresh coleslaw. I think we licked the plate:) The we also ordered a piece of the Lemon Mascarpone cake that had blueberries in the cake. Unbelievably sweet and delicious. We're so disappointed that stroganoff was removed from the menu. It was a crowd favorite and the main reason we brought guests to Vintage instead of other restaurants in the area. Everyone raved about the stroganoff! Burgers are great but there are a lot of places with great burgers. Now there's nothing really unique on the menu. Beer selection still good. read more

I'm a sucker for outdoor eating. We just happened to be in Sauk City and decided to check this place out. We sat at the back patio. Although cloudy, it was such a pleasure to eat next to the river and under the open sky. Our server was so very friendly, cooperative and accommodating. I was very pleased with our meals. My wife's salad was piled high with lettuce and vegetables along with very tender chicken cutlet. It was well breaded, nicely, crispy, and seasoned, and juicy. I loved my brisket burger. It was perfectly cooked, juicy in the middle, and piled high with brisket. I didn't know the waffle fries were sweet potato fries. Many places screw up the fries when cooking, but these guys did a great job. Drizzling honey on the fries elevated it to another level of tasty pleasure. I will always be ordering these fries when I go there! Overall, this is a great place to eat under the stars or just to be outside. We live in Middleton, but this place is worth the drive. read more

Cool brewery in Sauk City. Went there for lunch a after walking around the River walk. Sat in the bar at a high top with a view of the river. Had cheese curds - lightly fried, not oily - good chew. I had the blackened salmon salad - salmon cooked perfectly not too spicy, feta, strawberries, blueberries and candied pecans. Salad was lightly dressed. It was delicious. My cousin had the chicken and at first said it was so big but ate it all. Didn't have any of the beer as we had to drive after to events. After 30 mins I checked in and they kindly explain we were next and that some people were still at their table after two hours. Both the hostess and manager were super friendly. Soon we were seated on the deck overlooking the river. To start I tried one of their wheat beers - very good. For lunch I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with a side of tots - it was excellent. The fried chicken had good spice and was moist. I was afraid it might be dry but it wasn't. My wife ordered the salmon beet salad with apples and candied pecans. She loved it! Our server was very friendly and efficient. All the ones we selected were very different to each other and very tasty. We didn't want a full meal but went with an appetizer.
