We stopped here after biking / before hiking at Aztalan State Park and we're so glad we did! We picked up on friendly, hometown vibes the second we walked in. It was a great little hangout spot to rest & recharge. Food and beverages were available but we just had to order at the bar (no table service when we dined here which was perfectly fine). The IPA tasted more like a pale ale but hit the spot. The food was flavorful and hit the spot! Satisfying portions and yummy vegetarian options. We each ordered two tacos and shared a half pan of loaded nachos (we did the sweet potato vegetarian nacho option). There's limited indoor seating at the front and a larger seating space out back including an outdoor patio space that has tables with umbrellas. We sat out back indoors. The flies were bad but it's that time of year. There's a board game shelf, water station and lots of posters advertising fun weekly activities. I loved how kid/baby friendly the place was. They had high chairs and a changing table in one of the restrooms plus they offer kids eat free deals on Thursdays. We lucked out and came here when it was relatively slow. When we left, the bar was jam packed and while service moved it understandably slowed down. Our only regret was not purchasing a Sunshine Brew Co hat before leaving. Guess that means we will have to make a return visit one day! read more

You walk in to the warm yeasty smell of brewing beer and upbeat music (not so loud you can't hear yourself think). All the tables are high tops, there is a comfortable couch/ chairs area in the back room. The bartender is super friendly. We ordered the sheet pan nachos. We stopped for dinner around 5:45 on a Friday. It was steady with people but not packed. Being our first time, it wasn't clear where or how to order. Turns out, you just order at the bar and get your own table. We ordered a sheet of nachos, and it was recommended to get the half order. We waited 40 minutes to get our "half order" which ended up only being an 1/8 sheet pan. It was definitely not enough for two people for dinner. While it tasted alright, it didn't have much meat, the meat (carnitas) was very dry, and the whole pan was VERY overcooked. When a staff person stopped and asked how the nachos were, I said they were overcooked but we were hungry from waiting so long. His reply? "Yeah, it's hard when we're slammed. It might not look like it, but we are. Sorry about that." And, he walked away. We did too, still hungry, and definitely disappointed. read more

By far my favorite brewery and local place to visit. The beer is unique and tasty, especially if you like Belgian beers! (My personal favorite). Their beer menu changes as they brew different things and I love trying every one. You can't go wrong ordering the delicious food either! I find myself craving the carnitas loaded burrito on a weekly basis. Their pineapple salsa is out of this world and chicken tinga tacos hit the spot. This small little place packs big gigantic flavor! We loved it! The restaurant at our hunting club just outside of town was closed for renovation when we stopped for lunch and a quick search of the next town over (Lake Mills, WI) showed only a couple of places that were open at the time. We decided to try Sunshine Brewing Company. Everyone was helpful and friendly especially after we said it was our first time stopping in. It was a beautiful, sunny spring day in Wisconsin and SBC had the big bay door open in the back so you could sit inside or out. It was kind of windy but we sat just outside the door. The drinks and food were fantastic! We tried tried the chips and guacamole then Carne Asada Tacos (our favorite) and Carnitas Tacos also very good. These were meaty, juicy, delicious tacos packed full of flavor. We forgot to ask if they made their chips in the house they were great! For drinks my husband had the Pork Chop IPA on tap and I had the Mango Habanero Hard Seltzer, both good enough we ordered a second round! The seltzer was just as stated, mostly mango, with a touch of habanero for a hint of heat - so good! Thanks for a great lunch guys! read more

I had a nice visit at Sunshine Brewing today. I visit craft breweries as a hobby. Parking was very convenient. The establishment was very clean and character. I was served quickly. My bartender was kind and knowledgeable. I had a flight including selections of Belgian beers and a dark beer called Black Hole Sun which was smoky. I liked the beer quite a bit and impressed by the depth of selection. In addition, they had smaller brewery stickers on display for free, and excellent Wi-Fi that required a password. This would be enough for me, but they also had fantastic Mexican food coming out of their kitchen. I had a quesadilla with pork, rolled tacos with pork. Very very tasty and excellently cooked. Very satisfying for lunch. If I lived close by I'd come here weekly. Nice place. I'd recommend a visit. read more

The Beers were generally good, to style. This review is for their food. Surprised not to see much previous mention of how overpriced some Food items are. My husband ordered the Carne Asada Nachos, & was shocked that they were $26 for essentially a Dinner plate sized tray of Nachos. They were very tasty though. My Street Corn Salad's cost $10, was more reasonable, but it was lacking in flavor. It needed much more In the way of zesty flavors to remind me of actual Street Corn. read more

Wow...read a lovely review in Madison, Locally Sourced. This was not my experience. Ordered the sheet taco. You would need a microscope to see the steak. Maybe a tablespoon of crema. It costs almost $30. Wow. We were told that the menu had no prices because of market fluctuations!! The thing was totally overcooked. All the chips stuck together. A great new brewery right in the heart of downtown Lake Mills. Fantastic beers made right on site and always a few great guest taps as well. The bar up front is a nice upscale place to gather. And for less formal the back room has tables and shares space with the actual brewing floor. Also lots of table games and things to do with the family. read more

Bartender was nice and very informative about their selection of beers. It was a friendly environment with quite a few cross conversations happening between customers. The beers were really good. I had the Tripel 8 and the MPS 2.0, which is a stout. I left with a crowler of the Tripel 8. I wish they offered the MPS 2.0 in a crowler, I would have gotten one of those also. I visited around lunch on a Saturday hoping to try one of their tacos or a quesadilla, not realizing that the expanded menu was only on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. So from the limted menu I opted for the Bavarian Pretzel with cheese dip, it did not dissappoint. It was delicious and went well with the beers I was having. It was my first time here and will definitely return. The next time I will make sure it is on a day they are serving their expanded menu. read more

I've only visited this place once, but that is all it takes for you to get a good feel of where this company is going, am I right? Well, I will say this - they are headed in the right direction and certainly going places. To ensure I can provide a thorough review, I'd like to break it down into parts. Just so we can ensure that you "Get the picture" =) The environment: It is clean and quite spacious. They do have ambient lighting which I appreciate as it influences relaxation and tranquility. Now, I won't say it is a place to do Yoga (haha), but it certainly does have an element of charm that if the walls of that place could speak - they would express the passion that went into building this business. Am I getting off topic? Pish posh, I a merely romanticizing my experience to give you a better understanding of what this place does to a persons well-being =) But of course, the beer: I appreciate the balanced list of beverage selections this brewery has to offer. Most breweries I have been to display a scroll of choices, which to me isn't the most attracting. I guess, those who have been in business for years develop several styles of beer, but come on - keep it to a minimal. Anyways, as I was saying - the selection provided by Sunshine Brewing is fantastic and not super long. There are all kinds of beers that can soothe every palate, so be sure to give all of them a try. I would go into detail about each and every beer choice you are given, BUT I will leave that up to you. Staff: The Bartender, which I believe was the Owner, is great! Very attentive and friendly. I admit to my bias as the owners are long-time friends and I belong to the beer club, but even if I wasn't, I would still say this small brewpub has a friendly, start-up vibe and has already become a real asset to the community. The beer is unique and if you like Belgians especially you need to check them out! There is an event space in back that has been used for parties and is also used for music, paint and sip, open card games, and so many other things I can't even keep track of. They don't sell food but always get a great food truck when a crowd is expected. During the South Main Street construction, you can park and enter in the back. Great beer and great food! We stopped here on our way back from Madison to Chicago and were really pleasantly surprised. The carne asada tacos and guac were both great (they were specials at the time) and the chicken burrito was excellent. Loved the Orange You Glad It's Summer and Livin' Easy beers.
