Awesome event/ experience, totally the cost I think was $80 I would highly recommend their events on eventbrite , if their spirit interests you. I live in Lake Balboa and have been a customer at Vintage since they were the Wine & Liquor Depot. I've always been grateful to have a store in my neighborhood with a wide variety of options and a knowledgeable staff. Unfortunately, tonight I had a bad experience at the store. I usually go there for craft beers. But a couple months ago I stocked up on some white wines. One of them described itself as light and crisp on the back of the bottle, which is in our taste wheelhouse. Well, we've had the bottle for a couple months and when we opened it last night it was a deep golden brownish color and the nose immediately let us know that the wine had turned. I poured the glass back in the bottle and put it back in the fridge. This evening I came into Vintage with the bottle and saw two staff members. One of whom I'd dealt with multiple times. They were watching the World Cup game on their TV monitor. I greeted them with a friendly hello and inquired about the game. Then I told them that I'd purchased a bottle of wine that had turned and asked if I could be credited. I didn't have the receipt but I'm on their points program and I knew they'd have a record of the sale. The person I'd dealt with before shot a look to their co-worker as if it was an odd request. But the look on their faces said they thought I might be trying to get something over on them. They went on to let me know that they have a zero return policy on alcohol. I told them I understood but that they sell expensive wine and surely if someone spent a lot of money on a bottle and it had turned that they would take the product back. The response I got honestly made me feel like they didn't understand the concept of a wine "turning". They suggested it might be accommodated in the form of wiring me money but it needed further approval. I told them to forget about it. To keep my wine and the money. It wasn't the money it was the poor customer service. I paid for my beer and left. I wouldn't have minded them getting clarification from a manager on the issue. But the vibe that was given back to me was that my request was not legit. Earlier I said that I appreciated their knowledgeable staff. But there has been some turnover in recent months and the people I used to rely on for suggestions haven't been there in quite some time. If your staff is educated enough to know the zero-return policy they should be educated enough to know that some wines go bad and that customers aren't being difficult for returning the bottle. Sadly, they've lost my business. read more

I stopped in here last night for the first time and I liked the inventory. The clerk asked if I was looking for anything in particular. I said "Yamaguchi 12...something like that." I feigned a little ignorance just to see the kind of help I'd get. He immediately said Yamazaki 12 and I said yeah that's it. He pointed that out in the display case along with the 100 anniversary Yamazaki 12. Now I already knew that, due to inflated demand, the 12 sits around $200-$230 when retail is like $120. I know a liquor store where I could get it for $220. But I've also seen a liquor store carrying them for $330. When I asked how much either of the 12s were, this clown said with a straight face, "$500 each". Seriously? I had to chuckle, thanked them for their time and left shaking my head all the way out at the audacity. I'm not trusting this place after that ridiculous exchange. Too bad. I was excited to find Vintage Wine & Spirits as a distillery for a Tequila I was looking for said they sell their product. I went online and sure enough it was there! I ordered it and a few other items, and next thing you know...crickets....for about 5 days. Decided to swing by and see what the issue was. Turns out half of what I ordered wasn't in stock, but they assured me it would be on its way in a week or so. Well that never happened. When I was there I decided to pick up a few things. At the register, I realized my total was a lot more than I anticipated. It turns out they had mispriced one of the bottles I was purchasing. It was more of a stocking the shelves issue where the reposados were under the blanco tag, Anejo's under the reposados, and XA under the Anejo's etc... Though they saw the pricing issue, the in-store staff said that none of them had the ability to price match the error and to reach out to their customer service. After tons of emails back and forth and weeks that have passed discussing the original order issue, being updated with cancellation of my original order, and the error in pricing, they have still yet to act in good faith or be considerate of my time & energy as a consumer. They offered me a 10% discount on future orders which is laughable since they offer that to all new customers online. Pathetic experience from start to finish. The place is nicely updated and they do have a fair selection of spirits, but I don't think I could have had a worse experience from start to finish. read more

They have you wait around for 15 mins while they scramble to find your pickup order, then send out some guy named Brian to rudely tell you to cancel the order. This is a very nice store with an excellent selection of spirits. I was there on a hot day and was looking for something specific so I didn't take the time to explore the entire store (and didn't even look at the wines) but the liquor selection was nicely presented, well organized and every bottle was spotlessly clean and displayed in a pleasing manner. I was offered assistance as soon as I came in the door and the 2 employees I interacted with were pleasant and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, they didn't have the bottle I was looking for but said they could order it by the case and the one employee checked an app and found it offered by another seller that did mail order. While trying to find the bottle I was seeking, he pointed out some similar products and I noticed a couple of other brands, one I had tried and another I hadn't even heard of that might have filled the bill so I will definitely be back. My sister lives closer to this shop so she will be checking it out, as well. I would really rate this store a 4.5 , due to the excellent service from the employees I encountered there. read more

I have been their customer for 35 years ! When Mark and his father owned the place, they had the best whisky selection outside Britain. They had a episode in BBC for their selection. We were primarily buying wine from them. Once in a while I would shop for a Whisky for a friend's Birthday. They had so many vintage Whiskies that designated for a specific year like 1958, 1960 and so on. More we got into wines and got involved in high end stuff and found out they sold the shop, we did not go there anymore. Retirement and COVID made me start thinking about Scotch. So I really got into history and tasting of Scotch. I started collecting. I thought of this place remembering their selection. I visited them when I was driving by. The place looked like it was closed. Their hours in the Internet showed they were open. I refused to give up so I called someone answered. He said just knock on the metal door. He opened the gate and apologized mentioning they were in the middle of remodeling. I asked about a rare Scotch he said how many do you want? I was blown away! I proceeded asking him about other rare stuff. And he said how many do you want? I was flabbergasted. So I went back bought more rare stuff that you cannot find them ANYWHERE. And I mean ANYWHERE! I love this place. They do not advertise what they have but believe me that have some rare bottles of hard liquor that no one offers. I was hesitant to leave this comments being concern that other people would buy the good stuff before I do. But they deserve it. Good job Wine Depot! read more

I used to to travel across the valley to shop here , it was out of my way, but worth it. I went not only for the selection, but they used to have the best deals in town. Whenever the buyer got a deal, they would just psss the savings on to the customer. I could get the half bottles of whistle pig for half off, no other store would do that, it was incredible. Now, with the new ownership, the prices are much more expensive, it makes me sad, but I doubt I'll be back. RIP WINE AND LIQUOR DEPOT. read more
