Our backyard fence was old and dilapidated, probably put up sometime shortly after the Spanish American war. We decided that it needed to be replaced, had received a flyer from Vinyl Concepts, and called them. John, the estimator, came out and evaluated our situation, and gave us an estimate that we thought was fair. We had our gardener remove and haul away the old fence, which was not only dilapidated, but also badly termite damaged. The.VC Crew came out the morning before Thanksgiving, and installed the new fence. They did a fabulous job, and we are very pleased with the outcome. Firstly, I previously contracted this company a while back to put up a front fence and we have been very pleased with it. BUT, due to the windy, rainy storms this year, the cap on one of the posts broke. So we called them and asked if they still had the cap needed. The woman , who answered the phone, told us yes. So we drove over to the store and tried to pay with our credit card (the price was about $ 15.00 dollars+ tx) she then informs us, "no credit cards or checks, only cash." A week or so later, we go over there again with $20 in cash. Then she tells us she doesn't have any change and now we have to drive around the block over to another building for the change. Her customer service is/was careless and rude. So, if you go there, be sure and bring the EXACT amount in CASH. She should have told us cash only, exact amount on the phone. Took hours to accomplish a simple fix. read more

Vinyl Concepts came highly recommended by my sister where they did a beautiful job on their backyard fence. Everyone was very easy to work with and very accessible. They use only a very high quality vinyl product compared to a few others we considered. We decided on vinyl because of the zero maintenance required, unlike wood. John Ochalek first came to our home to measure the property. We have a tricky property line shared with two neighbors on the back slope that has uneven terrain. He was very knowledgeable about how to negotiate around one of the two neighbor's fences that declined to replace the broken down portion we share with them. We had no choice but to build part of the back fence in front of the shared portion. John came up with the most aesthetic looking plan possible. Thank you, John! George, one of the great supervisors with many years experience with fence installs was in regular contact with us since Covid caused some interruptions in install date. It was so worth the wait! Gilbert and his great crew were professional and exceptionally hard workers. The beautiful gates and fence transformed the look of the property on the front and back of the house. Also, the locking latch that comes standard with the gate is superior to standard ones. We are soon to landscape the back slope with ground cover and flowering bushes to complete the look. Included are photos before, during and right after job completed. The old fence was rotted wood, as you can see from the photo. Because of their experience, they were able to overcome a couple of difficult terrain/propertyline challenges. The end result is, we are so happy with the beautiful transformation! Starting with Art in sales, and straight thru installation, Vinyl Concepts is professional and friendly. But most importantly, they do fantastic work at a fair price. Had a pleasant conversation in the office about fencing. They came out to measure and give us an estimate. THAT. WAS. IT. NEVER heard from them again. And they did the same to my neighbor. Have no idea why, but after calling twice with no reply (as well as email), we went elsewhere with a company that has gone above and beyond to help us with our needs. And, the new company is less than the guesstimate the man gave my husband when measuring. Can't actually say new company was less expensive; however, seeing as they return calls and answer each an every email makes them way more valuable. I would have liked to have done business with them as this would have been the second time (first was at a different house and it was just fine), but for some reason, we never heard from them again. read more

We Love Our New Vinyl Gates! They were worth the wait. We called in July, scheduled an appointment for an estimate, liked our price and put in our order. We needed to wait a few extra weeks because of the Covid interruption. During that time we made some changes and then changed those, lol! It came time to replace our gates. There are a lot of companies to choose from. I narrowed it down to two and had them both come out and give me bids. Vinyl Concepts won. Their estimator Edgar came out and was super helpful. I wanted to cutback a wall since the old gate existed before a remodel that added a fireplace that interfered with the gate. They removed a section of a block wall and he suggested the best way to cover the end of the wall that would appear unfinished after the section was removed. Jonathan who scheduled the appointments was so accommodating. My schedule is difficult but he was so great at working with my time windows. Their price was very similar to the other company but their professionalism and years of experience surpassed them by far. I know they will still be here down the road if I need them. The installation team worked very hard removing the wall and installing the gates. There were a couple of minor aesthetic issues afterwards that I wanted changed. They cheerfully and promptly returned and resolved them. This is how you know you have a great company, by their response after the job. All around it was a very positive experience. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them. They ended up doing a large job for my neighbor afterwards and her job was great as well. read more

UPDATE 4/23/21: I'll be the bigger person and not lower my rating after this poor response from the business owner since my gate is still standing. Note its been a month since I posted and no one ever responded until this owner update. AND no i did not receive any status calls FROM ANYONE about the 2pm time change and don't try to cover the fact that your "experienced" crew had to take the fence down since they failed to put concrete and rebar in the first place. I myself don't like writing reviews since its a waste of time unless companies show remarkable service or just poor service. I have many more 5 star reviews than 1 star. However, once my gate fails, I'll update my rating to the 1 star you probably deserve. read more

We replaced two exterior gates and are sooo happy with the quality of workmanship to fabricate and install the gates. They are reasonably priced as well! They make these vinyl gates extra strong and less likely to warp by reinforcing the inside of the gate with metal bars! We didn't find that with any other vinyl company! Overall good value for price. Initially the estimates were very confusing to sort out in part because I have two neighbors and had to choose different color fencing. But there was also calculations that were off which I had to point out. It took awhile to confirm between the estimator in some part due to my neighbor needing to check the color in person and we had to wait for the sample to be dropped off. The day of install the color actually ended up darker than the sample and my neighbor was really unhappy. Luis the installer though was really great and efficient and was able to make one of the odder shaped sections of the fence look great. read more

I had a shared fence and my own gate done. My issue was I had a newly paved driveway which I was assured by Art it would not be touched and they are professionals. The crew of 2 came and backed into my new driveway. I again said this is a new driveway and to please be careful when doing the job. they reassured me it would be fine. They were also doing a shared fence with my neighbors neighbor and never left my driveway once they finished the work on my side. they kept telling me they would move but didn't. i had to leave a little early and they said they would have it all cleaned up. I was so upset returning to a complete mess and stains on my pavers which was never covered or protected! So disappointing and put my trust in them. They took a week to return back to clean up the areas the best they could. this should of never happened and my pavers still have never looked the same. The mess they made was inexcusable! The fence and gate is fine but the price I paid was more than the money and shouldn't have affected my driveway. Dont understand how they could of felt fine leaving this job this way. Absolutely HATE companies that waste my time because they are flakey. I call to schedule an appointment on a Friday, and received a text on Monday to schedule with a guy named John O. Okay, so no phone, they prefer text (which I find lazy and I personable), and we agree to an appointment time of 2pm that same Wednesday. 48 hours later I take off from work and drive home from Santa Monica to a no call no show. After waiting around for 30 minutes, I decided this place is just to shady to do business with and leave to go back to work. I don't recommend this place, as they clearly do not appreciate or value their customers. read more
