This was horrible experience. We paid a lot of money for a fence and did not get what we hoped for. 1. Their equipment broke down and they wanted to charge us more for them having to dig holes by hand. If your equipment breaks, I am not the one who is responsible to fix it. 2. They never filled in the holes and had me do it. $10k for a fence and I am filling in the holes? 3. They didn't know how to make sure an 8' gate is secure. They used rubber tubing to put the lower steaks down. Obviously the wind blew it open and bent all the hinges within 2 days of them "finishing" the job. 4. My fence was installed in October of 2021 and it has already seen shifting in the posts and I have already needed to replace a panel because of their horrible job. All my other neighbors fences are solid and don't move a bit. I am thoroughly disappointed in the service. I am not the type to leave a review, but I am so unhappy with what I got that I feel that I must let everyone else know to not do business with this company. read more

Poor poor service experience with the General Manager!! Called to finalize payment for installation of a fence. Was concerned about what I needed to pay as twice I've walked my property with the company. Once during the estimate and once when they started installation. The company still fenced part of neighbors property that wasn't shared with my property line. I was told by the General Manger it's still my responsibility. Was questioned how I know where my property ended and was told I'm not the expert. They ended up not charging me for it. However, the way I was treated was unacceptable. You should always take time to listen to your customers and that didn't happen. I live in a brand new sub division and some neighbors have asked who I used to install my fence. I will no longer recommend this company based off my poor service experience today! read more

There's a reason that VFC has horrid ratings: they lack professionalism in every interaction, including installation. They believe they do everything correct when in reality, they don't listen to instructions and refuse to fix anything. I am being threatened with a lien because I cannot ethically pay for a gate they built that was done wrong from the beginning. I hope the Better Business Bureau of Utah continues to monitor their practices. Stay away people. read more

I returned to use them for a fence install. Did not show to a scheduled appointment and when given the opportunity to make it right they made no attempt. Acted as if me taking 2 hours off my work day was no big deal. Plenty of better companies read more

Where to start.. First off, after calling the day before to confirm what time they were going to arrive , I took time off work because they said I had to be there before they started. They said they would be here between 8 and 830 am. At 11 30 I finally received a phone call letting me know they were going to be late. They didn't show up to get started tearing out the old fence till 3pm. The next day they came and put the new poles in. 2 weeks later (1 week later than quoted) they came back and installed the panels. They left 2 old fence posts with concrete , laying in my neighbour's yard for a full week after being called and asked to come get it. I called and complained the latch they put on the gate couldn't be locked from the inside,, was told that's the only latch they had. They still hadn't put 1/3 rd of the post caps on, and called wanting payment. Told them I wouldn't pay till the job was done, 3 weeks later they left the caps in my mailbox and called wanting payment. What a joke. read more

Having issues with post caps coming off. Per woman in office, this is "our" problem, not theirs. After spending over $6,000 on a single N/S fence along one side of property , it seems a weakness issue with the fence itself should be addressed by fence company. We were told to "glue" them...that "gluing might solve the problem." That if it doesn't solve the problem....oh well. Nice customer service. I have never written a review online but my experience with this company has warranted it and my job isn't even complete. They were more than happy to get me a quick quote and take 50% of the money to start the project, however, it's been nearly a month and I'm still waiting for its completion. It's not the delay in the project that has me reviewing them though, it's the awful customer service. My rep is rude and short and when I asked if I could speak to the owner I was told he was one! If the owner of the company can't bother with customer service why would I expect it in anyone else? I live in a new neighborhood, with large yards, where several neighbors are asking about which fence company I used, so they can get quotes, and I've told them NOT to use Vinyl Fence Connection. Wish I'd chosen differently. And I wish my job gets done before the summer is over. read more

This is my first review as well for any company but felt others should know about this company. To start, had a salesman come out pretty quick to measure and give us a quote. We needed a few different quotes because of different materials but once our decision was made Taylor gave us our start date and we gave our 50%. The crew came out a few weeks later on the decided date and set all the posts. They do everything with this big bobcat to drill the holes but will only drill where it is easy. We have panels that are 6' apart up to 9' apart. I came home early (and it was a good thing) and found they had drilled through a main line for the sprinkler system and couldn't find the shut off. I shut off everything and was instructed to wait a day before fixing. We found 3 lines broke but that's understandable because that's where the posts needed to be. What we weren't expecting was our 1 year old colored and stamped curbing cracked and crushed everywhere they had their bobcat. My wife called Vinyl Fence Connection the next day and Stephanie the "office manager" told her that was not their responsibility because they hire sub contractors to put the actual fence up. She said we needed to contact the sub contractor and work it out with them but when asked for their number we were told she would contact the sub contractor. We were never called. Taylor was out of town till Monday and I spoke to him that morning explaining what happened. He told me he was going to get hold of Jeremy speak to him about resolving the situation with us.. We were never called.. A week later while we were at work they came by to install the fence and without consulting anyone, decided to fix all the cracks 15 of them with some off colored mix that almost made it worse and has since been washed away from the sprinkler system. This was like an insult to our intelligence. We were to say the least upset and again called Taylor who came out and looked at the damage and agreed it was excessive took pictures and said he was going to speak to the owner of Vinyl Fence Connection and call me by that Friday. He never called. Taylor acts as if he has your back but plays both sides of the fence. Not one time in all the times he said he was going to call me back did he, I always had to call him and without fail he was just getting ready to call me.. Vinyl Fence Connection "will not" take responsibility for any of this we can't even talk to the owner about the situation he will not give us the time of day even after Taylor told my wife the owner would be more than happy to speak with her.. It will be a month on July 28th since the fence has been up and we have had to get a lawyer involved. I can't stress enough that you would be better off paying more from a company that cares about their customers than saving money with Vinyl Fence Connection. read more

I should mention that they finally did honor their original quote, but it took negotiation on my part.

The quote seemed really low compared to others, and it was a lot closer to us than the Lehi fence places, so we went with them. We got our invoice and paid off about $1900 which was the original quote. Once that was paid we got several "revised" quotes, costing us several hundred dollars more. We installed ourselves but they still listed us as tax exempt for some reason until the very end where they charges us over $100 more for taxes. They wouldn't make more than 2 deliveries even though the others were there errors (not giving us the right posts and forgetting to make a gate.) Did I mention they FORGOT to make our gate. Not sure how that happens, but I will not recommend them to anybody. read more

Getting someone out to get a quote was fast. Within 24 hours someone was over to walk the yard and get a number back shortly after. But then the wait to have the installers out was a joke. They pushed back my SCHEDULED appointment twice because they was "super swamped". Once the installers came they wasted no time and had it done very quickly and done right. Almost a year later I've had two spots where the slats have separated almost an inch so I called for warranty work. They wrote up a repair order that is dated and in all caps it's written they have to fix it within 7 days and no other work will be scheduled until it's fixed. Well it's been 57 days today! I've called Stephanie Renken every week and it's the same answer "we're super swamped" but guarantee it will be done this week. Over all good quick install, friendly staff that's mainly teenagers with an adult but still still did great work. If you're impatient like me don't use these guys but they will do a good install. Just wish they'd stick to their commitment on dates better. read more

This company is HORRIBLE!!!!I wouldn't even give them a one star rating. They lied about everything. We paid to have our old fence taken out. No conditions were stated when they came out to give us a quote. Then they proceeded to leave all the T posts when they removed the fence. When we called and complained that they didn't remove the whole fence and they said that they do not remove T posts. One of the T posts they left was actually cemented in with one of the posts they installed. They also broke some of the old wood posts off and left the bases and never removed them, even after we complained about that. They threw dirt all over our grass and didn't cover up the holes they dug. We had to call to get them to do that. They put an 8 ft gate in instead of a 10 ft gate and the only reason it was changed was because I went out to check on their work. The guy putting it in refused to change it because it was not on the work order, but then decided to after I threw a fit. Because of this the fence posts aren't spaced evenly. We complained about that and the co. told us that they would take care of it on the final bill. When we got the bill, they did not discount for it. When my husband complained, the co. told him that they had given us enough discounts. They told us that the job would take 2 weeks and it took 3 months. They had every excuse in the book on why they were taking so long and the only reason they did it that fast was because we called them weekly to find out where they were. They told us that satisfaction was guaranteed, but yet again they lied, because they DO NOT CARE if you are happy. They are liars and cheats. Please save yourself and steer clear of them. I wished I had checked the BBB before I got them to to the fence for me. read more

warning to customers: do not go through this company. they may sound nice up front but they are all about the $$$. we paid the final payment after our fence was installed and was informed they didnt want our business because we questioned on how they installed the posts. this company has some major issues on customer service and communication. read more
