I was the neighbor next door. During installation my sprinklers were damaged. At the time bear creek took the parts with the promise to replace. After the fence was complete, we exchanged several text messages. I replaced & repaired the sprinkler lines & heads bear creek damaged during the fence installation. I tried hard to work with Eric, but I was blown off multiple times. He said he'd email and he didn't. He said he'd show up and he didn't. I called twice to confirm an appointment with him and he said yes he would be at my house for the appointment. I took the day off and waited and waited. When I called him he seemed to not be aware he should be at an appointment and then told me he's been too busy to keep up. This was for a small job, but we were intending to do wrought custom iron around our entire property in the spring with our remodel and clearly our business or time didn't mean much to him so we'll find another company. Treating your customers like their disposable isn't an upstanding way of doing business and I refuse to trust someone with a job of any size if they don't value me. read more

The reason why I cannot give it a review on the quality of their work is because their customer service is so awful that I can't even get them to return my phone calls. I always think that customer service starts with the very first phone call of which I can't even get one. Unfortunately for us after reading the reviews for this company on Yelp we went ahead and trusted Bear Creek Fence to install our fence. It is now obvious that all these 5-star reviews are either paid for, from family & friends, or it is more likely that the bad reviews that should be here "took the deal" he is trying to offer me to not leave a bad review for their poor craftsmanship. There is no way that this company can maintain a 5-star review with the fences they are installing! Especially, if you have a problem with their work and then must deal with the arrogant owner, Eric who will refuse to even think about fixing anything that is unacceptable. The fence built for us by Bear Creek Fence is unacceptable because of the company's failure to plan, carelessness, and rush to finish the job. On both sides of my house, on two separate intersecting corners, the fence is at a minimum of 4" off the height from the adjoining fence. On one section it is 4 1/2" off the ground the entire 55' section where my original fence had no problem butting right to the ground. On the other side of my house it is 8-10" in the ground. This fence is not even close to satisfactory for the money we paid for a quality fence! At the completion of the job, I had Eric come over to go over some issues (i.e. The height difference) I had with the fence, instead of agreeing with me that it could be better he argued with me (in front of my kids) for TWO hours trying to convince me how great it is and how exactly to his contract it is. It is not even close to the contract. Well, it isn't! At the end of the conversation instead of working with me to fix the issues he asked to get paid in full or he was going to lien my house. What a joke! If the poor-quality fence wasn't bad enough the joy of dealing with Eric to try to get him to stand behind his company's work is even more ridiculous. After arguing with him some more I went ahead and paid him because he said that he would arrange to fix the issues. Well, what I didn't know was that the only way he would fix the issues with the fence is if I sign a contract saying that I won't slam him or his company online, and we would have to give up our warranty. Just by him saying he will fix it if I "sign the contract" is Bear Creek Fence admitting there is an issue that needs to be addressed. I have three other neighbors I share this fence with and giving up the warranty is not going to happen, nor is signing anything so he can avoid feedback. Bottom line... It is now October and the fence was installed in July. I gave Bear Creek Fence over three months to fix this issue before posting a negative review. Now, after dealing with his attorney and Eric's refusal to admit the issue, I have now decided that it isn't worth it any longer. If you didn't want a bad review YOU should have installed a proper fence, or at least fix it when the customer is unhappy. I hope your customers will heed this warning and stay away from your company! Shortcuts and cost saving methods that will take place when you use this company. 1- They will NOT use metal brackets to make the fence sturdier. 2- They will NOT mix the concrete prior to dumping it into the hole to make sure it is mixed thoroughly. 3- They will NOT use screws to keep the boards from coming off over time because "it takes too long to screw them in." 4- They will not plan before installing! read more

I got quotes from three other places before settling on Bear Creek. Not only was their quote pretty reasonable, but they worked with ALL materials - wood, vinyl, metal. Also, Eric Nichol was great to work with. When he did the quote, he was looking out for aesthetics and actually trying to find a way to fence our property in a way that looked good with our landscaping. We researched for a month or so on which company we should use to put up our fence, we meet with a few different companies and talked to several friends and neighbors about who they used when it came time to install their fences.....Hands down the name we heard the most was Bear Creek Fencing. I spoke with a gentleman named Ken who made a fast appointment with me, he showed up on time measured the property and gave me a step by by step process on how the fence would be installed and how long it would take to get done. I was then instructed to call a guy named Eric who would be my project manager and the one to answer further question. To make a long story short Eric was an awesome guy and always answered my calls or texts. It took about a month from start to finish to get the job and done and I couldn't be more happy with the finished project. My wife and I had Bear Creek Fencing & Backyard install 140 feet of cedar wood fence around our backyard. I was traveling a lot at the time and did not do a lot of research or price checks before we hired them. Our fence is pretty mediocre for the price we paid, and I am disappointed by the quality as a whole. The wood is bending and cracking in many places, and when we inquired with them, they said it was normal and couldn't do anything. The issue is, the extent of damage is not normal. We will be contacting Home Depot to resolve, since the owner has made it clear he does not care. read more
