Hamid and Brianna were by-far the most professional, informative, and honest folks I encountered at any of the places I went.

I had a very disappointing experience with CarMax from start to finish…read more After purchasing my vehicle, I was told by the service department that it would be ready on a specific date. When that date arrived, the repairs were not completed, causing an unnecessary delay. Once the vehicle was finally ready, I was incorrectly told that I needed to obtain a physical check from my bank before taking delivery. My bank does not issue physical checks, which CarMax should have known. To make matters worse, I was given this information after the bank had already closed, creating another avoidable delay. Because the repairs could not be completed before I took possession of the vehicle, I was given documentation and told I had 30 days to have the remaining repairs completed at no cost to me. However, when I contacted the service department to schedule the repairs, I was told I would have to pay Tesla out of pocket for the parts and then seek reimbursement from CarMax afterward. That is not what I was told when I accepted delivery of the vehicle, and it is unacceptable for customers to receive conflicting information depending on who they speak with. On top of everything else, I was promised that $250 would be waived due to the delays in receiving my vehicle, but that never happened. The biggest issue throughout this experience has been the lack of communication and consistency. Different employees provided different information, commitments were not honored, and I was left to sort out problems that should have been handled by CarMax. Purchasing a vehicle should be an exciting experience, but instead it was frustrating, stressful, and unnecessarily complicated. I expected much better customer service and professionalism from a company of this size.

Paint color on the passenger's side from the front to the quarter panel in the back is a different color from the rest of the car. Furthermore, on closer inspection at a body shop, there is a dent remaining and dirt in the paint scattered throughout the passenger's side. I contacted Carmax sales representative- Scott Snead and he told a service worker to tell me that the passenger's side including the dent and the dirt in the paint were up to CarMax's standards. Apparently, CarMax's "standards" are like having no standards at all. The passenger's rear tire was also leaking from its patch that CarMax had put on there so it's obvious now that damage occurred on the passenger's side that was undisclosed to me during the sale.

I have never written a review for anything in my entire life. However, I feel compelled to write…read moreone about our experience with this dealership and you can decide for yourself how you feel about it. My girlfriend and I found a car (for her daughters first car) that we were interested in seeing on their website (a 2011 Honda CRV)...so we reached out to them and they were kind enough to bring the car down from their Tysons location to their Fredericksburg location for us to see. Mike and Sam are the ones that made this happen - so we were off to a good start in our mind. Upon arriving at the Fredericksburg location Jason (their GM of Sales greeted us and showed us to the car). The first thing I noticed is the bumper had been damaged and had screws holding it on (which was not disclosed to us)...however, other than that the car appeared to look good over-all so we remained optimistic. The next thing we noticed was there was one tire different than all the others - anyone that knows anything about cars, this is not something you want to do when a vehicle is AWD - I will not get into the details but basically it can place constant and damaging stress on the drivetrain - look it up if you would like to know more details. Again, this is something that should have been disclosed to us - after some discussions with Jason, they took something like $78 off the price - mind you I made Jason aware the new tire was going to cost us like $160. Okay, so we decided to test drive the car - it should be noted that due to the location of this dealership and heavy traffic in the surrounding area we were only able to test drive up and down the local strip - getting car up to a fair speed (in our opinion) to ensure everything seemed good. After test driving, we decided to purchase the car for $9600 cash (this included tax, tags and title). So, we bought the car and dove it home, not to start it again until the very next day (because it was late in the evening). This very next morning, we start the car and hear (what sounds like metal grinding) for a second or so before it starts. To us this was very concerning, so we did our research and determined it was likely the Timing Chain actuator spring pin (which these vehicles are known for having issues). We proceed to test drive the car and as we now get it up to a higher speed than we were able to on the test ride, it begins to shake in the cabin, and the acceleration seems to be struggling. So, the first thing we do is call to speak to Jason - the sales rep tells us he cannot take our call and takes our message and assures us Jason will call us back. After not hearing back from Jason for a couple of days, we feel it necessary to take the car to a couple of shops to see what's going on for sure. Both shops come back with the same results that the Timing Chain actuator is the issues at starting (I was able to show them a video of it) and that the front left CV axle is causing the shaking along with the car being out of alignment. As for the sluggish acceleration they say the car likely may need lifter adjustments too. I think it's important to note that the car only does this metal grinding on a cold start (because the damaged actuator spring pin allows the car motor oil to drain back to the bottom of the motor and not being where it needs to be within the timing chain gears when doing a cold start)...and if you don't get this fixed you could potentially snap the timing chain and destroy the motor. Also important to note that it did not do this when we took it for a test ride because it had clearly been started before we got there...so this was an issue before we bought it and we find it hard to believe someone at this dealership did not know of this issue during cold starts. Okay, so we get these estimates and try reaching out to Jason for the second time and leave his staff messages again - this goes on for four to five different days/times that we leave a message for Jason to call us, and we never get a call back from him. About a week or so later we call again and get someone by the name of Mo/Moe who listens to all our concerns and tells us to forward to him all diagnostic information and that he will speak directly with the big boss (whoever that is) and get back to us. So, we do just that and have various text messages going back and forth with Mo/Moe but cannot get a response for anything - and then out of nowhere, we completely lose communication with Mo/Moe - he has decided to no longer communicate with us.

When I purchased my vehicle, I was promised that floor mats would be provided within three months. Unfortunately, that promise was never fulfilled. During that entire period, I never received a single phone call, email, or update regarding the status of the floor mats. Every attempt to get information was met with silence. After months of waiting, I finally went back to the dealership on June 1st to speak with the manager. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, I was repeatedly interrupted while trying to explain the situation. The manager displayed a dismissive attitude and seemed unwilling to listen. What was most disappointing was his response when I questioned why no one had contacted me regarding the promised floor mats. His reply was essentially, "Why would I reach out to you over some floor mats, I'm the manager?" As a manager, customer service and follow-through should be a priority, especially when promises are made during the sales process. This experience left me feeling that once the sale is completed, customer concerns are no longer important. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend purchasing a vehicle from this Enterprise Car Sales location. If any promises are made during the sales process, I would strongly encourage getting everything in writing and following up regularly, as my experience suggests that verbal commitments may not be honored. I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and felt it was important to share my experience with others.
