Long story short since can't copy and paste my review from google, drove from Pittsburgh, trade-in my truck and buy new. Total loan was way higher than sticker and I had equity on my trade-in. Noisy brakes on the way home, my son found the bottom of passenger door almost completely rusted through. Two weeks later I get drafted my old trucks payment($420) because they hadn't sent in the payoff yet. Two weeks later I used the parking brake and it wouldn't release. Lost 2 days work(its my work truck) and was hit with a $637 mechanic bill. So we're 3 weeks in, I'm out $1k(old truck payment and mechanic bill) with my first payment about here, still no paperwork to get it registered in my state, which also means I have yet to be able to get it inspected, so I don't even know if it will pass which could be more money out of pocket. This has been a terrible experience and i advise anyone when shopping this dealer. read more

Purchase f350 got 30 day tag, tag expire this week, not getting reasonable effort or explanation why my permanent tags are not mailed to me. My phone calls not being returned and did reach the only female working in office today and she was not helpful at all. And had no receipt of paperwork being processed. Not a happy camper! I have bought the vehicle of my dreams (Jeep) 2 weeks ago from them. 2 weeks later they called me and told me that the contract pulled back and they wanted the truck back. Zee (salesman) did everything he could to fight the banks to get me approved again so I dont have to drive 200+ miles back there from Philadelphia, PA. He pulled through and did get me approved again with the same bank that backed out the 1st time. They were very helpful. I would recommend them. If you are considering buying a vehicle from them, exercise caution and pay attention to every detail. Additionally, they may try to repossess your vehicle even if it has not been late for up to thirty days, which goes against consumer rights protection. I was pretty torn on this review. Compared with other local dealers, I initially like this one a lot. I purchased a truck from them that was older and cheaper than most of their inventory. I was there on a quiet morning. The sales people I encountered were friendly and not at all pushy. We had some miscommunication during the negotiations- "$x,xxx all-in tax, title, reg. with the processing fee" we're the agreed upon terms when I went into the back room to do the paperwork. Then he wanted to add the processing fee back in. "We don't usually negotiate" and "the processing fee is required, I can't do anything with it". I didn't back out of the deal. I still felt like I was getting a fair deal w the fee. But that was the turning point in my experience. He literally flew through the paperwork, I really felt like my business was a hassle to him and my cheap truck wasn't really worth his effort. When we finished the paperwork, he said I would have to come back in a bit for the truck because it was going through the VA inspection. Now this was news to me. I'm new to VA, and while I was familiar with the inspection process, I didn't know that inspections on used cars didn't carry over (the truck already had a recent sticker on it). Fine. Came back an hour later. The truck had failed inspection. "This happens all the time, it's no big deal. It failed for a minor thing and you can just bring it back here once you fix it and we'll run it through the inspection again for you" I realized I bought the truck "as is" and I recognized that to him, but I did mention that it seems to me the dealership would take care of this for me. I had to ask what it actually failed for. They brought the guy back that took the truck trough the inspection "aw it's no big deal, just missing a bolt in the manifold. Won't cost more than $40-$100 to have a mechanic fix". At this point I politely acquiesced. Took my ONE set of keys "I think there's a second set somewhere, we'll let you know when we find it". And I left. Turns out the missing bolt was actually a broken stud in the driverside cylinder head right up against the firewall. A common problem on these kinds of trucks that mechanics would recognize right away as a potentially huge problem due to it being inaccessible. I truly believe the dealership had an idea that this problem was bigger than a $40-$100 repair. Cost of this exact repair regularly runs $1,000- $1,500. So much for $40. Lucky for me I have some great friends that are talented mechanics. We had a lot of fun spending 7+ hours doing the repair ourselves. Since buying the truck, I've had a few other issues. Nothing major. Hey, when you buy an old used truck, you expect some problems. I'm not complaining about that. My complaints are 1) miscues in the negotiations, 2) not being informed about the inspection process ahead of time, 3) being misguided about the extent of the issue, 4) being treated like an inconvenience during the paperwork process. I give it two stars instead of one simply because I liked the majority of the people I interacted with while there. For all my complaints, they were still better than most local used car dealerships I visited. Wouldn't recommend shopping there unless you're spending enough money to warrant their attention and customer service. I would also recommend working VA inspection repairs into the negotiations. read more

The dealership set a time convenient for both and we brought it in. 2 days later, I have the car back with many new parts. And NO expenses to me. It's nice to have a customer based company in our area when customer service is so hard to come by these days. My wife loves the car! I will buy another vehicle from them. Moe S. and Trey S. Since you both refuse to respond to emails and the Better Business Bureau. I'll post here as well: I took spot delivery of a vehicle after putting down $2,700.00. I ended up not getting approved, according to the clause in the contract I signed; I return the car and I receive my deposit back. I took the car back on 8/30 and was told I would not get my deposit due to me committing "fraud." According to them. I knowingly applied to financing and knew I wouldn't be approved, which makes no sense because I was pre-approved and them gave them all the documentation. I called the bank and I found out before the dealership that the bank I agreed to go with had no information. The salesmen I dealt didn't inform me he was talking to other banks and tried to convince me to keep getting financed and sign new paperwork. Everything was fine until I no longer wanted to keep trying other banks. Then the salesmen became aloof and the owner informed him to tell me I wouldn't get my money back and I could come speak with him upon his convenience. It has now been almost a month since I returned their nightmare of a car and still haven't gotten my money back. Now they're selling the same "As-Is" car with a warranty. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS JANKY DEALERSHIP!!! If I could give it zero stars I would. I am so angry. I do not know where to begin. Firstly they got me approved for a loan but would not under any circumstances give me the numbers or even a ballpark until I took the 1 hour and 45 min drive down to the dealership from DC. I had to call and beg for a ball park and was asked what was I looking to pay and told it was close to 300 because I said around $300. I get there only to find the note was $599. then every time I tried to leave the number of the car note kept going down more and more. I was offered 4k for my vehicle over the phone after leaving with a lower car note only to drive back out there to find that was a lie and offered $1500 until Mo (the owner) was able to agree to $3200 but only placing $3k on the paperwork. Today I learn that not only did I trade in my vehicle from $3000 he sneakily hiked the price for the car up from $18,900 to over $23k. So not only did I trade in my paid off car I am technically paying them $4-5k more than the advertised price. I am pissed and am looking for a lawyer on this * I usually do not even write reviews, but I created a yelp account just to do this. read more

This lot involved a lot of deceptive practices. Do your research before coming here. Check the vehicle reports as well. Office appears friendly until you have repair issues. Then, they treat you any kind of way. First time and this will be last time buyer here. The vehicles are not worth buying. The outside and inside may appear in good condition, but you will end up with costly out of pocket repairs & being charged more than the kelly blue book price. On April 14, 2018, I purchased a vehicle from Zabaer H., a salesperson at Maxkars. This has been the worst experience ever. As of today, August 21, 2018, I can no longer drive my vehicle because it is in such poor condition, it will not pass Maryland inspection and I have no tags or registration. Mr. Z told me at the time of my purchase that the car was in great shape and I would have absolutely no problems with the vehicle or with it passing inspection. However, I took the car for inspection first on April 25, 2018 and it failed miserably. I returned the car to Maxkars for them to fix the problems. They would only pay half of the price to fix the problems and insisted that I pay the balance, which I did. I then took the car back to the same place for Maryland inspection a second time and the car failed again. They informed me that MaxKars did not fix everything. On August 1, 2018, I took the car to a different Maryland Inspection place just to be sure. The second location failed the vehicle for more items than the first. As of today, I have paid a lot of money for inspections and repairs for a vehicle that is still not drivable. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone, EVER. read more

The other reviews were pretty rough on Maxkar so I thought I would share my experience. First off, when it's time for a new vehicle, I am emphatic about the pursuit. I only buy used and I research every target vehicle in MD, northern VA, DE, and Southern PA. Long story short, I found a large SUV on Maxkar's website and drove 2 hours to look at it. After a thorough inspection, the truck was as advertised- a low miles base model Suburban in excellent condition for a great price. They did not come down on the price but I knew what the truck was worth and was fine with that. They gave me close to KBB on my old truck and the purchase was relatively painless and swift. My one concern was this truck passing MD inspection, since I obviously bought the truck in VA. Zee said he would take care of any issues. Sure enough, the truck was found to be in great shape but did need a front ball joint, rear brakes, and an air bag sensor. Zee said to bring it back to him and he had his in-house shop fix all- he only charged me for parts at his cost ($150 for everything). He stuck to his word. Even my mechanic in MD was impressed (if not disappointed, as his estimate was $1200!). We just took the truck to TN on a 1500 mile trip- the truck is fantastic. Ask for Zee- he was good and very fair. Do your homework! read more

This place i thought was about their business i brought a 2006 honda oddyssey February 25th put 4500 cause the vam drove smooth i was like ok i finally got a legit car cause all my other cars i brought either broke down within 2 months of me having it so i buy this van cause as told i would only.be paying 269 a month for 3 months and the van would be mine i go in 2 weeks later after the sale to make a 2 months payment and the owner is asking me what is this yoir car note payment is 768 dollars a month and i asked him how cause that is nothing we talked about 2 weeks ago but ok ill give you this 800 and so i did very much understandable so now 4 weeks go by so i had the van for not even 2 months and the van has started making this popping noise and soon as i put the van in park the engime started smoking i contacted Moe April 18th and the next morning took that van in cause again i didnt even have the van that long and already having issues so the mechanic there looks under my hood and says oh you have no coolant once the van cools down we are going to put coolant in the coolant comparment then takes a look at the radiator stick and says it cant be a blown head gasket cause the stick is not milky ok but once he pours coolant in the comparment and in the radiator and lets it sit and then tells me to start the van back up and all the coolant gets spit out the radiator and the mechanic says its a blown head gasket and walks away and when i took it to the mechanic to get an oil change at grease monkey there wasnt even 5000 miles on the van for it to be a blown head gasket from no coolant and then moe keeps contacting me to pay the rest that i owe when one im not driving have not driven that vam since it broke down and i got to walk to work from cowan blvd to spotsylvania ave doesnt mattet rain heat i had to in order to keep my job and i have walked past there place more then a few times in the rain and nobody bothered to fix the issue just asking about money and that is not right i know business is business but your suppose to satisfy your customer work with them to keep them coming back but no i got 4 kids babies and cant go nowhere 5300 down on a car and nothing to show for it and then i puts a comment on the google and Moe calls me talking about after all i done for you your going to post that about us wait a minute Moe all you done was ask for payments i dont have not if i have reliable transportation not how is the van your money i should of just known with the car note payment being so high why so quick of a sale i dont know but they knew something was wrong with this van before i got it and Moe says 4 weeks ago send me the address and ill try to get someone to fix it but guess what the van is still in my parking lot and im still without a car 5300 down the drain but like i told them we all have our day this is now in God hands read more

These guys are liars and thieves. They will offer you well below KBB for your trade in, and will try and sell you car 4k$ over KBB for their own cars. I went over to have a look at an FR-S for sale. Wais came over to me after my test drive and told me this FR-S 200 hp, 4 cylinder car beats Camaros, and Corvettes in races all the time. They then told me that KBB was insanely off, and so is Edmunds, that they would never drop their prices so low. Wais also told me that my mazda 3 2010 which is black is a totally undesirable car in the area, that because its fredricksburg and not chantilly they probably will have to auction it, and that black is an unfavorable color. He also boasting that his FR-S is the cheapest within 200 miles, (not by much i'd like to add. there is 2014 fr-s for sale for 1k more and has half the mileage just a few miles away) but he didn't seem to mention that his car also had the HIGHEST MILEAGE for sale on the eastern side of the entire united states. He tried to show me listings of fr-s in the area and purposely put, list from highest price to lowest to boast his low price. Lets not forget to mention he pulls up ads for mazda's in the area to show me the resale value of my car, putting it lowest to highest in listing order and when i told him those cars ARE not accident cars, with salvage titles he tries to solidify that he's sure their not, because he's a salesman. He prolonged giving us the carfax throughout our bickering, and eventually tells us his rusted out FR-S has an accident and that he wouldn't be able to take my offer that WOULD'VE made them money. Just recently I bought a car from Mo @Maxkar motors in Fredericksburg, Va. BEWARE! This small time family owned business is very VERY SHADY!! Dealing with Mo he acted very shady in his body language, wouldnt keep eye contact and does not keep his promises nor the promises that his cousin Weis makes. The car I purchased from them had issues from the start but yet had a valid inspection sticker on it (how could a car pass inspection with these issues???). The passenger side air bag was malfunctioning - he replaced that after I made a big deal about it going back several times to have them look at it. The driver side front tire had a gash in it from whoever had the car previously curb checked it, Weis told me that they would replace it no problem the day I purchased it... The tire is still not replaced after I made several attempts to have him replace it (after I was told they would). Everytime I called or even so much as showed up those times to have them fix what they said they would I would get a nasty look from Mo as if he dreaded seeing me back. Also, the cars here are OUTRAGEOUSLY over priced... my car was sold for 11k more than it was worth. The worst part about all of this is he LIED on my application to the banks and told the bank that I put down 1k in CASH when I most certainly did not. I tried to speak with Mo regarding all of this and all I got was his nasty attitude and hung up on. He would not take the vehicle back regardless so now I am stuck with this car paying an extra 11k thats its NOT WORTH. read more
