I don't know where to start. Reached out to VIP Auto and was greeted by Mallie. He's not a bad guy;…read morehowever, the vehicle I received was in horrible condition. I purchased a vehicle sight unseen and had a mobile pre-inspection done. I'll get to that later. If I had flown to VA, I would have saved myself the headache and the tens of thousands in negative equity. There were many scratches, dents, and touch-up paint all over the vehicle ($2,000). Cheap aftermarket AMG replica rims with snow tires ($3,500). Lower center chrome trim damaged ($250), driver headlight cracked. The interior was also in terrible shape. Cigarette burn in the headliner, missing rear console door ($185), overly discolored leather seats, rips in the leather, and if there is a clip to hold something together, it was either broken or missing. Two main clips that were broken and missing held the chrome strips on the door handles ($740), a car that is supposed to be quiet was filled with rattling noise when driving. After 3 months with the vehicle, the check engine light came on. Hooked it up to the computer; 3 cylinders are misfiring ($1,000 in parts, work done myself). The dealer wanted to charge $4,000. Rear window stopped working ($385). The mobile mechanic stated that the brakes were in excellent condition; however, they were as thin as a sheet of paper and squealed even when the transporter was backing the vehicle from the truck ($1,500). After five months, a significant leak occurred from one of the coolant reservoirs. I didn't know how much that cost because I had to sell the vehicle after having it for 6 months and driving less than 2k miles. My total was $46,560, and I sold it for $27,500 because it was in such poor condition. Almost $20k in negative equity makes me want to vomit! PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

He was such a laid back and helpful sales person, unlike some cars sales man who try to take advantage of people. Mr. Mallie had answered my email in a timely manner and scheduled my test drive within the same week. The staff their was so nice offering to valet my car or if I wanted something to drink like water or Gatorade. The lot had so many amazing brand cares with low mileage I was in disbelief. The 2009 BMW 335i I test drove was in great shape with only 72k miles on there. I loved my experience so much I bought the car the same day. Mr. Mallie made the process very smooth and I even had them do my tag and title! 10 out of 10 would recommend this dealership! Reasonable price and great service!!

I mention that I have already gone through one of these scams with Koons before, and will not waste more than 10 minutes. He tells me straight up to my face that I welcome to leave now. Biggest scamming sacks of living feces I have had the displeasure of ever talking to. As I left, they were attempting to take advantage of an elder African American woman in her 70s. Hope she took my advice and got the hell out of there. Koons is a terrible company, and this location in particular should be investigated by the law.

If I could give them a negative star, I would. Not only did they misrepresent their advertising,…read morebut they were also condescending in tone and assumed I was the customer instead of the woman who spoke to Dale on the phone. If you want to experience the worst car-buying experience, look no further than Koons Automotive of Fredericksburg. My friend was trying to sell a 2011 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid, and the dealership had offered $4,000 over KBB (Kelley Blue Book) value. When she spoke to Dale earlier that day, he confirmed that the deal was legitimate. After driving over 40 miles during rush hour traffic, we arrived at a location that resembled a backyard auto auction, with a limited supply of vehicles. The salespeople reminded me of vultures, hovering and waiting to swoop in for their next prey. As we entered the building filled with loud music, the open spaces with makeshift folding tables and partitions gave off a shady vibe. Steven greeted us and kept insisting that he liked to "shoot straight," which is a classic red flag indicating the opposite. He claimed he was unaware of the $4,000 over KBB promotion, and after my insistence, he finally called Dale over. Dale instinctively approached me, seeming to imply that I was not the primary customer, and then acknowledged the deal he had mentioned on the phone. The issue was that he changed the terms of the deal, stating that the $4,000 over KBB only applied to cars traded in towards a purchase. This is a classic example of bait and switch, and I strongly advise anyone looking for a quality deal and trustworthy salesperson to beware.

    CarMax

I had a very disappointing experience with CarMax from start to finish…read more After purchasing my vehicle, I was told by the service department that it would be ready on a specific date. When that date arrived, the repairs were not completed, causing an unnecessary delay. Once the vehicle was finally ready, I was incorrectly told that I needed to obtain a physical check from my bank before taking delivery. My bank does not issue physical checks, which CarMax should have known. To make matters worse, I was given this information after the bank had already closed, creating another avoidable delay. Because the repairs could not be completed before I took possession of the vehicle, I was given documentation and told I had 30 days to have the remaining repairs completed at no cost to me. However, when I contacted the service department to schedule the repairs, I was told I would have to pay Tesla out of pocket for the parts and then seek reimbursement from CarMax afterward. That is not what I was told when I accepted delivery of the vehicle, and it is unacceptable for customers to receive conflicting information depending on who they speak with. On top of everything else, I was promised that $250 would be waived due to the delays in receiving my vehicle, but that never happened. The biggest issue throughout this experience has been the lack of communication and consistency. Different employees provided different information, commitments were not honored, and I was left to sort out problems that should have been handled by CarMax. Purchasing a vehicle should be an exciting experience, but instead it was frustrating, stressful, and unnecessarily complicated. I expected much better customer service and professionalism from a company of this size.

Previous damage on the car that was not disclosed to me. Passenger's side door was damaged severely…read moreand was independently repaired- not up to standard. Paint color on the passenger's side from the front to the quarter panel in the back is a different color from the rest of the car. Furthermore, on closer inspection at a body shop, there is a dent remaining and dirt in the paint scattered throughout the passenger's side. I contacted Carmax sales representative- Scott Snead and he told a service worker to tell me that the passenger's side including the dent and the dirt in the paint were up to CarMax's standards. Apparently, CarMax's "standards" are like having no standards at all. The passenger's rear tire was also leaking from its patch that CarMax had put on there so it's obvious now that damage occurred on the passenger's side that was undisclosed to me during the sale.

Do NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership…read more I bought a car here in October 2025 through a salesperson named Luisa, and this has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I was promised a flash drive with all of my signed paperwork sent by mail--I never received anything. I've called multiple times and have been given nothing but excuses and runarounds. The worst part: I later found out the vehicle has a Structural damage report on the CARFAX that I myself had to look up because I was not given a CARFAX when I asked for it, which was NEVER disclosed to me at the time of purchase. This is a huge issue and completely unacceptable. Failing to disclose something this important is misleading and raises serious concerns about how this dealership does business. At this point, I have lost all trust in this place and will be pursuing legal action. Save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!! these people are professional…read morescammers, everything about their business is sketch and to mention "Gary"and "Edwards". Both of them lack professionalism, Gary was just blatantly rude to my father while speaking to him. I bought a Nissan 2010 370z about a year ago from them and when I was finalizing the paperwork they told me they needed to fix the "fuel pump issue" so they made me wait a week after to come back to the dealer which was an hour away from me to pick it up but they never even attempted to fix the issue because it broke down on me the very first day i drove it. Their supposed warranty on the vehicle was just a complete lie the company didn't even know "Autos Direct". It was a back and forth issue for about a 2 months, which they started ducking my emails and phone calls in that period of time, between me and Edwards saying they would "pay" for my repair but that also ended up being a complete lie and they just compensated me with a $1,000 check (which he made me pick up and wait about an hour to receive) to a $3,000 repair because it turns out the ECM was fried and it was never my fuel pump. I had to pay out of pocket to repair this vehicle they supposedly fixed. BY FAR MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A DEALERSHIP
