I'm the type of person who didn't go to the dentist unless I had to so years would go by until I'd make an appointment. VIP Dental has changed that and I go to every cleaning and appointment and look forward to it! The staff is friendly and they genuinely care about their patients. They also have a very clean space with modern amenities. I really appreciate how they continue to push themselves to stay on top of the latest technologies and master them so that they can provide the best care. Dr. Lyuda is a dentist that other dentist go to for whenever they need any treatment. As a local dentist, I have always gone to her for any work that I need. She gives amazing painless injections that to this day I have not been able to give myself. And of course you know her work is good if other dentists go get their own work done by her. Not only is Dr. Lyuda a great clinician but also very caring and sincere. Her treatment plans are conservative and effective. She provides lifetime care. She has been a great mentor to me, and is a big reason why I became a dentist. I definitely recommend anyone who is scared of the dentist or has had a bad experience at a dental office to give her a shot. Trust me you will not be disappointed The office is absolutely gorgeous. I went for the first time to get a root canal done and it definitely made the root canal experience a bit more bearable. The office has iPads everywhere that help keep you entertained and wireless headphones to keep you calm during the treatment. Also, everyone is lieing they are not 100% paperless. A short visit over to the VIP Dental Lounge website touts their dream and desire as being known as "the gold standard of dentistry" - not by a long shot. In my book they are platinum. So to keep a long story short I'll just say that the dentist isn't on my Top 10 list of things that bring me great joy and excitement...until VIP Dental Lounge. First, I appreciate the modern decor, the relevant and meaningful use of technology, and the biggest and best asset - the STAFF! Vivak is awesome and instantly makes you feel welcomed and relaxed. Dr. Lyuda is no different! What I appreciated the most about my time with the doc is that all of those annoying forms and stuff you have to fill out before your first visit...yeah, she ACTUALLY READS THEM! My biggest pet peeve with doctors is asking all of the same questions that I just spend 15 minutes answering but not here! Second, I appreciate the attentive customer service that doesn't end when you leave the chair. Vivek helped my partner and me with a complex insurance issue well after our visit and he saw it through to completion. Words cannot express our deepest thanks for such an amazing dedication to superior customer service. I went to VIP dental lounge a year ago. I was seen by Dr. Lyuda for about 15 min. She suggest a treatment plan that basically came down to deep cleanings. I know I have other issues but for those, I had to find a different kind and of dentist. Apparently this office is unable to deal with anything more than minor extractions. They couldn't remove my upper wisdom teeth, they couldn't cap off a tooth, basically couldn't do more than cleaning. So I went along with it. Went to two appointments, they cleaned one side and the other side on second appointment. I left satisfied that I got a good cleaning but noted that I needed to find an office with greater capacities. Fast forward: I kept getting calls telling me to schedule my next dental cleaning. I was called probably twice per week until I finally caved in agreed to schedule well over a month ago. As one would expect I went on about my life. So today, with less than 24 hours to go, I get a reminder call. I told the person who called that o would need to reschedule because I couldn't make the appointment. Mind you, less than 24 hours. She tells me they'll have to charge me $50 for not canceling my apt with 48 hours in advance. She explained to me that they couldn't waive the fee because I had already rescheduled once back in March. I tried disputing the fact that i didn't even call to make the appointment in the first place! After trying to reason with the lady I just hung up. I feel like I've been scammed!! Horrible horrible! It wasn't Melissa on the phone because I remember her and she was polite. This lady I spoke with today was horrible. If you're looking for a really good dental office, keep looking! They've invested plenty in looking trendy. Too bad they don't have more specialists or eso dentists. After being seen initially by the one doctor there, I only was seen by dental hygienists. Credit where it's due: the hygienists were nice pleasant people. It's the front desk and lack of specialized knowledge that make this place a 1 star. And forget trying to reschedule twice in a two year period!! They have to pay for their trendy stuff somehow. I'd give it a -0 if possible. read more

I'm sure I already wrote my review long ago, but this is my newest review after my last visit. I was one of the first patients, I got a nice flyer in my mailbox couple of years ago and I just moved here and was really in the search of a good dentist nearby. Also affordable, because I didn't and still don't have health insurance. But I always had the best treatment with whatever I had, then eventually I got enrolled into a plan which allows me to pay like 30$ every 3 months and have x rays, cleaning and all the updates included. It's all autopay so I don't even have to think about it. And they make sure I get notified about future appointments in any way, so you can't miss it. I was always taking care of my dental hygiene, but back in 2014. I moved from another country, took me months and over a year to settle and find my dentist. Meanwhile, I got health issues for changing climate, vitamin D and complete immunity system failure, and I got some serious issues with periodontal disease. I had much worse prognosis and other dentist that would put me through painful and very expensive procedures. Working with dr. Lyuda, I managed to just get back to normal, and actually get to another level as do to other things, as whitening and reshaping my teeth damaged by grinding and making my smile confident and wide :-) Every time I walk out of that office I smile lol read more

Dr. Lyuda is great but her support staff is another story! First I get a call and it the lady goes Hello... Oh wait I call back... click? I am like who calls someone and does that? So I get the email confirmation for my appointment on May 4th which I do confirm. I had this appointment made since February. They tell me 3 days prior that my appointment is cancelled due to the office being closed. I guess there is only 1 Saturday a month they are open now so the website needs to be updated. The assistant then goes I will make doctor come in just for you. I am like now you are making me look like the ahole? I'm not doing that! Then she goes oh how about during the week? Don't you think if I were free during the week that I would have already made my appointment during that time?!?!?! Horrid Service!!! read more

VIP Dental administrative staff are very professional as well as the dentist and hygienist. The hygienist did not rush and cleaned my teeth really well. They are thorough knowledgeable and friendly. This review is for Dr Lyuda's work. I've had two cleanings as well as a teeth whitening session. All three times my experience was very comfortable. The doctor has a steady hand and really takes her time. This was the first cleaning that I felt was not rushed. I saw the doctor right from the start (instead of the assistant). I really like their whitening product as well. My teeth are a little sensitive but the product they applied before the procedure did the trick. I have referred a number of family members in Chicago to Dr Lyuda's office who now see her regularly. read more

I decided to go to VIP based on all of the great reviews and the fact that the office is nearby. As someone who has had a LOT of dental work, and having friends in the dental field, I have high expectations from my dentists. The office itself is nice, modern, and the staff is fairly friendly. They were able to get me in for a cleaning within a week which was great. Dr Lyuda seemed very nice from the limited interaction (less than 1 minute) I had with her, but I don't think this is the office for me. Why not? My teeth are important to me and I feel that you should have some sort of relationship with your dentist. I know that when you go in for a cleaning most of your time is spent with the hygienist, not the dentist. That said, every other dentist I've had has spent a little more time getting to know me and my dental history on my first visit. Dr Lyuda on my first visit did a quick check of my teeth and said there were 2 fillings that needed a touch up. The whole interaction with her was literally less than a minute before she moved along. If we had any discussion I could have informed her that my fillings have been that way for a while and that we've just been keeping an eye on things. They could have checked x-rays from my previous dentist to see if there had been any changes, but instead just wanted to replace the fillings. The staff, while nice, seems clearly trained to sell. With where the insurance industry is headed I'm not surprised, but from the hygienist to the front desk person, it felt like their job was to sell. The hygienist was pushing to get me back every 4 months for cleanings, when insurance only covers 2. She was using the scare tactic of "you'll need 2 crowns" for the fillings that we're keeping an eye on. That gave the doc a chance to say no, we just need to replace the fillings. When I checked out, the front desk person tried getting me to schedule the fillings. He informed me that it's their policy to charge $50 to reserve time with the dentist for fillings, which is credited towards the balance when the work is done. I have NEVER had a dentist require a deposit to schedule an appointment. When I told him I was between jobs and insurance he first said ok, but then he remembered a story very similar with another patient. That patient was also between jobs, and had the same type of fillings that needed repair and decided to put it off. A week later that patient needed to have root canals which was 10x more expensive. It seemed an awful lot like a scare tactic to get me to schedule something on the spot after I said I needed to wait a few weeks. I was hopeful going in, and they did a great job with my cleaning, but the visit seemed very impersonal and very salesy so I don't see myself going back. read more

Going to the dentist is my least favorite annual commitment. However the VIP experience is best in class. They are very communicative during the visit, pause and let you ask questions and don't push you to commit to anything. Maybe I can learn to love going to the dentist now?! Everyone at VIP is professional and communicates well. I've never had a bad experience. I would however advise them to keep their appointments as they are set. I do not think I've had a single appointment where I wasn't contacted to move things around. It's never been a real problem but it is annoying. When I make an appointment for 2pm I want to come at 2pm. Fortunately they have never pushed back when I could not accommodate their request. But the fact that it happens so frequently bothers me. Hadn't been to the dentist in awhile because of a couple of bad experiences. Dr. Lyuda definitely crushed all my fears and made me feel very at ease. She took her time to make sure I understood everything that was going on. She stopped periodically to check on me and make sure I was ok, since she knew I had anxiety.
