By pure luck, we rented a house across the street from Mel, and a neighbor told us she was a groomer. That was such a blessing. From the very first appointment, I could see the difference. Even though our pups had been poorly groomed before, Mel worked so gently and skillfully with them. She explained that it might take a few visits to get them looking like true poodles again, but she still made them look and feel so much better right away. What stands out the most is not just her talent, but her kindness and genuine love for animals. My boys absolutely adore her -- they run to her happily, which says it all. I am beyond grateful to have found her, and I recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone who wants their pets cared for by someone truly special.

For weeks I had to give her medicated baths to help with the discomfort, wearing a collar and medicated baths every few days.. She is a Woodle, and the last visit, her hair was left way to long, but worse than that, in back she was overly shaved in a huge area, that is raw, she wants to chew and lick at it and hardly pees, I think due to the pain on her skin as she goes. They cut her gum & lip, that they had to have known and I was not informed. On the way home I saw the blood coming down her face, she has 2 large scabs. She was supposed to get a poodle face cut in the face, pic is an example, instead they left it long in my opinion to cover the injuries they gave her. Look at the picture, speaks a thousand words. Don't risk going though what we have done. My poor dog is up half the night trying to lick the bald area and scratch at her mouth. She has the collar on, but she is in a lot of discomfort, and I'm up half the night from this too. It's been about 6 weeks now, she is getting better, but still trying to get at the bald area, as the hair is starting to return, and still has large scabs from being cut in the mouth area. Her eyes never were runny, with this cut, both eyes were runny. Wrong, just plain wrong Manager was giving excuses to the other complaints on the reviews here. I can see a mishap, things happen, but not to be informed, there is no way they didn't see blood from her mouth. They'll say I didn't report this soon enough, a lot going on in my life along with all the time spent taking care of her. No apology, nothing.

The dogs do too! Elena will smack dogs when they don't cooperate. I had a text conversation with Elena regarding this, she never once refuted this. Simply tried to deflect the conversation. Her abuse of dogs even went as far as breaking her clippers from smacking a dog with them. Keep your distance. Protect your dogs. They deserve so much better.
