I visited this nail salon on 6/28/26 for a Gel x fill and a Pedicure and unfortunately the experience was very unwelcoming. The nail technician was very dismissive and condescending and the lady that performed my pedicure often giggled and spoke in her native language about me. For these reasons, I will never patronize this nail salon again. The vibe was totally off relative to me!! read more

Heidy's did an astoundingly bad job with my mom's nails. The nails were: - extremely crooked - had lots of glue - had an intensely ugly and unnatural curve - not filled/painted in all the way - incorrectly shaped Please look at the pictures. It is hard to believe these nails were done professionally. To add salt to the wound, my mom got these done the day before her international trip so she was stuck with these. I fixed them a bit by filing them. Also, they were pretty rude to my mom and therefore made her feel uncomfortable speaking up about how poorly they were doing her nails. Overall, extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

My first visit here was on 11/10/24 and I absolutely loved my GelX set. Cindy killed it! Cane back on 11/30/24 because my nails grew out a lot and was serviced immediately by Lynn. Wasn't happy with the shape but I tried to deal with it for a while until I couldn't. Came back to get my nails fixed (same color) and back to the regular almond shape. Irene (owner) took care of me immediately (without charge) and I was so thankful for her assistance. It is always so nice inside here and the employees are too. Very bright interior and nice decorations for Christmas. Offer water to drink also. **I just came back from getting my recent service off from here at a nail salon closer to home/down the street (that's not Heidys) and I absolutely regret it. Came here on a Friday afternoon and the place was packed. I had to wait an hour before getting my nails done though was able to wait in a massage chair. I prefer to look at the nail polish to get an idea of what color I want but they gave me plastic nails to choose from. I got a basic pedicure with a berry color for $28 plus tip. The woman was efficient and didn't cut me at all while working quickly. The quality was good as well. I'll see how long they last but overall was happy with the experience. read more

my favorite nail salon!!! I came to get my graduation nails done & Irene got me right! I got coffin french tip nails with a nice soft chrome touch on top (I 100% recommend it, soooo worth it bc it adds a lovely touch to the plain nail) . She was super attentive to my needs, and made sure everything looked good to me throughout. The place is nicely decorated with a good ambiance. I paid 60 dollars for these nails... I asked for a gel polish set on my natural nails which was supposed to be around 45 dollars, and I was charged extra without knowing for the chrome when it was already sealed into the nails. A chrome that looks patchy around the tip of the nails. Not worth the money. I would rate it a 0/5 stars if I could. read more

The owner and staff are friendly and accommodating. I've been twice but in all fairness, I believe the first time was under the previous owner. My first experience was not pleasant. The lady doing my pedicure was very fragile with no hand strength and could barely clip my toenails. I felt bad for her. The mani pedi turned out just ok but started peeling and chipping quite quickly. This review is for the second time I went recently. I got a gel manicure and noticed when I left that it was bubbled and also started peeling off within the week. I went back and they fixed it right away. They did forget to apply my $10 discount but said they would apply it next time, so I will give Heidi VIP Nail one more try since I really like the owner and the nail techs. I don't usually like leaving bad reviews but I was very disappointed with the service at this place. I arrived around 6:25ish for a pedicure and manicure. They had me waiting for a long time and when the lady was ready to do my pedicure she was using her phone and talking to the rest of the workers which I didn't appreciate. As for my hands I asked for a design and since it was taking a long time I decided to just ask for plain white color. I ended up leaving the place at 8:10ish. I get a better price (for really nice nail designs!) at other places where they also provide a better service (add oil at the end, massage with warm towel,etc). I appreciated them staying back but it truly felt like a waste of money and time. read more

I use to go to Heidy's before new ownership, I was pleasantly surprised when I want back today! The nail techs Tina and Cindy were super sweet and the owner Irene was very attentive and nice as well! The place is still clean super modern. Loved their Christmas tree it was so cute and chic! I requested chrome but ended up leaving with a classic nude! The pedicure was quick and nice. Only concern would be the difference in shape in both toe nails but that's on me because of my weird toes hehe! Staff are nice, a complementary water is provided, thus salon massage chairs are also in use. At the time I went they were not busy so there was no wait time which was really nice since I didn't have tio much time. The place looks very nice, clean, and the staff was very nice and welcoming. They even offered some water. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. Decided to go with the sea salt pedicure which was a little more $ but was soo good and relaxing. Would do it again. My visits to European Wax Center (EWC) are quite rare, like once every year or maybe even two. I've…read morenoticed once per year, they always put out a promo where you can get 50% off a new service, where "new service" is defined as any service that you have not received within the past 12 months. In this most recent case, I hadn't gone in two years, so really, any service would have been considered "new" to me. I went with the Brazilian Wax, which I did two years ago, and also tacked on an eyebrow wax because when in Rome. Or somewhere else in Europe I suppose? lol There are only two wax specialists at the Long Beach Towne Center location who can do Brazilian Wax on men: Millie and Brianne. I actually had Millie as my waxing specialist on a visit back in 2022, and while I thought she was good enough for me to recommend to others, I wanted to see how Brianne would compare. Immediately after I made my appointment, I gave them a call to see if the 50% off could be applied to the Brazilian Wax. Terrace (sp?) over the phone fielded my call and, initially, stated that since I had gotten the Brazilian Wax before, I couldn't use the 50% off on that. However, she immediately retracted her statement before I could say something when she realized that my last Brazilian Wax was way more than 12 months ago. I had forgotten about this until the evening before, but there are some check-in forms you need to fill out prior to your arrival, or if you neglected to do so, I'm sure they would have asked you to fill them out before your appointment. I arrived about 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time and spent the next 10 minutes exploring the adjacent businesses. When I came in, Aaliyah at the front desk greeted me by name. What?! I suppose it's because there aren't too many male customers of European Wax Center, but that was kind of cool, yet also a little creepy lol. It took 5 to 10 minutes before Brianne called me back into one of the rooms. I personally would have preferred to do the eyebrow wax first since that seemed to be easier, but she said we were going to do the Brazilian Wax first instead. I had the Brazilian Wax done a couple of times before, so I kind of knew what to expect, but man, it still hurt, even though I was expecting it to hurt a little more. Brianne wasn't bad, but I didn't really get good vibes from her since her demeanor was quite sassy during my appointment. She also didn't really give me any warning as to when she would pull the wax off my skin, and when she was doing my eyebrow wax, I legit thought she was going to poke one of my eyes despite her telling me to relax my eyes. But nevertheless, she did a good job of waxing. Before she took me back to the lobby, she reminded me that I shouldn't exfoliate for a couple of days after my wax, and she also asked if I'd like to purchase any products prior to leaving, to which I declined. When I came back to the front to pay for my services, I was about to put my card into the reader, but Aaliyah said they had my card on file, so I didn't even need to take my card out of my wallet. Interesting, but I also hope they don't charge me for something I didn't approve beforehand. Actually, they did schedule an appointment for exactly four weeks later at the exact same time at the exact same location. Now that, I would not approve since this was my rare Wednesday afternoon off, and with how my schedule has been this year, I doubt I would have been able to make it, in time at least. So I simply told Aaliyah to cancel since I myself wouldn't even know when would be the next available time, though truthfully, I was never planning to go for the remainder of the year unless I get another discount lol. Let's face it, waxing is pretty pricey, but a good experience to try if you haven't! I left, but then returned shortly when I noticed I didn't get an email receipt that confirmed my payment. I asked Aaliyah, and she was gracious enough to send not one, but two copies of my email receipt; they just came in rather late. The day after my appointment, I received an email from EWC giving some tips on what to do and what not to do after the appointment. Besides the unauthorized future appointment, which I did confirm online was no longer booked, the receptionists at the front desk deserve 5 stars. But neither Millie nor Brianne impressed me enough to want to do a Brazilian Wax here again, unless they hire a different wax specialist by next year. I think 4 stars is fair, but I would likely choose a different location next time.

It is only fair that the same level of accountability be upheld on both sides. Customers are expected to respect the policy, and in return, the business should demonstrate the same consideration and reliability. Not be compensated with a $5 discount. When if I had canceled the appointment would have been charged $30. Experiencing this issue more than once concerns me about their consistency and professionalism. I hope improvements are made to better manage scheduling or compensation.
