After hanging out with Hubby's friend, we were super hungry for our drive back home. We were craving pizza, so we looked on Yelp to see what's around before heading back. I saw Vip Pizza nearby so we stopped by to order a pizza to go. It was a Sunday evening and it was pretty slow inside. The host was kind to give us time to look over the menu to decide what we wanted. I believe there was a special going on during that time and we ended up getting a large pepperoni pizza. The wait wasn't long and the inside was very clean. I really like the bar area they had for the patrons to sit and enjoy the game while having some pizza! The pizza was delicious! It has to be one of the best pizzas both of us had in a long time. Hubby was driving home and we both couldn't wait to dig in, so I ended up feeding both of us as he drove. It wasn't super greasy like other pizza joints and they did not skimp on the peppeoni whatsoever. We'll definitely come back to Vip Pizza when we're in the area again! read more

Hey, we were camping with our 5th Wheel at Riverpoint and decided on trying Vip Pizza based on its closeness and ratings. Glad we did. I don't think the experience eating in would be great. Kind of warm inside and not much atmosphere but the food is great. The lady behind the counter was very welcoming and friendly. We had the combination sourdough pizza, and it was loaded with goodies. Very good taste and texture. The best cold pizza the next day that I have ever had. Got a dozen wings and they were meaty and good sized. Customer service can be terrible depending on the server. The younger servers are usually the friendliest. It's pricey but the food has been good every time I've gone so far. I would check the Parmesan cheese shakers since there's been instances where they've had mold. read more

I hate having to leave this review because the food is so good but it was some little things that could end up big. To start while I was putting cheese on my pizza pocket I found that there was mold in the Parmesan cheese, and it wasn't little either 3 chunks. After I told the waitress she said" oh shoot, thank you I will go clean it", no sorry or discount or anything and later when we were leaving my sister got her food in a box and there was a bug on the box. Great pizza. I was late to discover VIP. I have tried many pizzas in the Lodi and Stockton area over the years. Most are over priced and don't give value for the money. They out shines all the pizza I have tried. Delicious crust. The crust did not dry out like alot of places. Even good the next day. Abundant toppings crust to crust. I loved the food and service here! I've dined at this restaurant before, and it didn't disappoint this time either. The laid-back atmosphere, tucked away in the heart of a business center, is a pleasant surprise for a pizza parlor and adds to the VIP experience. We caught the second half of the NCAA championship, but the only downside was the speakers weren't loud enough to fully enjoy the game. The service was fantastic--though I can't remember my server's name, we exchanged humorous jabs throughout the night. Wings were terrible just terrible . Just pure skin and fat zero meat . On top of that the service was lacking . Our server never came to come check on us took 20 minutes to even take our order and was just in the corner on her phone the whole time . Best pizza in town. I love pizza and am always on the hunt for a good pizza. We moved here 3 years ago and I have ordered pizza from different places, Vip pizza is by far the best . They have a good selection of toppings and their wings are pretty good too. They also have a good selection of beers on tap. The service is good and they're pretty fast. I've gone in a few times and was not disappointed either time. Since I have found this pizza, I have had it delivered several times. Great customer service and menu. read more

VIP once upon a time was my families go to pizza place. NO MORE! I loved their sourdough crust. Now there is NO customer service. I tried to call to place a takeout order, my phone has been ringing for over 20 minutes. No answer. My husband went in the restaurant, after 10 minutes of being ignored he left. I am sad and I am angry. This restaurant is going way down hill and will be a thing of the past if they do not get their stuff together. It is sad that the original owners service is no longer there. I half to now add that no one has answered the telephone in 27 minutes. How do they plan to do business? I am done. VIP you have lost a lot of money. Not going to lie, this pizza was pretty good. The cheese they use is very high quality. The crust is not my style (it was a tad bit flaky like a biscuit) but it was good overall. Very generous with my toppings. I got a medium and it was slightly larger than I anticipated. I paid around $25 for the medium 2 topping pizza, ranch, and a soda can. A little pricey IMO but the overall quality makes up for it. The restaurant itself was very clean and organized. Customer service was OK-ish. I will definitely be back. read more

It's a local joint. It's been around for a minute. First time I went there. I tried takeout thin crust. It wasn't the best but OK the second time I went had take out pepperoni and garlic and they charged me $42. I'm not sure where they get the pepperoni from. The combo was a bit salty but overall the pizza was well cooked. The Greek sourdough bread; honestly couldn't tell the difference between sourdough and regular. 3 stars for me on this place is not a bad thing. Was nearby and wanted to get something to take home. Ordered a small specialty pizza on sourdough the VIP. The flavors overall were good, but the base, the pizza sauce lacks depth. I had looked forward to the sourdough crust, but it was just okay and the first time I've ever had a pizza soak through the bottom so much that I was afraid the pizza would fall through when I carried it in the house. The crust wasn't fully cooked in the middle and the pizza sauce, for me, just needed a bit more garlic and seasoning. It was a good tasting pie, but I prefer several others in town better. Note: I almost always order pizza to go to eat at home. I did, however, despite my reservations on the pizza pie think it was a good value. Bottomline, if friends wanted to go there, I wouldn't push them elsewhere. Nice atmosphere inside with that small neighborhood feel, which was quite nice. read more

So the location is a little hard to find... (don't rely on GPS.... it is in the same plaza as Mezzo... the Italian restaurant) but so far worth it. We called our order in and it was ready upon arrival. When we arrived we also noticed that this would be a perfect place to watch a game if you were staying in the near by hotels. It might be a little small and tight, but definitely check it out. We order the pepperoni garlic gourmet... with no tomatoes, extra cheese and olives.... we ordered it with the standard crust which seems to be a thin crust. Let me start with HOW amazing the ranch dressing is..... and coupled with cheddar bacon fries!!!! Serious foodie heaven!!! I would totally just order fries from them.... that's how good they were. Asking for the wings well done made them over done.... so if you like them super well done, just ask for them well done. But they were still very good!! The Pepperoni Garlic Gourmet as a GREAT flavor!!!! It was a good pizza.... the pepperoni is authentic with a little zest or spicy ness to it. So you might not need crushed red pepper. Overall, I would totally go there again and highly recommend it to anyone!!! (And I love love love Pizza!!!) They also gave us plates and plenty of crushed red pepper and Parmesan. We give it 4 stars only because they told us 30 minutes for pickup and we got there at 40 minutes.... so it wasn't piping hot. So our advice be there TOTALLY on time for a pick up.
