I ordered a large half & half pizza. Got the Pizza Guys Combo and the Serrano Chili pizza as well as the Cheezee Jalapeño bread. The pizzas were not tasty. The red sauce has no flavor and the stuffed crust was bland. No seasoning or anything. In addition, my pizza wasn't cooked all the way through. In the picture attached, you could see the uncooked dough sticking to the cheese and some more on the plate to the left. I contacted the store to let them know and they offered to remake the pizza for me. However, I had to drive all the way back to pick up and I did not want to. The gentleman I spoke to was rude and acted like I was an inconvenience. I don't want to speculate but it seems like they're okay with allowing customers to eat raw dough. Now I have to grab something else nearby for dinner. Disappointed. Will not be coming back. read more

I used to like this place years ago. The pizza I got Saturday was not good. The bbq sauce is super sweet and runny. Hardly any cheese in it. I guess since I ordered stuff crust the they didn't think I wanted cheese on top. Lol The cheese in the crust had no flavor at all. What happened to the buttery flavor of pizza crust. I guess I have to continue to make my own pizza at home or pay $50 elsewhere. I really haven't got any good pizza in Stockton. Help! The whole pizza was like blah. Sorry can't go back there. It's a little before noon on Tuesday, December 01, 2020, and I've arrived at Pizza Guys, during today's "grand opening," to enjoy a large "Pizza Guys Combo," pizza, "on the house," thanks to the generosity of the owner, Abe Mohammed, and the Yelp "foodie" website. The restaurant has been open since mid-November, when they opened their door to a "soft opening." Like all Pizza Guys restaurants - most restaurants are franchises - there is no dining room, as the business is modeled on takeout, curbside pickup or delivery, which is perfect during these days of the COVID-19 virus. Ordering is accomplished online, by telephone, or by walk-up. If you do walk-up, you'll notice the menu above the cashier's station, where you place your order and pay for it. The menu, above the cashier's station, is mostly "window dressing," as most orders are processed online. I placed my order by phone, and since I planned to write a review on Yelp, I told them I'd be picking it up in person, so I could actually meet the friendly staff, check out the store, and take a few photos. From the "Home of the Specialty Pizzas" section of the pizza menu, I ordered a large "Pizza Guys Combo," which seemed like the perfect place to start, when dining at a new restaurant. The menu describes the combo as, "Signature red tomato sauce on our original crust, topped with Mozzarella cheese, salami, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, yellow onions, beef and Italian sausage." That's a lot of goodness on a large pizza! I picked up my pizza, in-person, from the store, and as I drove home, I was treated to the wonderful aroma of this delicious pizza. I couldn't wait to get home, to see if this pizza tasted as good as it smelled! I was not disappointed... The foundation of every great pizza is the crust, and the crust at Abe's Pizza Guys didn't disappoint, as it was perfectly baked, lightly seasoned with butter and garlic, crusty on the outside - where it is supposed to be "crusty" and tender where the crust is supposed to be tender. A great crust like this makes for a great pizza, and that's what you get when you order a "specialty pizza" at Pizza Guys. All toppings were fresh, arranged perfectly, and in ample quantity. Pizza Guys doesn't skimp on toppings, and I noted a perfect vegetable-to-meat ratio, which is crucial to a great pizza. The toppings met the crust perfectly, thanks to the tangy red tomato sauce, and the stringy, melted Mozzarella cheese, which provided lots of robust flavor, and made the delicious pizza complete. One bite into a piece of this amazing pizza was a "pizza taste sensation," as this is delicious pizza! It's been quite some time since I've dined at home and feasted on takeout pizza , as I prefer to dine-in, so enjoying a delicious Pizza Guys pizza at home was a different dining experience for me. They came nearly uncooked, when a piece of pizza was picked up the dough was soggy and all the toppings fell off. Also, the pieces of hamburger are large chunks, not what I'm use to on pizza. Pizza Guys has the best pizza, in my opinion. We drove across town to the Plymouth location and were happy to learn when the store on West Lane opened, as it shortened our drive. Today, I went to West Lane to pick up my order and realized I had chosen the Waterloo road location as my order spot. Chan said it would not be a problem, he'd make my order here rather than me have to drive all the way to Waterloo. He coordinated with them to cancel the order there and as I had prepaid, I wouldn't have to pay here again. This great customer service means a lot to me! I contacted the store and all they could say is that the online system is not their problem, they can't find my order, and I can pay for another order if I want food. I even offered to show them my account where the money was deducted, but they did not care, so now I have no food and no money. Ordered four times from this location since they opened and each time has been exceptional. I visit Stockton from SoCal few times a year and usually struggle to fill my "pepperoni pizza" craving. What I love about Pizza Guys pizza is that the regular crust taste great and doesn't feel heavy. So I've tried different pizzas here! My favorite is the Pepperoni or Pepperoni and Italian Sausage pizza! Crust is cooked perfect, soft inside and tad crispy on the outside. Unlike many pizza places these days who skimp on toppings, there were perfect amount of toppings on the pizza (even for a one topping pizza)! I tried the combo as well. When picking up the pizza, I could smell the yummy toppings! I just couldn't wait to get home! Combo had so much toppings and they were all fresh!! You could smell and taste the freshness!! Only thing about my combo was I didn't have any Italian sausage on mine, it seemed to be only plain beef topping. Despite that, it was delicious!! Definitely getting it again, just need to remember to ask them only Italian sausage for my preference. Oh, try the creamy pesto sauce, it's a mixture of the white garlic sauce and pesto sauce. I am a snob when it comes to Pizza. I am very particular about my pizza. So I had the opportunity to try a slice of it and I was skeptical about it, surprised is what I got.
