We ordered fries, cheese sticks and a small double pepperoni. Fries and cheese sticks were served hot. Both very yummy. The pizza dough always has a distinct taste/flavor only to Tony's. I remember Tommy's when it used to be in Stockton many many years ago. The pizza dough still taste the same. The sauce has a nice tang to it. Today the crust was a bit over cooked but still good. Service was quick and you pay at the counter before you sit down. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is just like it was in Stockton, exactly the same. Very dark inside with wood tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All it's missing is the soft serve! Good pizza new food offerings. Will be back soon!

One of the best pizza places in Lodi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a great salad bar and plenty of space inside for parties.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also quickly quieted screaming children in the arcade without being asked which everyone inside appreciated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the old school vibe that remains all these years.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lodi Ca.~ What an amazing restaurant! Beautiful decor in…read moreboth the restaurant and the patio area! The food was just as fabulous as the decor. We started out with the deep fried zucchini. Out of this world. The breading was thin and crispy, and the dipping sauce was yummy. We had the catch of the day. It came with risotto that was perfectly seasoned and cheesy. My friend had the Parpadelle. She said it was prepared perfectly, and al dente just like she likes it. We definitely would return for some more spins around the menu. This place is an institution in Lodi. Highly recommend.

We made a brunch reservation for 11:30am, though we ended up ordering off the regular menu rather than brunch. That was the first odd note of the afternoon. Before the appetizers, they brought out focaccia with herbed butter, a nice alternative to the standard bread basket. The calamari appetizer with marinara and tartar sauce was fine, nothing memorable. My mom's eggplant parmesan arrived warm but not hot and cooled down quickly. The pizzas, a Funghi and a Margherita, were cooked well in the stone oven and were genuinely the best thing on the table, but they arrived warm and cooled down quickly, the same issue as my mom's eggplant parmesan. With the air conditioning blowing directly overhead, hot food didn't really stand a chance. The service is where things unraveled. When we were first seated, the manager came by and helped with my dad's walker, which was a nice touch. After that it went downhill. When my dad asked for something light, the waiter recommended the carbonara, a dish built on guanciale, grana, egg, and black pepper. That's not light by any definition. It's a basic gap in menu knowledge that does the guest a disservice. The menu also had salmon, ricotta toast, and eggs in purgatory. My dad also asked for red pepper flakes to go with his pizza and they took unusually long to arrive, so he had to flag down a different waiter to get them. The waiter noticed I was drinking my Bloody Mary slowly and offered a different version that actually tasted better. If there's a preferred version, lead with it. When I made eye contact to signal we were ready to pay, he acknowledged it but continued socializing with a coworker before finally coming over and taking my card, as if he was surprised we wanted to pay. When a customer is ready, they're ready. He took my card, asked if we wanted dessert, went to grab the dessert menu, then handed it back. Just hold onto the card. I'm paying with the same card regardless. Handing it back makes no sense. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with a full bar, outdoor seating, a small store at the entrance, and a vegetable garden out front. It's a great setting. Dinner service might be a different experience, but on this visit the dining room wasn't particularly full, which made it more noticeable that the staff prioritized socializing over the guests in front of them. For the record, the suggested tip on the receipt started at 18%. On the way out, two hostesses stood by and did nothing while my parents, one of whom was on a walker, made their way to the door on their own. Getting the door is common courtesy for the elderly. Pietro's has the ingredients of a great restaurant. The space is beautiful, the stone oven pizza is genuinely good, and the brunch menu has real potential. But a restaurant is only as good as its execution, and right now the service and the food temperatures are letting the kitchen down. They just need to meet it.

This is an "order at the register" place which is right in front of the door, so it gets cramped if there is a line. Pizzas are what I would describe as "European style", so don't expect a family sized pie. They are for the individual, or parties that wish to order multiples and share. Crust is thin. I order extra tomato sauce because almost every pizza joint skimps on sauce. I've only ever ordered olives and mushrooms, a personal fav. It's always good, but dispersement of toppings can vary. Though quality is good, price is a bit high. I can get a large at a number of spots around town for less. But sometimes you want quality over quantity. I've never eaten at the establishment, but have always waited for my to-go order. They tend to play pop-country music fairly loud, which competes with the Mexican place next door. Clashing loud music is never a good thing. Keep it ambient and neutral. They always want to give me a plastic bag with paper plates and utensils. Great if I asked for them if I were going on a picnic. But I'm just bringing it home, so no need so better to ask ahead of time instead of bringing it to me at delivery. Just a thought. People there are mostly nice, or at the very least, just above indifferent, what you might expect from young people now days. I'll be back. Not open on Mondays.

We've been wanting to try this spot for a while, and since their other location is closed in Sacramento on Tuesdays, we finally made the trip to Lodi and wow, it was absolutely worth it the wait and Abdul that helped us was cool. He had a good sense of humor. We were coming back from Monterey and all of us were hungry. We ordered quite a feast: (3) chicken tikka wraps without lettuce 8 piece chicken tikka 8 piece chicken malai 6 regular naans + 1 garlic naan Tandoori fish order Tandoori chicken pizza Chicken tikka masala rice plate Every single item was flavorful, mouth watering, and cooked perfectly. The chicken tikka and malai were tender and packed with flavor. The naans were soft and fresh, and the chicken tikka masala rice plate had that rich, comforting sauce that was creamy smooth you can't stop eating and dipping your naan into. The tandoori fish was a standout smoky, well seasoned, and tender. They give a lot of meat inside the wraps. The tandoori chicken pizza... let's just say we couldn't even wait to get home. We ate a slice in the car because the smell alone was too tempting. That's how good it was. We took everything to go, the quality was top tier! You can tell they care about their food and flavors and wanting their customers happy. Abdul kept letting us know the status of our order and took care of us with chutney and ranch. If you've been thinking about trying Smokey Grill, don't wait.... this place delivers on every level! Ask for Abdul, he is down to earth nice guy. 5 stars!! Thanks Abdul!! Photos are attached

He was saying initially the owner was running it out of a truck and then finally bought this fish market and converted it into the restaurant you see today. I typically stay with the standard pepperoni pizza whereas my friend will occasionally try their new specials. But no matter what pizza you get the pizzas are phenomenal. I usually can only eat half while I'm there, I take the other half to go home and I kid you not by the next afternoon that pizza is already gone, sometimes it doesn't even make it through the night. I guess that's why my friend tells me that sometimes he'll buy two pizzas for himself. They have plenty of seating inside as well as outside, the staff is always super friendly and helpful. They offer beer, wine, and soft drinks if you're not looking for alcohol. There is not enough positive things I can say though about this pizza and you have to try it for yourself.
