He gives me a small plastic cup of a clear liquid, smelling faintly of sulfur (Being an ex-chemistry professor at Harvard University, I could tell the smell instantly). Hesitantly, but thinking to myself that I already spent the $4,000 security deposit for the first singing appointment, I downed the cup. He takes out a tape recorder, and I just remembered thinking to myself, "What fucking year is it? Is this an interrogation?" So he starts recording and asks me to give him the ol' "Do-Re-Mi" in a falsetto vibrato and obviously, being the great Jon Bon Jovi's nephew, I executed it perfectly. He then leaves the room to perform what he called a "spectral melodic analysis", and had me sit for another two hours in that room while the air conditioner was absolutely BLASTING, and mind you, this was IN THE WINTER!!! Only two days after that lesson, I woke up with a cluster of sebaceous cysts ALL OVER MY FACE, that which could only be attributed to the MYSTERIOUS, SULFUR-RIDDEN CONCOCTION YOU SERVE YOUR CUSTOMERS! The only reason I give this place two stars is because my doctor gave me this medication to reduce the inflammation, and it gets me fucking clapped. Might have to get some more of this shit too.

We get Into it to enjoy music right? So John had my girlfriend and I sit with him for over and hour demoing amps and speakers. I ended up buying a Rega Elex MK4 which was a massive upgrade for me and honestly a big investment, but they really did not push me to spend one dollar more than I could afford. While we were there I told him what bookshelf speakers I had and he connected some similarly sized bookshelves with a pair of REL subs and I was just completely enamored with the suddenly gutsy sound. Fast forward a couple of months and I went to buy the REL, which has totally exceeded my expectations.
