I got several quotes for cabinets in my garage from several companies. Jason, the sales rep was very knowledgeable and pointed out the differences in materials on other quotes and explained the pros and cons without bias. Ultimately I went with VIP because of their reasonable price and quality materials. What shocked me was how quickly they were able to schedule the install (barely enough time to move my junk out of the way - yes I'm a pack rat). Naturally I cant remember my installers name right now, but he was FABULOUS. Got it all done in one day and they are absolutely stunning. (pictures I'll add later). I did have to order more shelves, probably should have made that decision while my installer was there... but oh well... no biggie, got them within a week. (Now to stash all my junk!) The salesman Chris was the shining star of this outfit. Unfortunately, that is where the quality experience ended. He captured my design perfectly. The execution missed when the newly acquired installer showed up alone for a sizeable cabinet job. I had 8 foot cabinets, with over head storage and a work bench. This job should have been a two man project. At least from the start to get the tall cabinets and overheads set up. It should have been a one day install and turned into 2 full days and they are still not complete. The staples holes were not filled, there was no caulking for sizable gaps where my wall was bowed a bit, (3 minutes to caulk that by the way) missing hinges, missing shelves (they brought out 2nd day) but hinges were wrong size, tall door was missing hinge and still does not shut right, is delaminating, chipped face on one of the shelves that Jay (operations manager) said he would replace when in the area. After a week and three days, a technician show up to replace 2 doors, shelf and fill the staple holes. I would think twice about having them complete a job for you. There is disorganization and the craftsmanship is not of the highest quality. (adjustable shelves are not peg board type) they screw in two cheap aluminum rails and clips for the shelving. They also charge you 4% if you are paying by credit card, so I ended up writing a check. An A+ rating by the BBB is bought by businesses, so do not rely on that when making your decision. read more

He responded right away and was very thorough and fair in his estimate, and we decided to hire them over two other companies we interviewed. We needed lots of covered storage in our new garage, but wanted to keep the garage looking nice. This family owned/operated business exceeded our expectations in every way. They have a wonderful showroom and Trina explained all the options in great detail. They have three levels of cabinets from budget to top of the line, but all use 3/4 inch MDF. We chose the top grade to get the best looking contemporary look. We bought three ten-foot high four-foot wide units. Total cost about $2,000. The shop is in back and it took about two weeks to build and schedule the installation. Jason came to the house and took the measurements. He was very helpful and friendly. Matt showed up early the morning of the scheduled installation and had the whole thing done by noon. It looks great and reflects the top quality materials and workmanship this company provides. We recently ordered and VIP installed new garage, office, and laundry cabinets which are absolutely beautiful, and the garage floor coated (epoxy). The cabinet installer was FANTASIC (I believe his name was Raoul). We did, however, have a few issues with the epoxy floor. Besides a few scheduling bumps and follow-up issues, the installer Dan seemed not well versed on applying a "quick-cure" epoxy. After the garage floor cured, we observed a few " hazy-cloudy" spots where Dan had momentarily left the roller on the floor and the epoxy started to harden...and there were a few application misses under the cabinets as well. After speaking with our salesman Chris, the areas in-question were sanded and re-coated by Dan. Overall, I would rate my experience with VIP at 3-stars. read more

He worked out a solution, an entire dresser unit that would not be part of the wall. The dresser is awesome. Looks like a built-in. Recently had some cabinets installed in my garage. The experience started out great with Chris and the woman in the office providing great customer service and follow up. The problems began with the installation as it took 3 visits and over 16 hours to install, a job which if done properly should have taken 3-4 hours at most. Since we were not moved in yet that meant having to make 3 trips to let them in etc. when finally finished the cabinets seem fine but after a little more research seem to have cost more than they should have. Probably charge more to make up for the extra ordinary amount of time to install. Not once during this process did anyone call and say they were sorry or offer any sort of discount. VIP is like that kid in school who everyone likes but never did anything quite right. Would not recommend. read more

My Wife and I had VIP design and install Laundry Room cabinets and Kitchen Cabinet Pull-out Drawers this past July. We couldn't be more satisfied with the products and service from VIP. Folks may not know that they can save alot of money by not having a new home builder install cabinets in the Laundry. At our house it would have been nearly $900! The cabinets that VIP custom-designed and installed were around $400 and they have twice as much interior storage than the ones from the builder design center. Not only that, our pull-out drawers we had VIP put in in the lower Kitchen cabinets sure save trouble and knee-wear getting to the pots and pans. I can't recommend VIP enough! read more

I called VIP Smart Storage to get a price on an epoxy garage floor. Gene Miller came out when he said he would, measured up the floor, showed me some samples and explained the process to me. VIP wasn't the cheapest, but they were using the best quality materials (from what I have researched) so I signed the contract. When the day came to start the install Mike showed up (again, on time) to do the install. This guy is fantastic. He did a lot of work (hard work) to properly prep the floor for the epoxy coating (grinding, patching, replacing expansion joint board, caulking etc..) and he did it all correctly. Every step of the way, he paid great attention to detail. Mike is a true professional and if he is doing your floor, you can take it to the bank that the job is going to be done correctly.
