We weren't ready for a total remodel nor even a replacement floor. We had one cracked ceramic tile. Mark came looked the tile and gave us a reasonable quote, on just cutting out the old and putting in a close match. He measured and found a white replacement that is almost a perfect match. The tile guy wasn't happy with the grout choice so went and got 2 other choices. We picked and it looks amazing. We will be able to enjoy the close match and admire the work each time we look at it. I've worked with these folks on a number of projects for my home and they've always done great. Even when an error was made (shower bench placed too high), they admitted the problem and made it right. Great service is about how they deal with problems. A few days ago, I went there and needed to match some grout to do a small repair to a project. Not only did they have records of the job from several years ago, they also gave me a small ziplock with grout so I could do the repair for free. Great service, great products. read more

VIP Stone and Tile is a hidden gem on the Northshore. I have driven by is 100 times and thought it was a tiny little specialty shop. Was I wrong. They have everything you could want when it comes to tile flooring and back splashes. It is a bit like a Mom and Pop shop in that they are very friendly and down to earth and extremely helpful . . . but they can get anything and a really great prices. My builder was supposedly passing on "contractor pricing" , but Mark at VIP beat every price and had everything delivered right to the house. I even found a few had to get tiles on line and they sourced them for me is smaller quantities than I could buy on line. They have a large quantity of samples for you to take home and think about and will help with design work too. read more

The tile Philip helped me choose turned out amazing. The installer couldn't have been more of a perfectionist either. Mark, Phillip, and Frank were the professional and ethical people I wish I had found in the beginning. After I fired my contractor, I ask Mark and his staff if they could fix my three bathrooms. The grounding was sooooo bad. It was falling out between the tile, it was missing grout in areas. It was a real mess. Well, Mark, Phillip, and Frank took charge of the project immediately. They had to take all the old grout out, they regrouted and sealed all the areas. The bathrooms now look amazing. They cleaned up their work areas each and every day. They came when they said they would. They are professional and ethical in every way. I will use them exclusively for all tile work. It may look like a small store; but believe me, they have more tile than there is space to write about it. We purchased Statuary Tile or so we thought. It turns out we were charge up to $44.00 a square foot on portions of this promised top grade material only to discover it is flawed, has no uniformity, came from 3 different suppliers and the base and Bullnose pencils don't match. We paid thousands and thousands of dollars.. CASH only to VIP as that's how they operate only to get what our new installers are calling the lowest grade and not installable material. VIP won't contact us. They already sold us FAKE premium top grade Thassos and Black Granite for a very high price only to discover is came from Home Depot and we could have paid $4.00 a Sq ft for it.. We were shocked discovering this latest scam. We have already hired and attorney for all of the other issues now this pops up They are literally horrible people. I'm also going to contact the IRS about their cash operation. I'm guessing there is some funny business going on that the IRS would love to delve into.. Wow these guys are crooks in my opinion. They also have once again delayed our project as we had to purchase new material for that bathroom yesterday. read more

WATCH OUT! VIP took my marble pieces and won't call me back. They fabricated a couple pieces summer 2015 and promised that the several other very expensive marble pieces they were holding for me would be in good care and available when I needed them. I have tried to contact the owner 8 times over the past 5 weeks (Jan/Feb 2016) and I received one response saying he has no idea where my marble is and then radio silence. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of these dishonest, non-responsive individuals!! read more
