Staff was able to sell me the lightbulb I needed, but when I asked for help installing it, they insisted it was impossible without a specialized set of tools I've never needed. Whenever I ask to have something done on my car I ask for certain individuals and I receive them. When I get those individuals the work is done in a timely manner. This something my father and brother taught me. When cost to the work I look at it this way. If you want good quality you need to pay a little more. Great service, 100% recommend! Ricky took great care of me today when I came in needing two new tires due to failing my Car Inspection because of low tred. I had thought that I needed - and I asked for - four new tires, but after a quick inspection they noticed my front tires (which I had replaced two years ago after a blowout from a pothole) were still new and did not need replacement. Needless to say I was elated at the savings and honesty! I will be a returning customer for sure. Tires purchased here were expensive and terrible quality. Had to replace every 6 months for 2 years until I realized it wasn't just the horrible pot hole infested roads in Maine/New England, but the quality of the tires. Our battery light came on at 5:15 as we arrived in town from Boston. I called and Bob told us to bring it in-- even though they were close to closing. They took the car right in to check it out. Seemed to be an intermittent issue and we did not need to replace alternator now. However, it was a relief to know the voltage was ok. Extremely friendly and helpful. If our son goes to college here, we will definitely be back! Best auto repair experience in years. read more

I went in to get a diagnostic run for my car to see what was wrong with my windshield wipers. They charged me 63 dollars. Wasn't on the paper I asked for. And during that process they broke my fucking windshield and cracked it into two places. They see a young girl and took advantage of me. Sick fuckers can't do there fucking job. read more

Horrible! They made me drive all the way over just to tell me that I need to change my Address on my registration so I had to go to town office first even though I made an appointment way ahead of time. they didn't think to email me or call me to tell me that my registration wouldn't work when I told them previously about my registration and they said it would be fine and then they change their mind as soon as I walked in the store and waited five minutes for someone to come to the desk. Edit. I went back after I changed my address to get the inspection done and the guy came up to me after waiting about 15 minutes and told me very sternly that I had no business leaving a bad review because he was just following guidelines. I told him that I understood and that's why I didn't mention his name. However I was disappointed in the way the store handled it that's why I left a bad review he demanded I take the review down and I told him I would consider taking the review down if my opinion changed of the store after my inspection. However he proceeded to raise his voice and say I was stupid for leaving bad a review. After that I didn't trust anyone to take my car in and get inspected. The way he spoke to me in an undermining way because I was a woman, I think he would've ruined my car out of spite. I left the store crying. read more

VIP in Auburn always does a great job with my oil change!

Liars and cheats. Brought a car there to get inspected told me I need to change the windshield wipers to get it to pass. Don't know why I just changed them a week or so before. I think they didn't want to only have me pay for an inspection since the car was in order besides that. My wife had her tires wearing in a bad way but she brings them to vip to get rotated every time she's gets an oil change and pays more then other places because of it to keep her warranty she got on them. The inspector of her car told her it was one tire more so, manager wasn't in so we had to come back. We come back meet with the manager he says it's the opposite tires and our warranty will only give us $10 off news tires which are overly priced at vip anyway some crap warranty! Then the manager starts making excuses that we didn't bring our car in enough to get them rotated when we did and have to paper work? Have had to bring the car in to have the same repair done on it multiple times because the repairs dont hold up. Won't be back old management was great this new guy sucks. read more

We will never do business with the VIP T & S in Auburn again! I was moving up from FL to ME and needed new winter tires and rims for my car and purchased them from VIP T & S in Auburn. They were helpful each time I needed service done with my car and I never complained about the costs. I was actually a loyal customer of theirs and even made my husband go there when he needed repairs for his truck. This shop was even out of our way but we would go there anyway but that all stopped during my last visit. This time they weren't helpful because they weren't getting service money from me, as a free service they were putting my winter rims with the tires I bought from them back on my car that had been stored away for six months untouched and barely used. The rims and tires were only used for one winter and in perfect condition, but then when I picked my car up after they put them back on later I noticed there were scratches on all four rims. These scratches matched in a circular pattern on all four rims. To make this long story short after so many attempts to get my issue resolved the store manager tried to make it right in face of another customer, he said that he would send someone to look at my rims to get them repaired. A month later the manager finally calls me to let me know he was finally sending someone to look at my rims because he apologized it took so long and said the reason it took so long for him to get back to me was because the store got so busy and since he sent the guy to look at my rims it has now passed four months and I have not heard anything back from the manager. This just goes to show that the manager is only good when it comes to receiving service money but when his shop and mechanics cause damages to customers cars he does not stand by his promises to make things right. I warn anyone else that is thinking of getting service at this business to take photos of their car before this shop works on it or go someplace else that are honest and will not take advantage of you like they did me. read more

I was out of state and bumped a curb- took my car to VIP to get it checked before my 5 hour drive home. The staff was so prompt and efficient and had my car in the air to inspect within minutes. This was my first experience in which a mechanic walked me under the car to show me all of his concerns and made sure I understood. Then came the tires- which I didn't realize, were totally bald and very badly needed to be changed. I wasn't planning on buying tires at this time, but they explained to me and showed me the problems with those on my car and gave me several options to replace- all of which were excellent deals for tires! I was so appreciative to work with mechanics who genuinely cared about my safety while driving. I will be a VIP customer for life! About 3 months ago my car was making a strange noise so I decided to bring it in. I'm not from the area (I go to school in Lewiston) so I asked some people and they said to go to VIP. They told me my tires needed to be adjusted in some way and my back brakes needed to be replaced. All in all, I spent about $600 for the adjustments. After I left, I was still hearing the noise, but I figured it was superficial after all the work I had done. Ever since then my brakes have had many problems. One month ago I had to get a rear brake caliper replaced and just today my rear wheel started wobbling, so I brought my car in to my trusted auto maintenance guy. When he calls me, the first thing he asked was where I got my brakes done, because they're terrible. I now have to get my all my brake rotors replaced and much of this could have been avoided had my car not been toyed with. I feel that VIP took advantage of me as a 20-year-old female with little car knowledge and I don't think I will be returning to VIP any time soon. read more
