Which is exactly what I liked about this store. Plenty of NES titles at reasonable prices. And while I usually buy most of these online, I found the prices to be comparable. At least for the one's I was eyeing. Adventures Of Bayou Billy, Dr Mario, and Skate Or Die. Yet ultimately went with the first one mentioned. The cartridge worked great on the first try. No glitchy, pixelated, or blank screen whatsoever. I always give them a cleaning with 91% Isopropyl Alcohol before inserting for the first time. And found this one to be pretty clean. The QTips usually look like I've dipped them in ink afterwards. Not here though. Wonder if they clean them beforehand? Yes, I could have possibly saved a few bucks buying online, but for various reasons I wanted to support this business. Which has been around for quite some time. Also I found the vibe here to be way more chill, compared to the recent GameStops I've been to. The music playing here was really cool as well.

He made it abundantly clear that he did not want to provide service for anything and that I should check out the other store because this is a "more of a warehouse." he was eager to have me out of the store and referred to everything as junk. I honestly hope that he could find a job where he wants to work because this ain't it.

My Event was at the end of August 2024. Highly recommend this family business…read more Service: Communicative attentiveness, availability was great. The game coaches were excellent and their professionalism, service and cleanliness were top notch. Guests absolutely loved the snow cone machine (8 flavors) and were served by the game truck team. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. As such, service area limitation premiums $$ and travel fees were not referenced nor communicated in the procurement conversation. The business educated me about them after invoice was provided. Please ask for the distances as they differed - at the time - from the website I was told about on payment day (event day).

The inside was nice and cool on a hot day, and the outside had shades that made it easy to play and view the screens too. The set up and service was top notch. Staff was super professional. And cost wise it's about what you'd pay for any bday bash service like Lazer tag, petting zoo, etc. highly recommend!

I'm a private Pokémon card collector that has never ventured into the world of buy/sell/trade, so I decided I'd call a few shops in the area to see what they'd recommend, and this is exactly how this conversation went. Guy answers phone, i asked him if he had a minute to answer a couple questions i had. "i mean i have a few people I'm helping right now but yeah sure" I proceed to explain that i was looking for guidance or advice on how to offload my extensive Pokémon card collection as I'm moving out of the area, and i was wondering if they had a buyer or something of the sort that would sit down with me and run through it to see what they're willing to buy, etc. He responds, "oookay. Are you planning on paying someone for that?" Confused, i asked what he meant? "Basically what I'm getting at is no, we don't do that. I have a guy here that's really knowledgeable about that kinda stuff but i wouldn't wanna waste his time" I thanked him for his "candid" (read: completely rude) response and that i would look elsewhere. Needless to say I'll never step foot here again.

I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. When I came to pickup my DS, I noticed there was a popped pixel on the new screen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. He said he couldn't do that and all replacement screens have popped pixels. I ended up paying and still have a defective screen. I would never come back here or recommend this place to anyone.

AVOID this business…read more First red flag: the storefront looked abandoned, like it had been through an earthquake. I should have walked out immediately, but I didn't--and that mistake cost me. My PS5 fan connector broke and needed to be re-soldered to the motherboard. The owner said he'd diagnose it for $30 and let me know if he could fix it. A few hours later, he called back and told me he had already "fixed" the console--but now the fan would be "a little louder." Huge red flag. Any professional would update the customer and get approval before moving forward with an unorthodox repair. While my PlayStation technically works, the fan now runs at full speed and sounds like a vacuum cleaner--unbearably loud. With how hard the fan is spinning, I seriously doubt the console's longevity. When I called to ask for an explanation, I got a vague half-answer and was told to "just turn up the TV volume" to drown out the noise. Absolutely ridiculous advice. I've attached a photo and video for proof. Curious about what was done, I opened the console and found a sloppy, makeshift repair and a note taped inside in Sharpie that read "do not open." Unbelievable. On top of that, I'm pretty sure they deleted a save file from a game I had poured hundreds of hours into. For the record, I'm not a "Karen." I support small businesses that do quality work and communicate honestly. But if a repair can't be done without major tradeoffs, tell me upfront so I can make my own decision. Avoid this place. Find a reputable electronics repair shop instead. Edit: If you want a preview of the kind of person you'll be dealing with, read the owner's response to negative reviews--full of name-calling, excuses, and petty deflection.
