They DON'T Buy Dvd's/Blu-Rays. It's mentioned very clearly on their website they do, before I even drove there. The lady cashier just said to me "Well No we Don't, We're gonna have to update that then.". We'll that's unprofessional

I went to CineFile Video today for the first time ever. I browsed the store. I like the decor in it. I also like their movie selections. What stood out to me also were all the movie posters on the walls.

Such a great experience getting to walk into an actual video store. Walked in to Cinefile looking for some old Mexican wrestling films and the gentleman upfront was so knowledgeable about film. I think knowledgeable is an understatement, but nonetheless, he was very friendly and informative. This is definitely the best place in LA to find literally any film from any genre and any country. Unfortunately, I did not walk out with anything since I was looking to purchase some films but the gentleman was super honest about their purchase policy and their markup policy which I genuinely appreciated and understand that they also have a cost to replace their films. With all of that said, I will definitely be coming back to rent some old films in the near future. I truly appreciate the honesty and friendliness of the employee working on 8/13/2022 around 9:00pm. Cinefile, please give this employee the recognition he deserves. Oh and by the way, playing " Howling II: Your sister is a werewolf" was an excellent choice in film to be playing in store!

I have a lot of VHS gems that I need to get rid off because I need the space. Please if you know a store in the Los Angeles area where they accept them or sell them, let me know?

Hello Beatriz! Thanks for the message. We accept VHS on donation at our store. Feel free to bring them by during open hours! www.cinefilevideo.com

The game coaches were excellent and their professionalism, service and cleanliness were top notch. Guests absolutely loved the snow cone machine (8 flavors) and were served by the game truck team. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. We went to geeksquad first, which apparently no longer sends out consoles to Sony for repair. And then we went to GameStop, where we were told that they do not do repairs either. But the workers at GameStop highly recommended Videomen. That is how we came to know about this location. I came to Videomen with my husband after calling and explaining the issue that we were having with my husbands ps5 slim. My husbands first impression was very pessimistic, simply because the location looks like it hasn't been updated in years. We went in and met Tai. Tai is the only one working in the store. I believe it is his location. He explained he would try his best to fix the issue, and quoted us a price for the repair. He said if he wasn't able to fix the console, he would only charge $25 for his time, which we found very reasonable. Tai told us to give him a call in hour for a report on his progress. We left and my husband was still very doubtful, saying the store was empty, and outdated. I told my husband that it looked like Tai and the Videomen location had been there for more than 20 years, working to repair electronics. I told him, I put my faith in him much more than a kid working part time in a newer store. After an hour we called again at 5:00pm, well past the store closing time. But Tai answered the phone to let us know that he was still working to solve the issue and would need more time. We understood and agreed to give him another call back in an hour. Tai ended up giving us a call around 6:00pm letting us know the console was up and running perfectly again! He asked if we wanted to pick up tonight or tomorrow. I let Tai know we were about 25 minutes according to GPS and he agreed to wait for us to pick the console up from his store. When we arrived Tai was very communicative. He connected the ps5 for a monitor to show us that the console was up and running smoothly before he explained all he had done to repair the console, and the likely reason it failed to work in the first place. He told us he let the console run for about 45 minutes to make sure the issue didn't arise again. And literally explained everything we needed to know to prevent the issue from ever happening again. Now, My husband is in a much better mood since we have received the working PS5 back from Tai. And we 100% recommend him to anyone and everyone in need of an electronic repair. I definitely recommend calling beforehand to speak to Tai, verifying that he will be in the store. And to communicate the item you need repaired plus the issues you are having with it. It's very rare to see a mom and pop shop still standing, and I am happy I was able to support this gem in my community. We will definitely return for any future repairs our family may need, And will proudly refer Tai at Videomen to anyone looking to repair their gaming console.

I took my childhood Nintendo DS Lite to Videomen to get the top screen fixed as it was broken. I've been waiting for years to get the screen fixed and was excited to finally see it happen. I told the guy who was working there who I think is the owner that there is a popped pixel and if he could install a new screen. It's brewed in a copper cup and heated by using scalding hot sand. Seriously. They have an electric sandbox machine used to boil the coffee, replicating the traditional Turkish method of brewing coffee from hundreds of years ago. I like the original Turkish Coffee and taking it black. The coffee is so smooth that you don't need milk, and in my opinion you really should experience the full aromatic flavors of the Turkish coffee without the milk covering it up. You get a little butterscotch on the side too. More than just a coffee shop, Endless Noise is a testament to human ingenuity and the creative spirit. Tucked away in what I (for lack of better words) call Santa Monica's "warehouse district," Endless Noise began as strictly a recording studio- and a damn good one too. The owner used to serve Turkish coffee to his clients. One day, he decided to start selling vinyl records to the community. Then, he started offering his Turkish coffee as well. Why not? I've been trying to grab a coffee here for two years, but I always made the mistake of coming on the weekends when they were closed. I don't know why I decided to try again today of all days, on a Monday afternoon. But as I approached the store and saw their door open for the first time, I felt like I was stepping into a dream and taking a break from reality for a bit. Shout out to Aiden, the incredible barista running this joint. What can I say? Endless Noise is good people through and through.
