Fantastic experience from top to bottom. New roof and new windows in my townhouse, which were original to the place from 1999. I had many, many quotes come in ranging from the "you can't possibly do it this cheap legally" to the "you must think I am an idiot as your bid was three times what the next highest quote was". Eddie from Virginia Exteriors came in with a totally low pressure sale, gave me a much better window than everyone else and a roof quote with better shingles than everyone else. The price was one of the lowest I got as well. Install time came in for the roof. I left the house at 9am and came back at 3 with an entirely new roof completely installed and cleaned up. My neighbor was amazed at how quickly they got in with a large experienced crew and put up a pretty great roof. My window experience literally just finished. They arrived with a full crew and did not stop working the entire time and just left with the place looking spotless inside and out. The window install is top notch, the warranty is lifetime and the crew were consummate professionals. It's intimidating to get bids for these things. One is always afraid one will get taken advantage of. Do yourself a favor and give Eddie a call at Virginia Exteriors if you need siding, windows or a roof. However still waiting for 3 months the replacement for the rollers for my screen deck door. I have used this company two times. The first time was to replace my windows and doors on my townhouse in Leesburg. The second time now was to replace all my windows on my home in Purcellville. I cannot stress enough how awesome Eddie and his team are. They are rockstars as far as I a concerned. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail are unmatched in my book. And the quality of their products is stellar. I really enjoyed the work they did at my previous townhouse for many years and now I am more than impressed with the work that his team did at my current home. I have to laugh because they almost did too good of a job. The windows look so nice I need to go buy some new window treatments because my older ones don't do these new windows justice. Virginia Exteriors removed and installed 2 exterior doors for us today - a conversion of a single front door to a custom 2 door front door and a rear door of the house leading to a patio. I can't recommend VA Exteriors more highly. I chose Eddie and team after meeting with three additional companies to replace a sliding glass door and it was an easy choice. I just had the windows and doors replaced with Virginia Exteriors, and couldn't be happier. The other companies that I contacted for a quote wouldn't even come to my house unless my husband and I were both home, which is next to impossible with our schedules. Eddie came out and gave us a quote with no gimmicks and no pressure; he offered lots of tips on what styles would look good on our house. Once we scheduled the installation, the workers showed up exactly on time and had everything installed by dinner, even working through some pretty heavy rain. They did a thorough job of cleaning up at the end. My kitchen is now a solid 15 degrees cooler in the afternoon, even without any blinds. This company has recently changed their name. They used to be Creative Windows of Virginia. I have used them through their sales person Kenny Manion several times at both of my homes. They had previously done a roof and windows for me and I found the price and service to be excellent. Well that's all gone. The estimate went as it had in the past. The quote was $800 higher than the next lowest one, but they had done such a good job in the past that I was willing to pay more to have them do it. Big mistake. The contract called for the job to start within 4 - 6 weeks. At week 6 I called for an update and was told by the office manager that she would get back with me. She didn't. I left a message for the salesman and got no return call either. I then waited a few days and told them to schedule the job immediately or send me a refund. They scheduled that job for a few days later. That was 7 weeks and 1 day from contract date. Ok, I'm just unhappy about the poor communication, not so much about how long it took. I made two specific requests in my contract. Replace the existing attic fan with plywood and do not put ladders on my expensive Leafguard gutters. I showed up in the morning when they arrived and tried to tell them these things, but unlike previous times, there was no supervisor and no one on the job site spoke English. The ladders were all over my gutter and was scratching the paint off. I came back several hours later to find they were putting the shingles on. I noticed the attic fan had not been removed. I had to get one of them to call their supervisor on the phone so I could have him explain that the fan should be removed. They didn't have any more plywood so they wanted to put a small piece in instead of a whole sheet. I had paid for a whole sheet in the contract price so I made them go get one. I was there 3 times during the job and not once did anyone mention to me that they had replaced 8 sheets of plywood and most of the 1 x 12 wood that was apparently bad under the roof eves both front and back. The first I knew about it was when they called me to get me to pay the remainder of my bill. They charged me $735 for the extra wood. I was told by the salesman that the estimator had walked the roof and did not think I would need any plywood. If they found I did, it would be $60 a sheet. I was surprised that they later replaced 7 sheets and didn't bother to call. I was shocked that they replaced wood with 1 x 12 pine under the eves and did not call. 7 sheets of plywood should have been $420. So I guess that means that the 1 x 12 cost $315. It's only $2.00 a foot at Home Depot, so that would be 78 feet in the front and 78 in the back. My house is just not that long. Now here is the WORST part of the whole mess. They used white pine that is now just exposed to the air underneath the eaves and the edge is exposed and can be seen under the edge of the shingles. You can't just leave untreated wood exposed to the elements? Would have been nice to use pressure treated wood or paint them first. No one called to tell me our ask me what they should do. No one called to ask later was I satisfied. They did call and ask for payment with was $735 more than bargained for. They won't get any more of my business. read more

Exceptional quality installation, great product, competitive pricing, and excellent customer service!!! After spending more than 9 months researching vinyl windows, and taking numerous days off of work to meet sales reps at my home with samples, a friend of mind recommended Creative Windows, now operating as Virginia Exteriors. He had just had 18 windows installed in Leesburg, so I went out to see them. He had them in for about 2 months, and talked about how much quieter and tighter his house was, after replacing the aluminum builder windows. I had gotten quotes from Renewal by Anderson, Thompson Creek, and 3 other contractor companies. Kenny in sales provided me a quote the same day as my inquiry and brought a sample window for my wife to inspect. The window (Simonton Assure) is every bit as good as the Thompson Creek and Anderson Renewal products at a fraction of the price. The day of the install, 6 trucks showed up at 8:00 with my 30 windows, along with a crew of about 14 installer employees (not subcontractors). Alberto and his crew worked dilgently to get all the windows in and completed by 3:00, and my house was left very clean. The sales manager, and the owner of the firm (Ed) came by to check on progress. I immediately noticed a difference in the sound of the house, and noticed the heat pump was cycling considerably less. These guys were real professionals, trustworthy, and very considerate of my home. The price that Virginia Exteriors was less than half of what Anderson and Thompson's Creek quoted, and the windows are excellent. Other local contractors were more than $5K higher for comparable vinyl windows. The Simonton windows are sleek, super efficient and tight, and really enhance the appearance of my home. My only regret is not having done this years ago with Virginia Exteriors and replacing the lousy aluminum builders windows sooner. The convenience of having a clean home after only 1 day off of work with the install was significant to me. I am not typically the type of person who makes time to write reviews, but i honestly believe in the quality and professionalism of this company. I had Virginia Exteriors install new windows in my home. I dealt with the owner, Eddie. He stayed with us through the entire process, never pressured us, and was very knowledgeable about windows. The day of install, he came over with a crew of workers, who were all very professional. They kept the work areas clean and cleaned up extremely well when the work was complete. It only took a few hours for them to get everything done. I really have noticed the difference in temperature in my home. It was well worth the money. I have used Virginia Exteriors for several jobs. They have done my windows and roof. They have also done a couple of my friends houses. I worked with Kenny on each job and everything went great. We contracted with Virginia Exteriors for all new windows, a new huge french door leading onto our deck and new gutters. The process was painless. Had we known we would have had this work done years ago. Eddie the owner was easy to deal with and responsive before during and after the job. The work was done exactly on schedule. The quality was excellent. You can imagine how involved a job of this size can be. The interior work was done on schedule. No incidental damage. There was good attention to detail. What I also liked is that there was no sense that they were rushing me or rushing through the work. They did it right. Carlos, the lead foreman had a good crew. They were professional polite and didn't mess around. Carlos also was responsive, answering questions and following up with quality control. Seems like company is just interested in getting the job done, not in customer satisfaction. We chose the Alside windows for our home. We are happy with them except for the Alside twin casement window. We were never shown this particular window up front probably because It is hideous. Very little glass view. Obtrusive and cheap locks and handles. Screens are thick: we just don't use them. Asked company to replace this window that isn't up to the quality of the other windows. Told by rep that we would have to buy another window at cost (additional $500.) with no credit on existing new window (after giving their co.thousands of dollars worth of business!). They have an upgraded twin casement called the Sunrise. Steer clear of the Alside twin casement!! Wish they had shown us the Sunrise window at the beginning. Glad they now have another option and hopefully will show it to any new customers. But unfortunately we have to live with staring at this ugly window over our sink until we can afford to replace it. Truly wish we had our old casement window back. Based on customer service and the fact that two other windows had to be replaced because they were installed incorrectly, I cannot refer this co. to anyone. read more
